My son wanted to go to Round 1 to bowl. I told him I would take him to a bowling alley. I took him to Maple Lanes. It is a nice local lane. Clean and well kept. We bowled two games. It wasn't crowded on the weekdays. We were able to have a relaxed set. After we bowled, he asked to go into the arcade. There aren't many games, but we had fun bonding for sure! The best part is the fact I saw a worker immediately wipe down and clean the area when we left. That is comforting. read more

The sport of bowling still alive and kicking here at Maple Lanes in RVC. Just recently checked in on a Saturday night in the 9 o'clock hour and noted what appeared to be lively league action wrapping up on one side and open more random public on other, and was able to easily snag a lane without an issue. You can pay by the hour or by the game which is nice. They still had an active bar and snack bar available with pretty good options. Bar side pretty standard options, nothing to special as I couldn't snag an Amber beer, but there were other options to still grab at a reasonable price. I picked up my shoes, grabbed a beer, started a game and paused to get some boneless chicken wings and spiral fries which were tasty. Got better with each game round, but definitely rusty. I was thinking too bad not a kid as they had an $8 a wk for 8 wks afterschool learning special. Sounded like a deal to me. ;) Nevertheless this location is right near the Sunrise hwy train tracks and has ample street and metered parking lot spaces. This is one of the best bowling alleys I have been to in Long Island. I went to Maple Lanes RVC and bowled for the first time when I went there on 5-2-2025 which was a few weeks ago. I bowled 3 games and my experience there was a real blessing because I got all 3 strikes during my last game. usually when I get strikes when I bowl I just get it once or twice but, when I improved my skills by getting better during the 3rd game. I was a force to be wrecked with. also, during my second game I took a break by having me lunch and they had the best cheeseburgers and french fries. they was so good better than fast food and food at the diner. the lady that was a cashier who served me was nice being a real sweetheart. the place is clean, beautiful, swell, and laid back. but, most of all cool. I felt like I was home bowling at Maple Lanes RVC by having my own bowling alley by becoming a millionaire. I'm looking forward to come back again real soon and bowl. I wish Yelp would have a rating of 1to 10 starts instead of 1 to 5 stars because I would rate it 10 stars by giving it 10 stars because they got the best vending machines, arcade games, and the best fundraisers there as well better than any other bowling alley I been to. Parties they have three levels of Parties including the Spark party, Where the can customize your lane with a company or school logo or customize the theme to your liking. Directly on your lane. For those serious bowler to understand it is the same type of system that the PBA uses to track the bowling ball going down the lane or project the pattern on the lane. Open play is plentiful on the weekends and evenings there are specials you need to check on there web site for. They have a special deal for some Local college's on Sunday nights. For the serious Bowler there are plenty of leagues for all skill levels I bowl there on Wednesday Mornings. A fun league that even some local professionals bowl in. Practice for the serious bowl they have SPECTO which is the ultimate in training it gives you ball speed, Rev Rate, What board you released the ball on, hit at the arrows at and where your ball hit the breakpoint, speed off your hand mid lane and at the pins. Entry angle of your ball into the pocket and much more. They have a wonderful leagues for Kids of all ages as young as 4 until 18 years of age it helps them develop there skills and readies them to be able to bowl in college. My husband and i love, love, love bowling. The fact that we have one in walking distance makes us beyond happy. This alley does not disappoint! I managed to get a Turkey here twice in a row and that does not happen for me too often. I think it might be a good luck charm for me :) People who work here are super nice and the place is clean. I'd be lying if I say I did not eat some friend food here as well. Too many drinks mean chicken fingers need to be had and they were deliciously bad for my health but I liked them! Came here on a Sunday night with my husband and sister and brother-in-law and waited about 15 mins for an open lane, which was def worth it. We spent two hours bowling and got in about 3 games. Haven't been to a bowling alley since Covid and came during Black Friday with family. It did the trick. It was fun, no frills and easy. It was quite crowded around our 3PM reservation but was able to quickly get our lanes after waiting for folks to leave. The staff was friendly and shoes felt clean enough ;) Food-wise, best to order at the counter, pay first, and then they'll bring it to your lane when ready (vs ordering from your lane screen). Fries were good but tbh I was expecting them to be a bit crispier - just my nostalgic wishes! One of our two lanes did keep messing up with ball return so we lost a lot of time there and it was just annoying, but they did add time at the end (but not the same as during). read more

