I love their cows! Amazing, incredible, outrageously good ice cream and chocolate milk (would highly highly recommend hand packed quarts of ice cream over the already-pumped half gallons)

    AMAZINGGGG!!! YUMMMM

One of the top stops for ice cream... fresh from the source! I wish I could tell you how many flavors you have to choose from... but all I can say is that it's a lot! I'm a huge fan of the cotton candy! Our nephew loves to stop by the lovely (cow) ladies on the way out to thank them for the ice cream. Anytime we are in the area we make sure to save time to get some Mannings. It is a cash only establishment, and well worth the drive into the country!

My husband loved the banana ice cream!

Excellent ice cream and frozen yogurt! Great service ! Beautiful location ! Great for everyone!

Fun spot for locally made ice cream from local dairy! We were in town visiting friends and were especially looking for a Pennsylvania regional flavor "teaberry" which is a pink mint flavor. We called ahead to ask if they had it, happily it was available for scoops or take out! This is a family favorite going back generations! We went for a walk at nearby Nay Aug Park and had earned a cool scoop of ice cream on a hot summer afternoon! The inside was spacious and so many flavors, rectangular gallon containers of so many varieties the length of the store! We got three flavors - teaberry, barnyard gravy, and mocha, all delicious! Lots of cone types too - sugar, cake, waffle, pretzel, and dipped cones, we had one person try the waffle cone, tasty! They had an interesting series of photos and articles along the wall describing how they raise and feed the cows, perfecting the milk production, and how they prepare the ice cream. There was a news article from 2020 local newspaper with background on the family too. Lots to read while enjoying our cones. They had so many flavors! Around 45-50 flavors? My only quibble is that they didn't have any low carb or low sugar flavors. I got a small cone, but would have gotten more if there were sugar alternatives like eurithritol or monk fruit sweeteners. Folks were happy with their flavors, would recommend at trip!

We came here for part of the 2019 Eastern PA ice cream trail. Terrific ice cream: I had "Lafayette" with coconut, berries and pound cake chunks in vanilla while my kid had butterbeer (vanilla/butterscotch swirl). Both were delicious. Staff were super friendly and quick to offer samples. The surrounding area is gorgeous, although the seating area is not the most glamorous--I'll confess that I prefer indoor seating, especially when it's hot. Seating area here is outside and combines fresh cow scent with the port-o-potties that are near the benches. But hey, hike back to your car and enjoy your ice cream or take it to go! Definitely worth a stop.

Chances are, if you grew up in, or even visited NEPA (Northeastern PA), you've tasted Manning's. They're THE go to for cool creamy treats in the area. This particular location is next to the actual factories that supply all of the Manning's in the region which makes a trip here that much cooler. While I personally can't get behind it, I can appreciate the small town pride and history behind the business. They offer DOZENS of flavors. One for every tasty bud and mood with quirky names such a Snoopy, Charlie Brown and Barnyard Gravy. They varieties range from old time classics to uber creative ones. Hubs favorite over the years has always been their cookie dough which is PACKED with dough, more than I've ever seen. This location has picnic tables out front and is cash only. The fam went with a kid's scoop which was the perfect amount for the Little's or calorie watchers. Prices are very reasonable.

    So delish!

I understand it's a farm, but I've been to similar places, that didn't smell like cow. But the ice cream tastes great!

When I try to explain to friends from outside the area what kind of place NEPA is, Mannings is by far one of the best "pros" to explain to them.

