Located in the Shell gas station parking lot, this place is delicious and the shaved ice is super flavorful. Would recommend!

They have several flavors to choose from, Tiger's Blood to Ube, sweet yam. They offer the option to add any flavor of ice cream to be an added base to your shaved ice cup or bowl. Affordable shaved ice, that wasn't over 10 bucks. I got the minimum choice of 3 flavors at the least but you can add as many flavors as you desire. I chose Sour Apple, Strawberry, and Ube. The sweet and sour combo of my shaved ice had me feeling like I was enjoying sour patch kids candy. I enjoyed my experience at Island Snow amd can't wait to visit again.

If you're visiting Waimānalo and looking for authentic local food, skip the chains and stop by…read moreKeneke's. This isn't a sit-down restaurant--it's a local walk-up spot where you order at the window, pick up your food, and enjoy it at the outdoor seating area. It's simple, relaxed, and full of local charm. Keneke's has been serving the community for many years, and despite all the changes and new competition, they continue to do what they've always done: serve delicious local food with genuine aloha. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the food is consistently satisfying. Whether you're a local or just visiting the island, it's one of those places that makes you feel welcome. What stands out even more than the food is the people. Every time I've been there, I've been treated with kindness, humility, and genuine aloha. One day I only wanted a small chicken salad that wasn't on the menu, and they happily made one just for me. They even worked with my limited budget instead of turning me away. That's the kind of customer service that stays with you. I've also seen how they support the local community by giving opportunities to people who are struggling or who might have a hard time finding work elsewhere. Businesses with that kind of heart deserve to be recognized. When people ask me where to grab a quick bite in Waimānalo, Keneke's is my recommendation every time. As for Kalapawai, my own experience has been different. I found the portions to be smaller for the price, and because of my personal experiences there, I no longer recommend it. Others may have different experiences, but for me, I'd rather support a longtime local business that has consistently shown kindness, generosity, and the true spirit of aloha. Mahalo to everyone at Keneke's for serving great food, treating people with respect, and keeping the aloha spirit alive. I'll gladly continue recommending you to both locals and visitors.

There is an old skool walk up ordering window that you order through. There is a dining area to the side of the window. It used to be an inclosed open patio and used to have a roof but now its more of an outside dining area half shade half sun. It's cool they have some scripture painted on the wall too. The kitchen is all screened in to prevent flies from coming into the kitchen so you know the food is safe. The food is your typical plate lunch burger fare. (Pic of menu) The portions are fair to huge and are a decent value. The food was good and the staff was cool. The only thing is...and I hope the owner or staff is reading this. I don't know why but there a lot of flies outside maybe from other issues close by I know it didnt effect the safety of the food but Please buy one of those fly bag traps From home depot to reduce flies outside. I think it would go a long way with aesthetics when dining outside!! Good safe food...fair pricing..good portions just control the flies outside.

Love this yummy froyo spot! I always enjoy coming here for spontaneous froyo dates with bae hehe. I…read morereally appreciate that they have quite some options and choices when it comes to flavors. My go to flavors here are Strawberry & Ube (Get it,You won't regret it)!! I got those two ever since my very first visit here and never changed it up since! Plus it was the two flavors that caught my eye. I also think it's amazing that this establishment caters to those who have dietary restrictions (so there's really something for everybody) for example Non diary/diary options! Their topping bar is immaculate ... they have almost everything you'd dream of to add to your froyo , from Sprinkles,Cereal,M&M's,Nutella drizzles, etc etc. My go to toppings (that nobody asked for but I think is THE BEST in my opinion) : Sprinkles,Lychee Jelly,Lychee popping boba,Mango Jelly& Mango popping boba! I occasionally add Passionfruit popping boba from time to time or even fresh strawberries! Also... I recently discovered in this visit that they have condensed milk that you can add on to your froyo ??? It was a perfect addition that made my froyo even more complete! And it will be in my future topping rotations in future visits lol. Oahu only has a few froyo spots unfortunately .. so it's good to have Frost around to hold it down! Prices do vary but it can be pricey at times .. although I feel like that's the case for any froyo spot anyway. But still worth coming to here and there every so often. Staff is pretty average and decent , they are really just there standing around to weigh your bowl and to ring you up. Pro tip: They have happy hour DAILY 8PM-9PM (Closing) , you buy 1 and get the other 50% off!!! Super cool deal and such a steal! If you do come around those hours just make sure you come in on time since the place can get packed for those who are there for the deal!

They definitely have a lot of choices. However, the shaved ice was absolutely atrocious. It's a make-your-own setup with a machine, but the ice melts almost immediately as soon as you pour any flavor on top. Instead of having that soft, fluffy shaved ice texture you expect in Hawaii, it just turned into a watery mess within seconds. For how expensive it was, the quality really did not match the price at all.

So when I am willing to buy more, it means it's really good. Recent months I would order 2 sets of Shoyu Poke Nachos (coz the poke ahi is really fresh!) and I'd request 1 set for the poke ahi and chips to be separated / put on the side ( to save it for the evening without wanton chips turning soggy.) But the aunty hasn't seem to appear too happy nor friendly with me asking for that so I haven't really look forward to buy it too much now when their food truck comes. :( I would see her laughing and being nice to other customers. Makes me nervous now when I buy from her. You know how after a long morning of work, you look forward the whole week, and just wanna enjoy the food you really like? But then as the paying customer, you also feel nervous for making a reasonable request that seems to piss the owner off? Huge Bummer. Maybe it's just me. There's always an uncle working quietly in the background and I truly appreciate him making effort to separate it for me. Maybe they can charge extra for requests like that? I would be willing to pay for it without the extra seeming unhappy attitude. :( Probably the last time I'd get from them. :(
