    Boring wrap
    Brad W.

Nothing more than cafeteria food, but with upscale like desserts. We had the chicken ceasar salad wrap which was boring. No croutons and mayo, not ceasar dressing. The cake we picked was vanilla and chocolate, but wasn't good either.

Go for the Senate Bean soup. It's worth it. One of the best recipes in history and it's yours for less than $10! Was not impressed by Mac and cheese or dessert Capitol, but the dessert was fun!

Food is mid and very expensive. the service is ok but it is a "do it yourself" kind of place. The over all experience is ok but not the favorite

Stuffed quail and veggies: special of the month

I would be remiss if I didn't write about one of my more peculiar but fun dining experiences from 2024 which was eating at the visitor center for the us capitol building. I know thar that sounds really funny but we were in a pinch before our tour of the Capitol (free to set up) and this place was a perfect spot to grab some grub. How often do you get to eat with visitors from around the country or even the world and congregational staffers and interns in one location. The place is clean and well lit and service is fast and efficient. Pick what you want and go. For me, the big winner on value and taste was the special dish they served which I think is served at previous house innagurations? This time it was a stuffed quail with wild rice and veggies for like 17 bucks and it was solid and tasty too. This dish probably costs more at a restaurant so ima add this as a federal tax refund of sorts, but I digress. Five stars for coming in clutch. Is it something I would drop my plans in DC to go visit? No. But is it worth checking out and for grabbing a meal if you are touring the capitol and around the area? Yes indeed

mac and cheese = mac and oil. chicken tenders taste like fish. if i could make it 0 i would! 28 dollars for slop

The Congress and the Capitol Architect created the best food experience on the mall. Fresh food, many options available, reasonably priced. When compared to the Smithsonian food offerings ... The Smithsonian should come see how to feed people.

    Bbq sandwich & macaroni

Better than expected and staff very friendly. Not to mention a clean orderly operation. They are family friendly. They are located behind the ticketing are on the first level which is really the basement. My visit was over the Summer and it was very busy. The set up is cafeteria style and they have a lot of variety including dessert. Drinks are bottled and fountain. Checkout was smooth in a central area. Restrooms are nearby. I had a roast beef sandwich that was just ok, but a ton of meat. My wife had bbq and macaroni and it was reported as great! I tried and agreed. Yelp has them under category fast food which is not the correct description. Cafeteria is best fit. Prices are fair which seems like a theme in most of the DC museums. 3.5 rounding down with my sandwich being weak. Recommend not skipping in you are hungry and already there.

Excellent food! Our granddaughters said it was the best macaroni and cheese ever. The white chocolate capitol desserts were adorable.

This café has just about anything you would want from salads to sushi to pizza to hamburgers. The pizza caught my eye and we were in a hurry so I thought I would give it a try. There were about four different types of pizza to choose from and I chose the veggie pizza maintaining my healthy eating outlook. Unfortunately, the pizza was not that good. There were plenty of vegetables, but the variety was quite limited. There were only three different types of vegetables on it, one of them being onions, which I don't like. There was a lot of cheese and the pizza was on the soggy side. The crust was average.

Once inside the maze that is House, you really don't want to have to go out of the building unless you have to. They do have a lot to offer from breakfast (hot breakfast bar, hot cereal, omelet station, yogurt bar) to bakery and there are other spots to go. Deli station, salads, pizza and soup. Not to mention convenient items such as drinks and snacks. I only needed a drink whereas others in my groups wanted a little something else. I opted for the self checkout, it took a minute to figure out their system, but I was able to get it going and was paid in full. The one thing this place has, as an extension, is a Starbucks. It sits outside of the cafeteria section and you can order ahead and pick up.

Unique Native American‑Inspired Dishes With Pleasant Views and Friendly Service…read more We arrived at the end of lunchtime, so we knew that some of the items may not be as "fresh" as they would have been around noon. The Café offers an interesting take on Native American cuisine. Everything we tried was prepared well, and the portions were substantial enough that splitting the Fry Bread Taco and a dessert would have been more than sufficient. The seating area provides a relaxing view of the outdoor water feature, adding to the overall experience. While the café can become loud when full, the atmosphere remains comfortable and enjoyable. Pros: * Menu - Creative menu featuring Native American‑inspired dishes with consistent quality * Food - Portions are generous, offering strong value for the price * Staff - Friendly and efficient service throughout the visit * Dining Area - Seating area overlooks an attractive outdoor water feature * What we had - Fry Bread Taco and dessert options are both filling and well‑prepared Cons: * Noise levels increase noticeably during peak times, though still manageable A distinctive and enjoyable dining option within the museum, offering flavorful dishes, generous portions, and a pleasant setting. A solid 4‑star experience.

I was staying nearby and this place came up as one of the best places to eat. A Cafe? At a Museum?…read more But the reviews of this fry bread taco were out of this world. Fitting, since it's right next to the Air and Space museum, I decided to hit the National Museum of the American Indian and partake. Skip all of the food trucks lined up along the road, and go inside and sit down and enjoy. It's one of the few times I dined anywhere and knew exactly what I was going to get. It was set up like a mini food court with different stations which had different dishes. I ponied up to the one with the taco and the woman put together an amazing looking "taco". It's like no other taco I've ever had. This thing weighed a lot, and that made the $18+ price tag worth it. It was delicious and definitely knife and fork material. It was a hodge-podge of meat, beans, pickled veggies, and sauces and it was delicious. There was plenty of seating when I was there and some cool views of a water feature outside. And since you're here, go visit the museum too. It's pretty cool!
