When I say comfort food, after one bite I was brought back to when I was little and my mom making these for us. I'm looking forward to going back and trying their other offerings. Yesterday, it was for the Nagaoka fireworks display to commemorate the end of World War II. Today, it was for the Biggest Little Airshow. At both events I found 'Nalo Made Lemonade. They offer it in regular, pineapple, mango, strawberry, lilikoi and li hing. They only offer it in a 32 oz. mason jar. It's $7 and $4 for a refill when you bring back the jar. This is a better deal than Wow Wow Lemonade, which is the other lemonade vendor. They charge $10 initially, then $6 for the refill. I also prefer the 'Nalo Made Lemonade. It's not as watered down. It actually has a strong lemon flavor and it's not as tangy. I like the mango flavor and the hubby likes the lilikoi. The mango is just a tad bit sweeter, which is perfect for me. They also have two different stickers for their jars, which I found out today. The clear sticker jar is the girl and the black sticker is the boy.

What a cool couple…read more.. Happen to find this vibrant trailer parked in the Kailua Shell gas station lot and had to show them some love. It seems like they're very new to the biz as they built their trailer from a flatbed with skill and creativity and it doesn't end there as this couple has thought it all thoroughly even from our beloved shaved ice. With lots of flavors to choose from the Cold Brew caught my eye as it sounds like the perfect midday snack and not too sweet as well. It comes with ice cream which sounds just perfectly amazing but declined because it sounds too heavy along with the choice of topping (chocolate, caramel or condensed milk) or all three lol which I got condensed milk. The shave ice is very fine not thick and chunky and she explained that there's a bit of room around the edge of the bowl as it starts to melt it will for a yummy slushy consistency which it does so it does require both spoon and straw to enjoy it thoroughly. The cold brew syrup is house made and is a nice mellow flavor I enjoyed along side the trailer as there are some shaded benches they provide for convenience. They also make smoked meat and baked goods though they can't sell them out of the respect for the shell station mart but do have them at the Lokahi Kailua Market on Sundays.
