Super easy to work with. I wasn't sure about just mailing my first off to a random site but I was very pleased with the service and would recommend this to others. Simply took a picture of the fur, texted it to Mano Swartz, and received a quote back the same day. They sent me a shipping label and I dropped the package off at Walgreens. They promptly texted me within 24 hours of the package arriving confirming they received it and it was in good condition. I opted to be paid immediately online but it seems they also mail checks if you'd prefer. read more

I went with my sister to store her fur and wrap away for the season. The staff is very nice. There was a young lady standing at the entrance to greet us as we entered. There was a guy (security maybe) standing around watching the parking lot and watching customers as they entered and exited the store. There was another young lady in making sure every was ok and assisting folks if they wanted to try on any of the merchandise. The young lady who assisted my sister gave us both a really cute fur heart keychain. I tried on a fur. It was very nice. The prices of the sale item were excellent. This was not a auto reply message! He gave instructions on how to send the coat to them to inspect, and included a UPS label with one day shipping. Heard back a day later with their offer for my coat. We did negotiate a little. In the end I agreed to their price and Richard was sending a check out to me that day. I purchased a men's fox jacket because I was told it is unisex, but definitely looked too masculine on me once I got it home. I dragged five other family members with me to the sale and we all purchased coats. They are happy with their purchases, however I got no sympathy for dragging my siblings and daughter with me. Mano Swartz was not willing to do anything about me being unhappy about my purchase it was my problem and they were not willing to work with me about this purchase because all sales are final. Between the six of us we gave him $10,000.00 worth of business. Well they do advertise buying new and used furs. Just my luck they were not interested in buying the jacket back, at no price. I was told they were not interested in purchasing that jacket. Too bad so sad. I purchased the jacket for $1288. When I went on line to another fur carrier to see if I could sell it else where, they offered me 50.00. What an insult after having the jacket for a month and it's never been worn. There's another furrier in town this week and I am praying I will get a good trade in. I did notice some of Mano Swartz furs were stiff. I found that deceiving because furs are not suppose to feel hard or stiff. That means the skin is dry and the fur will shed. We all know a shedding fur cannot be saved. Also when my daughter got home there was rodent poop in one of the pockets and the coat was ripped. My only advice is to do your homework before shopping with them. read more

This was 5 or 6 years ago, I looked around, then went to retail fur establishments in a couple of the local malls during their sales, and there was no comparison - Mano Swartz Furs had them beat - both in pricing and quality of merchandise. Another advantage in working with a furrier such as Mano Swartz is the customization possible. I am currently having an old heavy mink coat reconfigured to meet what I want now at this time in my life. I was able to go to their offices and speak one on one with them to discuss what I wanted. A personal bonus to me is that It is another way to recycle and not waste a fur that time had passed by. Expensive compared to others in the area ie Demetrios Furs in Timonium. Purchased a fur from Ruth's Closet and was informed that monogram would be free...that was definitely NOT the case and Richard was not accomodating nor sympathetic at all. Needlesss to say I wanted to make my mother happy but it would have been alot cheaper to have it monogrammed at furs by Demetrios and storage is almost half of what Mano Swartz charges! All in all, we have purchased many furs from Demetrios, Canada, and several fur stores in New York and New Jersey...(in fact Marc Kaufman has some nice pieces if you are in the New York area)..some which are no longer in business...definitely shop around you can find better prices...tried to sell me a honey chinchilla jacket for TWICE the price ($5000 more) of another furrier...moral of the story..SHOP AROUND read more

I'm not sure where to begin other than this store does not only deliver but focuses on and truly understands their clients. I first found Mano Swartz when my dog took a dislike to a fur pillow I had. They fixed it brilliantly. Because of that experience, I turned to them to create an heirloom. My sister was turning 50 and for the past decade since inheriting my mothers mink that she knew she would never wear, she talked about having a blanket made from the coat. I sent it to Mano Swartz after speaking with Richard who totally understood what I wanted. They not only produced the most amazing "throw", but took the time and effort to design an elegant and understated edging that I didn't even notice at first. But it makes the piece truly unique and stunning. They even took the time and care to incorporate my mothers monogram and tag that was inside the coat on the backing of the throw. Seriously? I cannot tell you just how much that will mean to my sister. If only it could be mine! Communications was amazing...and I can tell you that I have my mother in laws mink hanging in my closet which will very shortly become another heirloom thanks to Mano Swartz. My friend & I came in today & we were very giddy & trying on everything in the store- never did the owner or any of the employees seem annoyed by us, in fact they encouraged us. I had tried several places to sell or consign mu full length mink coat and Mano Swartz was by tfR the best! I shipped my fur, they got back to right away that they would consign my fur. I signed a contract and once my fur sold ( which too a while but worth it) they sent me a check. They split 50-50 and do not have " other" charges tacked on.
