They do good work, but are really slow, and not honest on where they are with the work. Every time I call to check in on the Work, its another excuse and asking for more time. I have been going to Manny's for over 25 years . Up until 5 years ago or so , it was primarily Manny that was running things , and I always found him to be very knowledgeable , he always took the time to explain things , and he was a very likeable guy , who I trusted to be a very honest and fair person to do business with . In all the years going there , I never felt like he was doing work that did not need to be done , or doing anything other than treating me fairly . His son Chris , now is in charge of the place , and he is the same way . Just a good guy , who knows his stuff , treats his customers fairly , and always seems to find the time to fit me in no matter how busy he is . The apple did not fall too far from the tree , I would highly recommend Chris/Manny's to anyone that needs car repairs . They are great to do business with in my opinion . read more

In truth, it's just the sons these days Manny is retired. Manny was an exceptional mechanic did fantastic work. His sons however are not and do not. My story. I was driving a VW Jetta about a year ago, took it to work one day when it was having an issue, it would stall for no apparent reason. One day at work, it just wouldnt start. I had to have it towed back to Attleboro, I brought it to Mannys because he is the closest auto mechanic in my neighborhood. I explained the problem, what i experienced and what i thought the problem might be with Christopher Bothelo. Then i waited for the car to be fixed. I waited a total of 8 (eight) business days in total, Chris could only tell me that they were having tremendous problems trying to diagnose the issue. So I chose to bring the Jetta to the VW dealership. Within 18 hours at the dealership, the issue was fixed. It was a broken wire behind the dashboard. That was all. Cost me just $150 for the repair. I wonder what had Manny's sons so stumped, or if they were even working on my car at all. I will not go to Mannys again for anything ever. Replace her radiator and a spark plug for 700.00 then tell her engine is no good failed inspection.She will not speak up for herself and I think you guys suck. I have to say that since Manny retired and his son took over things have really changed for the worse. Manny used to be a bit pricey, but well worth the service. He could Identify hard to find issues and get them resolved quickly and properly. It was a no brainer, Manny was the guy I always took my hard to find issue to and he never let me down once. unfortunately for his son, sad to say the legacy did not continue on. I feel like he should change the name to stop ruining Manny's legacy. Recently my car died, it would not start but the engine would turn. I took my car in for service and 6 days later they still had no answers or even a direction on what the issue was. I made a decision to have the car towed to the dealer to see if they could figure it out. While I was waiting in the lot over at Mannys showing my brother the issue, Mannys son drove out of the gate, right past us, he then slowed down and stopped, backed up and rolled down his window. I was expecting a greeting of some sort perhaps an apology on not being able to diagnose the issue, but instead I was shouted at "You guys can't work on that here!! I see wrenches in your pocket" Well the wrenches were actually screwdrivers, but that's besides the point. The dealer had the issue diagnosed and fixed in less than 1 hour. I remember when Manny had a tow truck, a flatbed actually and he would tow cars as a courtesy, well apparently Manny jr. learned nothing from his father and is now just Pricey. I've been going to Manny's for 7 years. The greatest thing about them is that they are great at diagnosis and take the time to pinpoint the real problem instead of just replacing whole systems that cost you more money. It's refreshing to go to a repair shop that you can really trust. I first realized how reasonable and trustworthy they were when I found other places quoting much higher prices and then was able to get the repair done at Manny's for a half to two thirds the cost. I usually get my annual inspections done here, and yes, they are thorough. But I want my car to be road safe and find it is better to get the little things taken care of earlier rather than later. Manny's is great and he and his son's are very well trained and up to date on the latest requirements. read more

They always do great work, are trustworthy, will make you aware of any rebates available on materials, and offer solutions that don't break the bank. They are courteous and friendly to boot. I have been a long time customer of Manny's and always would highly recommend them BUT NOT this time.My 19 year old son took his car there to get it inspected and they told him he needed about $300.00 worth in work done (2000 monti carlo so older car) when they were done they socked him with a bill just over $700.00 and passed it with inspection but said the car would over heat.the next day the check engine light came on and the car was overheating and he was in mansfield near his dad's garage so he went there.come to find out everything under the car is rusted and gaskets are blown and the engine was about to blow.You can't tell me that Manny's didn't know that along with other problems but yet they didn't have the decency to call and let us know instead they saw a young kid and suckered him out over $700.00.Thanks for nothing but I think I may now be looking for a new garage after many years with them.That is just wrong and greedy. read more

I have used Manny's for years. I never cease to be amazed at the quality of repairs at affordable prices. Work is always thorough, and completed promptly. I recently had to send 4 vehicles in for repair, coincidentally during the same time period. All are much older, very high mileage vehicles. Repairs included transmission fix, electrical harness replacement, fuel tank sending unit replacement, fuel tank sensor replacement, tire rotations (2), oil changes (3), repair of flat tire and wheel alignment. The total bill came to less that $1200 for FOUR vehicles, and the repairs were done completely and on time! read more

Don't get your car inspected here....they take forever and go through every single thing. Then they will fail you for stupid things. If you have to do an emissions test, they even put it on the dyno. read more

Seems like an honest dude (told me I didn't need to get work done when I thought I might), and got my car out pretty quick. Not the cheapest, but not expensive by any means either (way cheaper than the dealership for sure!).
