Located inside the Museum of the Bible. This restaurant has delicious food and is reasonably priced, which is surprising for a museum eatery. We ordered flatbreads, specifically the lamb goat cheese flatbread. It was phenominal. My daughter is gluten intolerant and they offered a gluten free version. After tasting both, I actually preferred the gluten free version. They also have a cafe in the museum called "Milk and Honey". I love the names with the great Biblical connections. read more

This is the one inside the museum of the Bible. So the line can be long, so have lunch earlier or bit later..I think earlier is prolly good. I have no idea why some post bad reviews out food was fabulous. We ordered appetizer that was meant to be shareable 2-4, and was about $16 and was perfect for lunch for 2. It's a museum restaurant with a cafeteria vibe. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about. I'm happy there was food available in the museum. We got the chicken tenders with fries, which was good for what it was. Everyrhing was fresh, and the chicken wasn't over breaded. We also got the barley bowl, which should have been called an arugula bowl because there was probably a table spoon of barley! I also got it with the crispy chicken, which was a chicken tender. Wow the food here is one of the best my family had in DC. Despite the low ratings that were from years ago, the menu is completely different now and my family ordered the cheeseburger, spanakopita flatbread, pita and hummus, chicken tenders. The menu is not large, but it does offer a variety of different items, including vegetarian options. You can order food from an electronic kiosk, and grab a number and the food is brought to your table OR you can order at a register. I opted for a chicken gyro, and it was really pretty good. The only downside is no tzatziki sauce! However, it was really quite a meal, a bit larger than I'd usually have for lunch. The staff were pretty nice, and even though it was getting busy, it didn't take too long for the food to come out of the kitchen. So, if you're at the museum, check the menu there, and give it a try. 6th floor of Bible Museum. So you aren't just walking in off the street. But if you are already in the museum, it is actually a pretty good restaurant for being in a museum with a captive audience. We hit them at a busy time. There was some confusion with people standing at a order kiosk and. Or realizing they could also go to the counter. But we quickly saw the issue and circled around and ordered quickly. The pizza my son was good. At least for what you would expect from a museum restaurant. He said it was better than Tombstone. I had the salmon chowder (special). It was quite good. We also split some of their fries on appetizer menu. They were decent quality and enough for both of us. Like most places in DC. The prices seem a little higher than they should be. Our meal with drinks was over $40. Felt like it should have been more like $30-$35. But e wet thing is higher these days. read more

Made the elevator trek to the 6th floor during our visit to the Bible Museum. We were looking forward to some authentic Mediterranean food sampling with our three teenage boys, but we were met by a menu of American fare. I am guessing that this is due to COVID, but we ended up with a table of hamburgers, fries, turkey clubs, beet salad, and chicken nuggets. Place the order on the online app, pay, and food is delivered. The food was fine. Exactly what a hamburger, chicken nuggets, or a beet salad should be. The prices were not...$13 turkey club, $13 for nuggets and fries, and $17 for a hamburger and fries. Total bill was $78 for 5. Indoor dining was fine, and speed of delivery was fine. Outdoor seating was probably less impressive than if we had visited in summer. read more

A brief review...ended up at Manna on a field trip with a heap of kids The chicken and waffles with spicy syrup was the best food I had during our 4 day marathon in DC. Several kids also had the chicken and waffles. All equally impressed. Here's why I didn't give it a 5. There was some confusion whether they ran out of waffles. I was told I could order it because they were out. Before my food came I asked if I could have some of the spicy syrup since they were out of waffles. I was told they had waffles and had never ran out. A few students were also told they were out and had to order something else. Manna is in the Museum of the Bible. It's a cafeteria style restaurant that purports to serve recipes from Bible times, Middle East. It has kosher food and vegetarian/vegan entrees. You order at the cashier's first and then they will bring you your food. We ordered the black bean chili, hummus, and pastrami on rye sandwich. All options were very good but I have to say that the pita was outstanding. It wasn't just your run of the mill thin, chewy pita, but a fried, thick, flavorful bread that you could scoop up the hummus. Everything was very flavorful. Service was slow, a couple across from us waited at least 1/2 hour and had to go to the counter to find out what had happened to their order. Not amazing, but an adequate restaurant where you can eat a healthy meal and wonder what Bible characters might have eaten. read more

