This place has delicious food! I've gotten the meatloaf sandwich, crispy eggplant, different deli sandwiches as well as calzones and other foods and everything has been excellent. It's always super quick and everyone is always friendly. What really compelled me to weigh this now is an older lady had parked on the street which is busy and someone from the deli actually walked out with her to help her get in her car. Just okay. Got a meatball sub, the meatballs were super greasy and didn't taste fresh, they also didn't toast it....weird. My wife got the pastrami and said it was dry. Also went in there and half the people weren't wearing masks and the guys who seemed to be cooking weren't wearing gloves. There's probably somewhere better to get a sandwich in the area. read more

The kitchen is right out front so you can watch the magical creation of your sandwich as it takes place. They have every type of deli meat you could ask for, turkey, pastrami, roast beef are just a few of the many. Not to mention they are Boars Head brand meat, so fresh that it falls apart in your mouth. I usually go with the Bumble Bee, thinly shaved turkey, freshly fried bacon, creamy Thousand Island dressing, all on a braided roll. That also comes with a pickle and your choice of mac salad, potato salad, or cole slaw. You can get all of this food, and many other choices for the very affordable price of just seven dollars. The employees treat everyone like they are from the same hometown. They give the best service, they are very genuine and eager to take your order. They are also very flexible and will make you whatever you desire, even if it is not on the menu. Even though they get hundreds of costumers a day each costumer is like the first one that walks through the door. I would highly recommend this place to anyone going out for lunch. How hard is it to make a good sandwich you say? Bread & meat, done! No, not really. You need fresh bread, be it a roll or rye, or white, it needs to be fresh and well made. First check for this deli. You also need meat. Real meat, not that stuff that has some weird clear thing in the middle of the slice. We call that jelly roll meat. It isn't real to me, and it isn't here. They use some of the best deli meat going, Boar's Head. Second check for this deli. You will be greeted politely and they will wait politely for you while you read the board to decide what you want. Deciding will take a while, there are a lot of options, from their creations to anything you might come up with. Also, one of you wants something other than a sandwich, well there are plenty of choices there too. Lasagna, a salad, pretty sure they can find something. Your sandwich will come with a side order of potato, cole, or macaroni salad. It may be a pretty small serving, but the sandwich isn't, so really, you don't need that much salad. Plenty of drink choices, including beer, to pick from. Want chips to go with that sandwich, yep, got that. Need desert, yep, got that. No areas to sit down and eat might be the only drawback. Awesome deli. I was looking for a local deli of this type, didn't realize there is one right in my backyard. I was immediately greeted upon entering by the cashier. The location had that deli feel to it. Part store and deli, servicing with sandwiches, chips, desserts, and sodas. They also have homemade chowder, cole slaw, and other different salads. The cashier immediately directed me to the specials which was definitely eye catching. I order the "O'Leary" since my wife's maiden last name was O'Leary. basically it is a Reuben sandwich with real cabbage and cheese. The sandwich was freshly made to order and DELICIOUS! The prices on average from what I seen for sandwiches is around $7-$8, a bit much but worth with a freshly made deli sandwich. I notice they do breakfast sandwich as well, which I am looking forward to trying very soon as well the varies types of salads and other sandwiches. I've had sandwiches from the Mansfield Deli twice now, and they're amazing. The first time I had the big daddy, which I believe was a special, and not an everyday item menu. The second time I had either the bumblebee or honeybee or something like that. I also had a side of macaroni salad which was excellent, the amount of dressing was just right. I also loved the inclusion of the huge house-made pickle with every sandwich too. The deli was the most common destination, and always on thursdays since they had the best Thanksgiving on a roll sammiches I've ever tasted. None of that sliced up deli turkey, real turkey breast just like you'd get at dinner. Damn. I want one now On non thursday meals it was all about the godzilla, or as I liek to refer to it "heart attack on bread" Pastrami (salt), cheese (more salt), and thousand island dressing (even more salt). . but damn if that isn't tasty. (or pig or turkey or....), this is the local lunch hot spot (be prepared for a bit of a line right at lunch time), but they are happy to see you even if you are clearly from out of town. And everyone else is right, the potato salad is excellent, even if you are pretty picky about potato salad. Cole slaw was pretty good (no pineapple!) but could have been a bit crisper. We had the Joe Pesci, the Hot Virginian, and a plain ol' turkey and swiss. THE BEST HOT PASTAMI in town. I have tried virtually every conceivable joint in Mansfield for this wonderful seasoned meat, never having even considered The Deli for pastrami. Always a great choice for breakfast sandwiches, I noticed hot pastrami on their menu one morning. Terrified at the shoe-leather I received elsewhere I vowed I would try the Deli upon my next opportunity. Having just finished my 5th hot pastrami sandwich from this venue, and concluding that their offering enjoys remarkable consistency, I am compelled to share my good fortune. Both sub roll and bulkie roll are both good choices, (although seeded rye would be preferable but alas the Deli fails to offer it)...Should you be the sort to consider adding pickles to your pastrami, you'll be happy to know the Deli uses sliced, not diced... Be aware that they close relatively early, having opened at the crack of dawn, so do plan accordingly lest you be disappointed !! Enjoy. read more

They offer breakfsst sandwiches, muffins, and on Thursday's they have oven baked turkey ,stuffing and gravy with cranberry sauce on the side, on a soft braided roll ,very popular.
