The perfect gas station pit stop filled with a pleasant surprise: all the delicious Cuban pastries and grab and go favorites. From guava and cheese pastries, to tostadas and empanadas, they have all the delicious things for a quick stop - even fresh juices. The colada was on point and gave us the pick me upper we needed! This place is located inside of the gas station, next to the Wells Fargo right in the Miromar Outlets plaza. It's more of a grab and go type of place but they also have a few seats and tables inside of the gas station. Highly recommend! read more

After reading the reviews, I stopped in for a quick lunch while on the road from the airport to my vacation rental. It is very close to I75. My Cuban sandwich, mango batido and Cuban coffee were excellent. The sandwich was huge, fresh and tasty, and I took half of it home for dinner together with a delicious empanada and guava cheese freshly baked pastelito. I loved the convenience store/gas station location. They also had a few tables to eat inside, so it is not just take-out. The food is excellent, the restaurant is clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The prices were very fair too. I recommend it highly! read more

Such a nice surprise to find yummy Cuban food at a random gas station served by a very nice woman. My husband has several of the fried treats and said they were very tasty. I was in the mood for an egg, ham and cheese sandwich on toasted Cuban bread and it was perfect. She said they get their Cuban bread fresh every day and it tasted so good. I love running across those inconspicuous, hole-in-the-wall spots. My husband was craving Cuban coffee and happened to find this quaint bakery located inside of a gas station right by Miromar Outlets. When coffee is $7 for a latte these days, this place was so refreshing. We bought two pastries and a cappuccino for under $7! We LOVED the guava cream cheese pastry. It will be my guilty pleasure from here on out. They do have two tables and some barstools along the window but it's such a small place so the seating is limited. Check it out!! read more

Not my favorite - I tried a spinach empanada and a Cuban sandwich. The empanada was tasty, though it needed salt. I didn't care for the sandwich. The ham was pretty bland, and there was too much of it compared to the roast pork. The Swiss cheese lacked flavor as well. The sandwich could have used more mustard, but since they charged extra for it, I did without. read more

By accident, I found Manolo's Café and Bakery in the Miromar Outlets in Estero. It is located inside a Shell Gas Station convenient store. It has two tables and 8 countertop chairs. However, they do a fair amount of takeout orders. But don't let the gas station fool you! Their coffee, pastries and sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Today, heavy rain hits Southwest Florida during lunch hour. I decided to have a Cuban Sandwich with a large Café Con Leche to wait out the heavy downpour! The friendly lady behind the counter take my order and it was ready shortly. Meanwhile, a second lady was preparing 3 other takeout orders simultaneously! The roasted pork, ham and Swiss cheese with pickle and dressing on Cuban bread was pressed to perfection. The little crusts fall off the Cuban bread and the inside is soft as you bite on the sandwich. The sandwich is huge and can feed two! As I was sipping the Café Con Leche, the pastelitos, croquetas, empanadas and rellena were looking at me with inviting faces! Maybe next time, I can have Guava & Cheese pastelitos! Excellent! This is real cuban food. Hole in the wall kinda place. So so good! We had empanadas with beef & chicken, a quesito, and a media noche sandwich. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD. We also had the best cortadito coffee we've ever had. Great service! Don't be turned off by it being inside of the gas station shop. We nearly did not come in because of it. So glad we did! The food is good- I have had the empanadas and rellenos . I need to add some hot sauce to perk it up. Yes they charge for the hot sauce which is kind of crazy. Some folks write about the service being poor. It is. The lady behind the counter acts like she is doing you a favor by serving you. I have been there a few times and she can make you feel uncomfortable. There is no ambiance in the place. I have not gone back in a few weeks and have no plans to return. read more

As a previous Miamian I am always craving authentic Cuban pastetillos that I can't get in the midwest. We saw this place on Yelp so figured we'd check them out while visiting the FM area. I was craving croquettas and was immensely disappointed when we got there and their equipment was not working and they were unable to make croquettas. We ended up getting a couple empanadas and the guava pastry. The empanadas, specifically the chicken ones, were AMAZING! As was the guava pastry! I can only imagine how good and fulfilling the croquettas would have been. I cannot wait to stop by next time we're in town and hopefully try them! read more

Really small little Cuban shop, located actually in a gas station but they have their own area and entrance door. It's divided away from the rest of the shop. Stopped here for gas and wandered over because it smaller so good! Had to get a Cordito of course, best coffee ever! Excellent!!! Went in to buy a Lotto ticket & use the restroom, which was clean by the way. Hubby got an iced Cuban coffee and a guava & cream cheese empanada. WOW! He was blown away by how good both were -- the drink was a refreshing blend of espresso with just the right amount of milk over ice, and the pastry was warm and decadent. I hadn't intended to order a drink myself but tasted his when we got to the car -- and it was so good I went back in and got my own. For a quick stop and a quick inexpensive bait in this area this is the spot. Everything was fresh, delicious and definitely homemade. I am most concerned of the fact that the unfriendly person at the counter who was handling food and money was not wearing a face mask nor gloves! In times like these this is not acceptable! I brought it to her attention, and she pointed to the plexiglass barrier between us. This barrier is for her to protect herself from the customer's germs. It does not protect the customer from her germs as she is placing the empanadas into the bag for the customers. This health and safety issue needs to be corrected immediately, or this restaurant will no longer have my business! read more

I found this place looking for authentic Cuban food here in Southwest Florida, and I'm glad I took the time to drive and check it out. Ordered the croquette chicken, ham and the different types of empanadas. The croquettes were very tasty. The empanada was a little bit dry but the dog was very good. Also ordered the Cuban sandwich. It was a little bit on the salty side. for the price, it's really well worth it.
