This review is long over due but here it is…read more My family didn't paint this house for 15 years. The paint peeled and wood rot all over. It is a big headache just thinking about remodeling. It is not just about money but finding the right contractor who would do quality work and not take our money and run. Cost is also a big concern since our house is huge and very high. I am in charge of finding the super hero to fix this gigantic mess. First, I called about 8 companies via Yelp to come and give me estimates. Some companies said my house is too big and tall so refused to do it. Some companies said it will take 3 months. Some companies wanted to charge me $100,000. Some companies unwilling to fix the rot wood. Some companies needed to rent scaffolds and hydraulic lift since the house is too high. Hydraulic lift is supposed to cost over $2,000. Yikes! I had about 2 weeks to get project done because fire insurance company threatened to cancel our policy if we don't fix up the house. I interviewed about 8 companies and found one perfect company: FD Painting. Why is FD Painting so excellent and won my heart? 1. They have contractor license and I insurance. 2. They were willing to fix all the rot wood. 3. Tino is also friendly and accommodating to different things I pointed out need fixing. 4. Their price is reasonable. The crew showed up to work everyday on time. 5. Their craftsmanship is also excellent. 6. They finished the entire project in 10 days (4 days ahead of schedule)!!! Hooray!!! 7. They didn't need scaffolds or hydraulic lift. 8. I didn't need to watch them while they worked. 9. They cleaned up well after the project. 10. They were honest and trustworthy. Priceless. Mario was very responsive and was willing to tackle all of it with his 4-5 team members. Rodrigo his brother and Foreman was there to ensure that I was made aware of the daily plans. Kevin was the next best assistant foreman if Rodrigo wasn't around. They worked on the house for about 7 days total, M-Sa 8-4pm-ish some days longer as needed. Its naturally messy with the powerwasher as it blasted paint chips all over and into some of the neighbors yard, but they went and cleaned it up once it was brought up. They really did a fantastic job ensuring that my exact requests were met. Pro Tip if you going to remodel your outside, start with the roof and then work your way down. This way I wasn't concerned with the paint chips left all over the yard. They cleaned up what they could, and then I have the landscapers come next. I will let the photos do the rest...
