There is so much variety in high quality goods ranging from 50 lb sacks of flour and sugar to sliced deli cheeses, books and kitchen gadgets. There are also sewing supplies, gifts and art supplies. The staff are very friendly, polite and knowledgeable of the goods that are sold and they are very keen on pure foods. What surprises me as a home bread maker is the quality and price of the bulk foods they offer. They offer several different types of high quality bread flour for far less than you'd pay for at a supermarket. I will be returning for flour, at this price for the quality I will be able to make all the breads I like and not worry about the cost. I also got high quality oatmeal for less than a regular store. The label even states 'no chemicals'. Nice! A lot of these items are all made and produced by various Mennonite farms and locations and shipped here for sale. They also offer quilting supplies in a large corner of the store. Everything you need from the stuffing to fabric to threads and embellishments, this is the place for a creative artisan to gather supplies.

We were looking for some homemade soup, I had read they had good options so stopped in here. I…read moremust have missed the fresh salad bar by the time I got there. The containers which had packaged leftovers from the food bar were really hard to read, no ingredients listed, so I couldn't tell if they were vegetarian/vegan or carnivore. So I went to the canned soup aisle, and they had a good selection of options. I noticed the fridge section had a selection of meats and veggie-based things - but something seemed a bit off/old about them; and I'm not sure why. But it IS on the expensive side; and I imagine because it's a Co-op, and of course as a visitor I wasn't a member. The place felt a little crowded/packed with stuff, but didn't have much of what I was looking for. I didn't find the people working there terribly friendly, or rude. However, I had accidentally left a packet of seeds I bought on the counter, and the cashier actually ran to my car to give them to me. That was a really nice, unexpected touch.

The Heavenly Bowl was pretty good but not amazing. I inherently like that kind of meal. I did not appreciate the presence of any sauce in my dish (menu says it has noodle sauce in it). There was some moisture in the bottom of my bowl, from the veggies. But, like I said, I did not pick up on the presence of a sauce and also there was no little container with sauce sent with it. The pic on DoorDash shows a container of sauce. Maybe there was supposed to be one and they just forgot it. The tofu could have been better...it's the version where the block has been cut up into little cubes. No frying, no cornstarch crust, etc. And like someone else said...lots of celery. I did like that the dish was hot. They seemed friendly. I'd try them again, probably order something else.

I'm genuinely confused by the glowing reviews for this food truck…read more My husband and I had two different meals and both contained watery, bland and hot (but not fully cooked) vegetables. About a quarter of each bowl was made up of half inch pieces of celery. I appreciate everything being organic and gluten free, but this was genuinely disappointing for $21 a meal.

I happened to be at the right place and the right time to hear about there Friday evening dinners. For $25, you get to craft your own three course meal from a choice of apps, main courses, and desserts. The menu is constantly changing depending on what is in season. The decor is nothing special unfortunately, it is just a large open space they rent out for events. But the service is always friendly and attentive. Kristin is always chatting with the guests and Jardin will poke his head out of the kitchen if time permits. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Coos Bay on a Friday night. Be sure to stop in during normal business hours and check to see if they are having their dinner menu that evening!

Jardin IS opening a restaurant.... soon! It'll be at the Coos Country Club but completely open to the public.