Located inside the Museum of the Bible on the 6th floor. We arrived right when it opened and had no problem finding a seat. After 30 mins or so, a line started forming and it only got longer as time went by. If you don't want to wait for a table, I recommend arriving close to opening time or after the lunch rush. Employees are all super friendly and helpful. The manager was so sweet and asked us if we were enjoying our meal. They offer mediterranean cuisine, which includes fresh seasonal vegetables, rotisserie lamb, fish, stews, grain bowls, etc. You will leave feeling great and full. Your wallet on the other hand, may hurt a little. This is a museum eatery so it is to be expected. The flavors were a bit toned down in the dishes we tried. I appreciate all the fresh vegetables used and the consistency of the stews. Flavor wise, it was a little underwhelming. My favorite part was the homemade beverages, very refreshing and jam packed with flavor. A good option to have while visiting the museum. read more

I was a little hesitant to dine here after seeing the prices. Usually museum food is bad quality. But we were hungry and decided just to go for it. Much to my surprise, I was pleasantly pleased. Our burgers were good quality and on brioche buns. They came with a good amount of steak fries and what I believe were homemade pickle chips. Halfway through my meal I determined that my mom and I could have split a meal. I have two helpful tips if you choose to take them. One, scan the board out front to do the mobil order and skip the long ordering line. Two, if it's nice weather, go out to the garden and enjoy the fresh air as you enjoy your lunch. read more

We were so focused on cramming as much museum experiences as we could that we never considered leaving. Manna is a nicely decorated restaurant with an outdoor lounge area. You are your own server. The greeter will hand you a menu with (mostly overpriced) options. Once you make your choices, you enter the line and pay before you sit down. We arrived before 12noon and didn't have a line. When we left 30 min later, the line was out the door. The food items are made with top notch ingredients. Full meals cost approx $15-17. If you add dessert and a drink, you'll spend $25 per person. The squash soup was delicious. The grits were hearty, slightly dry and wonderful. The pita bread was too hard. The hummus was tasty. I was afraid I would crack a tooth on the pita. The portion was small. WWJD? He'd probably have loaves & fishes. The menu has interesting full meals. They are more practical than just getting sides. The museum allows you to bring bottled water and small snacks. Manna doesn't offer complimentary water, so fill your bottle before you enter the restaurant. If this is the one inside the Bible museum it's not worth it. After an hour we took out pagers up to the counter and they told us they didn't work. The ambiance of this restaurant was thoughtfully curated. Makes you feel like you are really in a Mediterranean place with a beautiful view of the Biblical garden. We started with The Creamy Mediterranean Clam chowder which was so rich in flavor and you can definitely taste the different spices in it. I enjoyed the Fire-roasted eggplant baba ganoush with the pita very tasty and a little bit crunchy which was perfect for dipping. My husband tried the Taste of Canaan which had pleasant distinct flavors from the risotto and the mixed vegetables that came with it. We also tried the Artisan crafted beverage pineapple mango which was so refreshing and delicious. My husband, mom, and I ate here when we visited the Museum of the Bible. We were fortunate to get in just before a rush (around 11:45). The food was served hot and fresh. I had the salmon burger, my husband had one of the traditional dishes, and my mom had a burger. Considering Museum food is hit or miss, this one was definitely a hit. Manna is on the 6th floor of the Museum of the Bible. Many of the museums have cafes or snack bars but this is a fast casual sit down restaurant with an outdoor garden and private dining area. Not at all what you'd expect above a museum. The views once you reach the 6th floor are incredible as well. As you finally reach the restaurant, you walk in and immediately stand in line and wait to order from one of the two cashiers. While in line, you can take a look at the menu which is comprised of seasonal Mediterranean cuisine, like falafel, hummus, flatbread, and housemade pita and salads. Once you order you pick a table in the dining area or simply stay close to kitchen and await your name to be called. For lunch I decided on the Revelations plate with saffron rice, Moroccan spices roasted chicken, chickpeas, pickles vegetables, and olive tapenade. We also ordered hummus for the table which comes with crisp pita chips. The dish was wonderful. Great textures, flavorful seasoning, and tender roasted chicken. The hummus was perfectly smooth and simple, as I believe a hummus should be. The pita came to us both soft, to eat with our meal, and crisp for the hummus. Both of which were very good and I liked the differences in textures. Overall, the experience and food was wonderful. There's a thoughtful behind the concept and you can tell that the chef is very passionate about the food and restaurant. The only downside is the wait time of the line and the fact that there are no food runners so the front gets quite crowded. Aside from that I'd highly reccomend Manna! read more
