I get that this genre attracts a unique crowd but the extremely socially awkward staff here just really can turn someone away. On many occasions, I'll see eight employees in the store with perhaps two customers. A few of those workers are practically superglued to the floor behind the counter. Most of the staff seem regularly engaged in conversations which each other. No inquiries to the customer about assistance, no engagement, no product knowledge, just a lot of people collecting paychecks. The owner himself is somewhat tactless with his communication. Seems to constantly want to prove he knows a little bit more about something than the customer, and when it's clear the customer is highly knowledgeable about a subject at hand, he shuts down completely. It's just a completely awkward vibe.

He answered all of my questions that I had and even gave some good recommendations based on what I was looking for. I came on a Sunday night and saw a group of people playing cards which gave a nice community vibe and was a green flag in my book. The interior of this store was well lit, super clean, everything was organized neatly, and prices were super fair. Didn't pull any crazy hits from my packs but that's just the name of the game. Update: After my original review, the situation escalated significantly…read more I was contacted by Paradise Card Breaks and informed that my card was stolen in transit after being shipped back from PSA. According to them, a police report was filed, and I was paid out the insured value for the loss. To be clear, this entire process--from the initial mistake of submitting my express order as bulk, to locating the card and resubmitting it, and ultimately the loss of the card during return shipping--reflects a serious breakdown in handling at multiple stages. While I did receive the insurance payout, that does not replace a unique, high-end card, especially considering everything that led up to this point. This was my first submission with Paradise Card Breaks, and it's hard to overlook how many issues occurred from start to finish once the card left my hands. I was offered additional PSA submissions as a resolution, but given how this process went, that is not something I'm comfortable with. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend using this shop for PSA submissions--particularly for higher-value cards. Customers should be aware of the risks involved. This experience resulted in the permanent loss of my card.
