Lastly, they don't mind cancelling on you last minute but if you cancel on them last min that's not allowed or you lose a class. Literally they called me last week to cancel my class on that same call I asked if I can cancel a makeup class so I would have to wearing an almost an hour in between classes and I was told no I would lose that class. "Hold on you literally just cancelled mine but I can't cancel the makeup?" and " I have to wait around for an almost an hour for the next one?" Complete disregard for your time again as long as they get paid. It doesn't matter. We cancelled our membership immediately and are starting somewhere else next month.

There are a ton of kids coming in and out throughout the day. I've seen staff cleaning. We started sending my daughter two days a week since she started late in life because of covid. I have enough trust in the teachers to drop her off where she needs to go, and I sit in the lobby. All she has done is thrive. It's hard for a teacher to work with kids if they are turning to find their parents all the time. She will be six this month, and she will be in level six.

If it wasn't for the therapy pool and the fact that it's practically across the street from us, we'd cancel our membership. Based on front desk alone. Absolutely awful. Equipment is subpar - they need mirrors in the weight section upstairs as well. WiFi is terrible as well if you plan to listen to anything on your phone while there too. The manager, Brad, has many years experience on the premise and knows how to make it a comfortable experience for most everyone who visits. The board has done a great job of spending limited funds where they are most effective. The end result is just a nice place to spend a couple hours, or more, a couple of days, or more, a week. One of the new additions this year is D'Cappos providing food from the "snack" deck. The everyday provisions are fine and the add ons during the weekend are fantastic!! Jerry brings high end restaurant food to the little shack on the snack deck. Tonight I took Cavatelli with a light white garlic and fresh squash sauce and a delicious Bruchetta home. Can't do that at any other pool I've ever been to. Where did that come from?? The board made another good decision from my point of view. The slides were fun and well-monitored. Lines weren't excessively long. They enjoyed the diving board and chute slide, too, and did plenty of laps in the lazy river. Water temperature was very nice. Seems like the guards, for the most part, were on top of any rowdiness or misbehavior. Snack bar was nice - one of the friendly teens even tracked down my young daughter when she forgot to claim her fifty cents in change. We had a fun time!

It appears the entire staff has changed and with it the warm vibe. The last few weeks my kids have just been swimming back and forth across the lane without much demonstration or apparent guidance from the staff, whether it has been one or two trainers in their lane. The trainers also used to interact warmly with the kids while in the water (or out), now the trainers look bored and interact with the kids minimally and without the same enthusiasm. It is the same facility, but the staff that made it such a wonderful place are gone. My children have always loved their trainers and now have nothing to say about them. I think it is time for us to start looking for a new place for swim lessons.

But they also do a fantastic job at hosting parties. They are a top notch facility and staff. For swim lessons, they offer 25 min classes at no more than a 4:1 student:teacher ratio. The kids progress along at their own pace, leveling-up when they're ready (could be after one week, one month, or longer). No matter what, the environment is kept fun yet challenging. And the instructors are all very welcoming, accommodating, and encouraging to the kids. For parties, they do an absolutely wonderful job. For a total of two hours (~2/3 in water, 1/3 out) they are as engaged as you want/need them to be or not. After getting all kids safely into the water they ran them through some fun games and then let them swim for a good amount of time with full-access to all toys/floats. After drying off, the kids ate (food needs to be brought in) and had cupcakes (provided). All decorations, setup/cleanup, and goodie bags were provided. It really was a delightful experience that was driven home by the fantastic staff. We couldn't be happier with the swim instruction provided and the recent party we had here at Goldfish Swim School.
