This place makes incredible subs,and the potato salad is so so good. They offer breakfsst sandwiches, muffins, and on Thursday's they have oven baked turkey ,stuffing and gravy with cranberry sauce on the side, on a soft braided roll ,very popular. This is the easiest review I have ever had to write. I ordered the roast beef, swiss cheese, and horseradish sandwich. That came with potato salad as a side and I got a small cup of the homemade turkey soup. I have no idea how I can add to the previous reviews of this place. Everything was completely perfect. I have never had a easier decision about a five star review in my life. The soup tasted like my grandmother made it. The turkey was clearly freshly roasted. The vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. The broth was exactly as you would hope it would be, flavorful and not oversalted. The potato salad was just as good. They didn't give me too much so I would have filled up on it so it was a great complement to my meal. The roast beef sandwich was clearly the star. The roll was crispy and extremely flavorful and the roast beef was roasted in house and cooked to perfection. It came with red onions and a fantastic horseradish sauce with Boars Head swiss cheese. Seriously, I don't think I could've had a better lunch. I would highly recommend this place. The sandwich was reasonable at just a little over seven dollars and the soup was also reasonable for the quality at just a bit over four dollars. The potato salad was included with my order. The Mansfield Deli provides consistently decent sandwiches with quality ingredients. The staff is super friendly and if you call in the order, they sometimes give you a funny nickname. I like their eggplant parm, it is crispy with just enough sauce on a super soft sesame seed roll. It isn't as good as the North End Deli in Plainville, but is priced more reasonably. My kids love their meatball sandwiches and Classic Italian. The coleslaw on the side is good, but the macaroni salad is often overdressed. read more

Great little deli! Excellent sandwiches and salads. Lasagna to bring home and heat up is great. My favorite is the chicken salad, which I routinely buy by the container. For my first review in Yelp history I had to start with Mansfield Variety & Deli or what the regulars call "Mansfield Deli". There is a nice feeling to give a local deli your business but this place returns the favor with excellent sandwiches, prepared food, and pretty much any beverage you would want. It gets really busy around lunch time during the week but most of the time you can walk in and get you're breakfast, lunch, or dinner within 10 minutes. Don't go to Subway when you have a great deli like this close by. The homemade Mac n' Cheese is worth the trip by itself. Can't say enough about this great deli! read more

Got a chicken salad sandwich and it was mostly lettuce with very little chicken salad. The proportion was way off, basically it was really expensive bread and lettuce. I was giving this place a second chance with all the great reviews.