Used to come here for Friday afternoon bowling league with East Rockaway elementary schools, but even after we all grew up, my friends and I still come here for bowling games every few months. I love this place! The bowling balls are a bit old and sticky, the lanes aren't the newest, but we an old-timer knows which lanes are slanted. I've found the 8 lb. brown bowling balls work the best. Enough weight to knock down pins without hurting your wrist. There's a little kiddie-slide looking plastic thing to help guide the ball in case you need it to bowl more easily. There's an option for 2 hours of unlimited bowling with catering for $30. Kids can bowl free for 2 games everyday this summer if you sign up for a program. There's a shop there where you can buy bowling balls and bowling equipment. I remember looking at them when I was in 4th grade, hoping one day I'd get a personalized one... While playing, you gotta go grab some fresh snacks. Curly fries and a cup of egg nog! There are pitcher deals as well if you enjoy beer. There are so many beer options whether it's tap or bottled. Bought a Groupon and came by one Thursday afternoon. They are understaffed which you quickly realized as no one came to ask if we wanted anything to eat or drink. I think they'll make more money if they did that. The Groupon was straight forward and I was told we needed to be finished by 6 as they start their tournaments then. I have been coming to RVC Lanes since 2013 when I was a High School bowler. This bowling center is honestly my favorite. I have bowled over a thousand games whether it was part of a league, high school competitions, tournaments, games with friends, or by myself practicing. This bowling center has plenty of leagues. I was part of a youth league that was formed to help benefit kids with college scholarships. They also have some adult leagues. Another league that I was on was a 10-week program that gave you a plastic ball at the end of the session. During my high school years, I bowled about 200 total games. I improved my average from 120 to 197. Not only was it a great atmosphere on Tuesday and Thursdays, but one thing that everyone loved was the food. The food and the staff serving the food were excellent. They have so many options and they are not that expensive. I'd personally recommend the pretzel. I have been to a few tournaments here at RVC and not to brag, but I won one back in 2015. RVC Lanes offers tournaments for young bowlers, seniors, and adults! Now, If you want to go bowling by yourself or with some friends, The rates for games aren't too expensive not is the shoe rental, but I have my own shoes and If you do like to bowl, I'd consider you'd get your own pair too to save some money in the end. If you want a good time and you are up for the change, try waking up for the EARLY BIRD SPECIAL. From 9 am to 12 pm you can either bowl for two or three hours for $20 and $25. This is my favorite deal with friends and by myself. In three hours, I can bowl up to 25 games which means a lot of practice! Come on down to RVC Maple Lanes. The last thing that I have to say about this place is that the staff is very friendly. The guy at the desk, Ed, is a wonderful guy and always serves with a smile. And on the off chance that your ball gets stuck, the attendants will serve you right away. I don't know if he still works there, but James was our main guy when we had a problem with the lane. read more

I've had better bowling experiences. The reason for my visit here was because my 1st choice alley was more packed than a Beyoncé Tour line and arena. I'm no fan of Rockville Centre. Even if it is my birth place. Rockville is notorious for businesses that don't own parking lots and municipal parking. This annoys me. If you don't cater to drivers, you don't score points with me. There was parking available under the LIRR tracks and you have to do some Cardio fitness to walk to the alley on Maple. The sign is almost non existent so you really need your reading glasses and maybe braille in order to find it. This alley is dated. Like a long walk back into the 1960's. The staff is kind and competent. It's equipped with a full bar and small cafe dishing out fried foods for your splendor. Furthermore, this alley serves it's purpose if you're not looking for frills like decent top 40 jams, comfortable seating and breathing room from the other folks playing next to you. read more

