I picked up a dessert, the Monster Cookie Sundae. It is two huge cookies( I picked chocolate chip) with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. I am not a fan of caramel or peanut butter sauce, so asked for these two items to be excluded. I do not know what other cookie flavor choices there are; I just picked chocolate! It was nicely packed up, with the ice cream in a separate container from the warm cookie. Both made it back to my house, the ice cream still solid and the cookie still warm. It is a wonderful treat. Top-notch spot for wings! We stopped in on a Friday just before 6:00 before heading to a comedy show at UB. The location was super convenient. It was a bit busy (30-40 min wait for dining area), but there were a few tables off to the right of the bar where you could seat yourself. Luckily, one opened up right as we walked in. When seated at these tables, you have to order at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the nuggiez -- the sauce cooled the boneless bites down a little, but the flavor was still great. I loved all the sauces we tried (saucy hot cajun, medium, and garlic parm). The wings were perfectly crisp, and the steak pizza had a ton of flavor. Wingnutz has been on my list for a while and I finally had a chance to get out there. My friend and I arrived a little after 5 on a Saturday night and figured they'd be busy. We were told it would be about a 20 minute wait, but then we were offered a high top table and didn't have to wait! Our waiter was good, but we had to wait more than 45 minutes for our food. We ordered the wing flight (12 wings) and mozzarella sticks to share. We asked for the mozz sticks to come out with the wings and not as an appetizer. We waited more than 35 minutes without hearing from our server, then she stopped by to say food would be out soon and it arrived about 5 minutes later. They were certainly busy as it was a Saturday night, but I didn't think we'd have to wait 45 minutes for an order of just 2 items. The presentation was great! However, none of the 12 sauces were stand outs to me...The hot Buffalo was not hot at all in my opinion. The wings were large and crunchy, but nothing I'd return for. Ordered the 10 piece wing, 5 with signature sauce and the other five with the garlic parmesan. The signature sauce wings could've used a tad more sauce because the flat held sauce better than the drum and was slightly more juicy. However, they all still came out hot, tender, and were a good size. The garlic Parmesan wings were not our favorite. They were a bit too oily, the breading was not seasoned enough, and the topping for the garlic Parmesan overpowered the chicken a bit too much making it taste somewhat store-bought. From hamburgers to chicken sandwiches to of course, wings and so on. What caught my eye was the beef on a weck sandwich. It's hard to find a good one of these so I gave this one a shot. I also added a side salad. Having it to go they packaged it up nicely so the food kept separate and nothing got soggy. Good call. A lot of packaging though. The bun is a hamburger bun not a Kaiser roll. The best beef on weck come on a Kaiser type roll, not a hamburger roll. They toast the bun, that's a good thing. They give you a good amount of beef and aju to dip in, and horseradish. Hard pass on the horseradish. Overall, the sandwich was good. What would've made it great would bend having it on the right bun. As for the salad, a lot of fresh vegetables, you get a big portion, which is nice, and they give you plenty of dressing. read more

Wingnutz might be one of the best (if not the best) spots for wings in Buffalo. It is at the top of the pyramid for wings and for good reason. These wings are HUGE, saucy, and still have a great crunch to them. I was in for trivia night on Wing Wednesday and ordered some of their Buffalo Hot and their Signature sauce. Their signature is a mild type of sauce but the flavor is amazing. It is unlike any other mild sauce in Buffalo. Definitely have to get some of these every time I am there just for the taste alone. The Buffalo Hot live up to the name. Covered in sauce, they leave the heat with you more and more after each wing you have. The flavor of the hot is good though, not something you have to suffer through. The service here is incredible. Nicole was our server and she was great! She made sure the wings came out quick from the kitchen and we were happy with the overall service on a VERY busy night. This is a really cool spot too. Classic sports bar vibes with the tvs and all that but every table is comfortable whether it was a booth, normal table or high top. Really great options for everyone here. The wings were quite big! Their signature sauce was spicy and sweet and a nice change. Good Bleu cheese in an interesting cup that seemed designed for dragging chicken wings through. We attended an event here. It was held in the large party room in the back. Besides the event itself, there were 30+ people placing separate orders. The service was fantastic. 5+ for sure. We ordered take out. Ten wings each, Saucy hot Cajun and Buffalo medium. Even with the sauce, you still got the crispiness on the wings. Good flavors without being an overpowering hot. It's has been a while we visited Wingnutz. They have a Happy Hour from 3-5 on weekdays, with 10 wings for $15 on Tuesdays and a $1 off on draft beers. I had a Wayland Case Study, a west coast IPA. We shared 10 wings, 5 with Honey Sriracha BBQ and 5 with Wingnutz signature Sweet and Tangy. The wings were, as always at Wingnutz, big and crispy. Both tastes were really good with the Sweet and Tangy being my favorite. There was a container of blue cheese sauce for dipping the wings. Missing were carrots and/or celery sticks. Our waitress was nice, but she missed asking my wife if she wanted a refill on her water. The wings were great, so we will be back soon, very soon. PS.
