I'm here to say, please don't put your parents our love ones in this place! My mom and stepdad were…read morein there last year for less than two months and they both passed and went to heaven. These people charged so much money and did not take care of my parents in the Memory care unit! Before my parents were in this place, they were at home I was watching my parents. I had my mom getting her up to walk, bathing her eating good food the moment she got into this place they never got her up to walk. They blended her food, and every time I would visit her I noticed something was wrong with her! She had dementia and didn't talk, but I knew in my heart and I can feel her. Something was wrong pictures don't lie.! At the end of her two months, she end up catching Covid. It was her first time having it.!! They kept her isolated for 10 days in a bed, not getting up nothing! They told me I was not allowed to see her. This was during Mother's Day for two weeks.! Finally, she became negative and I was able to see her on May 17, 2023, when I walked in my parents room, I immediately started crying, my stepdad was in a diaper with no pants. Halfway off the bed, my mom was laying there so skinny she wasn't barely moving.!! They both had poop! I put my head on my mom's chest. She was breathing so shallow.! I went out and told the nurse they didn't even know they were like this, my parents, how these people work there, and don't know!????? My mom passed away there May 18, 2023. My stepdad followed her May 31, 2023. They were both again and they're less than two months.!! This place is unacceptable and not worth your money or your families love one life !! If it was my choice, they would've never been in this place EVER! Rest in heaven parents you are loved and always will be in my heart!!

Today we had to take Mom to an appointment, and when we picked her up we saw that her room needed immediate attention, that we couldn't handle because we had to leave n get Mom to her appointment. When I got back, Mom's room was crystal clean, and like new again!!! We set our Dad up here since it was between me and my sister and only took an hour to get there…read morefrom either the central valley or bay area. First it was great, Dad was ambulatory (but cantankerous) and we planted flowers and herbs in the raised garden for him to tend. It went downhill over memorial day weekend in 2017. Dad fell, he was taken to the emergency room, they called both my sister and myself. He was released with no injuries, just really sore. When I saw him that night, he was in a lot of pain. since the hospital had not given him any pain meds, they would not give him anything for the pain. I ran to 7-11 and bought Tylenol which I gave him. When I returned later that night, he had not been given any additional Tylenol and was in even more pain. I gave him more Tylenol and had them check his blood pressure. I went home and called daily to find out how he was doing. I had set up a doctors appointment for him during the week. Brookdale took him to the dr appointment but they did not leave a urine sample. I called them to find out the results of the appointment and was told they would try for another sample and then ship it to the dr's office. He was not walking at this point, only using a wheel chair because his hip hurt. following Saturday, my sister and her family went to visit him, the room was dark and smelled. the floor was sticky by his bed and he was in adult diapers. They did not tell us any of this! My sister called and told me what had occurred and then had him ambulanced to the hospital, again. This time we were told he had a heart attack at some point during the week. oh, and his femur was BROKEN!!! needless to say, when he was released from the hospital, we did not go back to Brookdale. I would caution everyone regarding well care for your parents. how long would they have let him lay in his bed if we did not go over every weekend to check. you need to become 'helicopter' children when your parents go into assisted living. Brookdale Manteca is catering to Mom's whims and needs, real and a smidge more than the gals of today even consider requesting. From dining, to medicine deliver at scheduled times, cleaning and laundry service, Brookdale does it all and with a smile. (I know I have eye rolls secreted with some Mama Drama but I've yet to see anyone here do that, lol) This morning I had to arrive far earlier than regular hours to take Mom to medical specialist. Brookdale was ready for me. Coffee ready, Moms meds for me to give her later, a list of her meds for the hospital, and a smiling assist to unlock Moms door when Mom would not answer/open. Brookdale has been 100% "How may we help you? " Mom doesn't care for the food served...but she is a princess, after all. Nothing is perfect. My uncle fell with injuries and was hospitalized. I only found out this as he called me when he got discharged from hospital. When I spoke to the manager she could care less and was very nonchalant about my complaint. IF you want to be contacted for any emergencies you will have to place them in assisted living. (for more$$$$$$). I was lied to when I placed him here. Re-think this facility!

My father in law was one of the most stubborn men on the planet and very hard to please. We were very nervous about the whole process if he wasn't happy there. To our amazement my father in law was very happy and comfortable there. Cleo and her staff treated him with kindness and they were incredibly attentive to him and his health issues. She also was very good and keeping us informed about any ongoing issues he was having. Unfortunately my father in law was placed on hospice care, but he lived out the last few months of his life happy and comfortable at Cleo's Home.