Old school bowling alley. RVC Lanes is one of those bowling alley's that made some sort of half way transition into modern times but then maybe ran out of money. The place is well lit and the games are computerized but they computer system is reminiscent of an old Atari system- the graphics are pretty cheesy - they look like they are done on a PC with Paintbrush or something. The bar is old and under utilized - but they do serve beer and the worlds tiniest drinks if you so desire. The operating system that the lanes are on have the most options and just straight stats for the bowlers, more than i've ever seen. Fun mini games, graphics, and one mode just for stats - this is the mode that me and my group of friends come back for. The lanes are always well oiled and maintained. From sunday to thursday 930 - midnight, they have a deal where it's $10 per person including shoes for unlimited bowling. Combine that with sub $15 beer pitchers and hump day becomes the best day. New alleys like 300, etc. are in a completely different ballpark. It's difficult to compare this place to them. This is almost in a different category, let's call it 'nostalgic bowling'. Pitchers of brew, fries, 80's tunes on projected screens, and an abundance of brownish carpet; that's what Maple Lanes is rocking hard and it provides for a nice eve of bowling. Excellent bowling alley with not much fanfare. It's not a huge bowling alley with just 1 side of a bowling alley compared to some places having 2 rows of lanes. The workers here were very friendly and it wasn't very crowded on a Saturday early evening. They have a good variety of bowling balls here (for those non-pros). The place was renovated not too long ago so it looks fairly new inside. It's located next to the LIRR and they have a parking lot in the back. My team just finished it's first season at Maple RVC after bowling many years at a rival bowling alley. This is a clean, well lit, friendly establishment that caters to the serious bowlers like us, and the casual bowlers who come for family fun. Prices are much cheaper than the corporate bowling alleys found all over Long Island, and the maintenance of the lanes is taken very seriously. Pro shop is run by Joe, a friendly knowledgeable professional, and all managers and front desk staff are tuned in to the needs of bowlers. The bar is fantastic - a cozy, six table room with space for 8 bar stools at the bar. Arleen is an affable bartender with fast and efficient service. The beer is ALWAYS cold and fresh, and priced at a solid value at $15 per pitcher. We've never had a bad beer. The owners are very close to the community and are heavily active in BVL - the Bowling for Veterans Link, a solid charity. There's lots of bowling alleys on Long Island - if you have a choice, choose Maple RVC, you will be well cared for. read more

I very much enjoyed my time at Rockville Center Lanes! I purchased a Groupon for me and my family- which was a very good deal! I had never been to this bowling alley (as I just moved to the area). I was very happy at check in to see lots of lanes free on an early Sunday afternoon. I love that each lane has a separate seating area, and theres also a few cute video games. The snack bar seemed to have lots of food- but I had only one thing on my mind- pizza! They offer a large pie with a pitcher of soda for $20. I didn't expect much for bowling alley pizza- but we were all surprised at how tasty it was! I was also happy that they have automatic bumpers which worked great for bowling with my little sister. They also have adorable dinosaur ball slides for kids to use. The service was pleasant from everyone who helped me- from check in to the snack bar. The staff was super friendly and even let us play a little after our time expired. The prices are not that bad as we paid $55 dollars for bowling for an hour, which I thought was a good deal considering they let you bring up to six people. The parking situation is a little funky as you have to park in the train station lot, but luckily we got a spot near the bowling alley. All in all, it was a fun date night!!! read more

The "new and improved" RVC Lanes is looking GREAT! The business was bought a few years ago and they have been investing lots of time, and I assume, money into modernizing the old alleys. They've done a great job, and have touched just about every interior section of the alley's so far . . . and I gather they will be taking down what remains of the carpeting on the walls sometime soon. Hoping that they update and exterior when they finish the interior just to compliment the beautiful work they've done on the inside. read more

It's a rickety old bowling alley, but it has character! Somewhat modernized, yet it's the type of place where the ball still gets stuck in the gutter or you have to press the reset button a couple times.
