This is a good as it gets for a souvenir shop. There's a place to eat, shop, chocolate, glass blowing, and take lots of silly kitschy pictures. The green line might come this far north but best to have a car or be on a bus tour that stops here. I really like that it's out of the crush of people and popular area. My wife and I came here for maple tasting as part of a tour. A lady behind the counter was giving others a sample of maple. I asked if we can have a tasting since our tour bus was leaving in 10 minutes. She rudely said she was in the middle of explaining maple to other people. We just wanted the tasting before we left. We apologized and started walking away only to hear her crack a joke about us as we were leaving. First time in Canada and always heard about American customer service being much better than any other country. This is an example of it. I have never left a bad review for any business but I have also never felt this kind of disrespect from any business I have ever patronized. This just happened 30 minutes ago in case the owners of this establishment cares about the customer service they're providing. This place is cheese-orifically wonderful. It's like all of Canada's kitsch was collected into a single array of maple candy, moose keychains and discount fudge. It's by no means cheap, and if you're smart you really shouldn't buy a single item here. It seems like every tour bus in the area drops by Souvenir City, without which I'm sure it wouldn't be able to stay in business. My girlfriend and I stopped by entirely because the place reminded us of the store in the series Wonderfalls, and for those who know, that's more than enough justification to pull in and have a look around. The items here are really overpriced and expensive!!! I fell in the trap and purchased a pair of gloves for about $24 and found the exact same pair elsewhere for $12 duty free!!! I was bamboozled and really upset! However, the statues and Canadian monuments outside souvenir city are worth snapping photos with! Staying at a hotel nearby? We stopped here after seeing the falls and it didn't really live up to the hype we saw in the flyer. This place gets two stars because it is clean, has a large parking lot, and public bathrooms. If you are looking for souvenir shot glasses, this is not your place. If you are looking for hand blown glassware by an artist named "Rossi", this is your place. I'm not sure how hand blown glassware that's expensive is a souvenir of going to Canada or the Falls. If you venture in, make sure you get the flyer from a welcome centre- it offers 20% off. There is also food court here but we didn't eat at it. However, a lot of people were eating at it. read more

I mean, this is definitely Kitsch City. Anything that could have been thrown in a kitchen sink was put on display and sold here. My daughters and I stopped here for gifts to take home. This is also home to Rossi glass. I would up spending way too much money but the place is fun and inexpensive. RIP OFF! Stopped there as part of a tour. They take advantage of a captive audience by charging 3 times as much for souvenirs you can get for much less a block away. I paid $14.99 for the exact same souvenir being sold for $5.99 just down the road. Save your money and shop somewhere that's not trying to rip off tourists. read more

Your typical tourist attraction with souvenirs. I gotta say, they were a bit overpriced but the blown glass portion was pretty cool. Go sit and watch the artist create glassworks to see the process. It's really neat to watch. But don't think it's made the old fashioned way! The artist uses a lot of industrial sized instruments. It's still the best part of the place! read more

I was a bit bummed to hear that chocolate world was closed for the renovations even though you can find flyers and advertising at every tourist kiosk for them. Seems a bit odd to me. That being said Souvenir City has a bit of fudge for the same price as the other place. Ended up buying 1 pound and getting half a pound free. 6 pieces total for the price of 4. Employees were a bit antsy to close up and go home and ended up kicking us out at 8:50 pm even though the place closes at 9 pm. I mean just relax, you close at 9 pm not 8:50 pm. read more

Delicious fudge. Some of the staff is downright nasty & rude. I asked the fudge counter lady for assistance in buying 6 bricks of fudge and she shouted and was very rude and snotty, I probably should've reported it as my family spent quite a bit of money here, I will not be returning. Fudge is better in NOTL and I'll return there while on my vacation. This store is hum drum but a quick neat look around is alright, prices are OUTRAGEOUS even for the falls wow! My family and I take several trips a year - I'm comparing the prices here to other shops in Niagara falls, florida, hawaii, Toronto and San Francisco - this place is overpriced. read more

It is what it is, which is always fun to stop in and look. There is a glassblowing studio attached to it. Neat.

Our tour stopped here for a 45 minute lunch that felt like forever. The cafeteria was empty . We ordered chili cheese fries and chicken strips . I recommend you don't order the chili cheese fries, because instead of using fresh grated cheese they put thick nacho cheese on your fries. The chicken strips came out less than a minute. They were ok , kind of like a fast food quality chicken strip. The food was un-enjoyable and expensive for low quality food. The store was filled with Canadian things . I didn't buy anything because nothing interested me. However, they do have a restroom in there so, I guess thats the only pro. I don't understand all the hype around this place maybe its just not my fortae . read more