What can I say other than I absolutely love that specific time of the year! I sometimes reminisce before moving forward and posting a few additional holiday-oriented reviews is on my to-do list before moving full steam ahead into 2019. It is imperative that Sweetly Spolied Treats is highlighted..This company definitely satisfied me + my family's sweet tooth with fantastic tasting cupakes during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. It all started in October 2018 as Sweetly Spoiled Treats Owner/Baker Asia Grant-Williams had a section displaying some of her desserts at the "Damn Gina"! Day Party/Pop-Up Event at Taj Lounge in Manhattan. I purchased a Strawberry Cupcake and a "90's themed" Sugar Cookie. From the moment I took a bite of that Strawberry Cupcake my life has never been the same....let's just say that I became hooked.for lack of a better word-lol. Once sending an email raving about the cupake it was not much later that I ordered a dozen Strawberry Cupcakes ($36 - $3 per cupcake) as part of our Thanksgiving dessert. Asia puts "love" into her desserts and these cupcakes had strawberry fruit inside and on top of the cupcakes. My family enjoyed them so much that one minute they were there and the next day they were all gone-lol. My brother requested more cupcakes which led me to placing a Christmas order for two dozen cupcakes ($ 72). One dozen Strawberry Cupcakes and One dozen Assorted Cupcakes that included Caramel, Red Velvet, Vanilla and Chocolate Cupcakes... Asia decorated/adorned then with supercute holiday themed shaped toothpicks and packaged them in neat clear cupcake boxes. My favorite are the Strawberry and Caramel. Asia creates rich, moist, fluffy cupcakes that have delectable frosting and are scrumptious! The ordering process was easy as I simply emailed Owner Asia Williams and she then sent online invoices so that I could make payment via credit card. She also delivered the cupcakes to my home which was much appreciated. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I have already started thinking about ordering some cupcakes for my loved ones.... Please check out Sweetly Spolied Treats webite aa well as the company's Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to get more information and see some of beautifully made cakes, cupcakes, etc. You will also see pictures of various flavored desserts such as Key Lime Pie Cupcakes, Samoa "Girl Scout Cookie" Cupcakes, etc. Desserts can be created for any and all special occasions. Sweetly Spolied Treats serves NY, NJ and the Pennsylvania area.

One orders at the counter, however, the dishes are brought to the table. The cashier was also the server, but I thought perhaps she was also the co-owner. [I didn't ask her for the story, but when I asked about the Vivian Gray Lotus and Rose soap in the bathroom, she said she had bought like a case of the German soap when she saw it on sale. (I'm super jealous because the soap is absolutely divine smelling - and rose is one of my favorite scents.)] Hubby started out with the French onion soup. He was in love. The good thing was I didn't taste any alcohol in it (which is good because not only are we teetotalers, but we can't cook with alcohol, either), but I thought the broth was fairly one dimensional, not too far above just bouillon. The onions were not sufficiently caramelized, either, in my opinion. (I make good French onion soup - and so I expect a chef's version of it to be better than mine.) Hubby liked that the cheese was wrapped around the piece of baguette floating on top. He then had the [Norwegian?] salmon on a bagel, which had quite a few capers on top. Again, he was in love - salmon, bagel, cream cheese, what's not to? I, too, thought it was a wonderful dish. I had ratatouille, which contained kalamatas. I've never heard of olives in ratatouille, but it was quite delicious as well, albeit a bit oily. The presentation was very nice as well. The eggplant was so tender it was almost melted, and the tomatoes, onions, etc. were nicely seasoned and was very enjoyable. I used baguette pieces to eat most of the dish up with. The dish is piping hot and, as the server warned, there may or may not be pits in the olives (there were none in mine), so beware! There is no tap water served and, according to a local, this is a good thing since, again according to her, Honesdale has the US's 4th worst tapwater in the nation. So we chose San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa (hubby) and a nice Sarasota sparkling (which may or may not be bottled right there in Pennsylvania). For dessert (to go; we were too full!), hubby got a delightful almond cake of some sort; I did not have the presence of mind to snap a photo of it before he devoured it (after we got home). He was generous, however, and gave me a bite - and it was so delightful and creamy and almondy. A few days later, I finally ate the cranberry muffin - and absolute perfection. Moist, wonderful, fresh cranberries. And despite the fresh cranberries, especially those on top, not one bitter one to be found. What's wonderful, too, are the prices. So, so, so, and did I say so reasonable?!?!? A delightful, charming place and, God willing, we will be able to go more frequently.
