We were in the area and after a week of being stuck at home decided to swing by for breakfast. It's a walk up and order and then seat yourself type of place. This doesn't bother me. You get a number and they bring out your food when it is ready. If you get drip coffee, it's self serve. When you're done there are bins to put your dishes. For the food, I highly recommend the smash browns. They are so good! I do wish you got more of them with an order, but trust me you don't want to skip these! I love the fork and knife sandwiches. Today I got the firebird and I loved the buffalo sauce they use. I've had the squawking goat before too and that one is also tasty. I got a vanilla maple latte and it was ok. I was missing the maple flavor though. The restaurant was clean. I thought it was a reasonable amount of time to wait for food.

My third trip here//I try not to review a new place on a single visit. The wait...out the door. They seem to move the line quick enough, though. When folks are sitting outside in July it is a good indicator they are crowded. Inside is an industrial feeling...concrete floors, open duct work, exposed ceiling, wood tables with metal chair frames. The atmosphere is a bit noisy. There are a good amount of seats inside, but many of them needed to be cleaned, so folks were sitting outside to compensate for that. The folks here ask random questions that have no context to the customer. Why do you want to know my favorite Ice Cream Flavor or the first concert I went to? It seems like a phishing scam, but I know it isn't. They list it on the receipt as an identifier so they don't have to ask for your name. However, if you place a to-go order they ask for your name. The staff was friendly enough, but they are understaffed. When I did finally make it to place my order...I stood there without being acknowledged for about 90 seconds while workers busily scuttled around. That's fine if we are at McDonald's, but this is a $20 meal...and you are asking for gratuity. The cost seems high, but these days that's the trend. Check my picture. The food is good, but it will be too spicy for many. Specifically the gravy and the chicken seem to have a mild kick. I like it/my wife wouldn't enjoy it. Don't come here if you're on a diet...my dish was packed with more than 1,300 calories!! The orange juice is fresh--they have a nice machine that takes care of it all. My grandmother is in heaven mad at me for paying $6 for that machine to make me a small cup of that, though. The orange juice is also inconsistent--some of staff add ice to it and others do not. If I'm paying six dollars for that cup of orange juice...please don't dilute it with ice! All in all--good food, a little pricy, mediocre service. Three stars for me.

Came in, ordered quickly, got our coffee from the coffee bar, sat down and within 2 minutes the employee comes over with cinnamon biscuits saying "sorry it's an extra wait on biscuits today so enjoy these on the house". Not even five minutes later the biscuit meals came out. Maybe other people are just impatient. Only quam was that the coffee bar had no dark roast coffee, granted, i'm sure they would have made more had we asked. Biscuits were nothing to write home to momma about, but the hashbrown were scrumptious!

First visit to Maple Street Biscuit Company in Madison. We got a little bit of everything and we really liked it all! As usual, we all ordered different items so we could try lots of things. I had the Pumpkin Waffle with dried apples and cherries and it was my favorite. I also got smashbrowns and bacon. Diane got the Potatoes O'Ryan Bowl with eggs, potatoes, peppers, and onions. We also shared the biscuits and gravy and Fried Green Tomatoes. it was all good, especially the tomatoes! Kelly ordered the Squawking Goat and I really enjoyed it. Chicken, goat cheese, and hot pepper jelly on a biscuit. She also had the chocolate chip waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. BJ went with Chicken and Waffles and the Iced Cinnamon Biscuit. That biscuit was probably my second favorite. We all agreed that this was definitely a spot we will revisit when in the mood for brunch! #HeatherEats

I ordered the breaded goat cheese & THIS is what I got!

I ordered the breaded goat cheese & THIS is what I got! & their number does NOT work. This was an online order & I am highly disappointed!

Neat and interesting menu and interior. Prices are high and service is slow. Our order was messed up but we improvised. The Cowboy was ok, but the fried steak was tough.

I'm sooooooo thankful this place came to Madison!! I'm obsessed after one visit. I LOVE breakfast food and this restaurant is top tier. I rave about it to everyone. The service was friendly. The outside patio was so nice. The inside was a little dirty but they had just recently opened and it was insanely busy so that's ok! My biscuit & gravy w/ two eggs was plenty. I saved half for lunch. My bf got the popular fried chicken biscuit, he loved it. The light amber coffee was delicious. And the potatoes o'ryan were so good! Looking forward to my next visit!!

The only thing I would mention is the atmosphere. The interior is VERY feminine and very pink, and it feels like the design is specifically targeting a female customer base. If pink isn't your thing, takeout might be the way to go! Personally, I think making the interior a little more neutral or balanced could make the space feel more welcoming to a wider range of customers. Sometimes the current décor can give you a little bit of an "I don't think I belong here" feeling. Overall, though, the food and drinks were really good, the service was great, and I'd definitely come back for those beignets.

However, when we got into the car, we realized they didn't give us a spoon to eat the ice cream my child had ordered. My husband goes back inside but they've locked the door and told him they couldn't give him a spoon because they were closing in 2 min. My husband then walked over to Chicken Nip and they immediately came to the door and unlocked it because they were closing too and gave us a spoon since Beignets and Brew couldn't be bothered. We weren't even customers there but I'm going to give them a shout out! That's the difference between being a good human being and getting a 1 star review.

I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication. The great service alongside the excellent product left me wanting to return quickly!)

It's in the Research Park area, not too far off from University Drive. It's tucked away a little bit, next to the new Viet Crispwich restaurant, but on the bright side there's plentiful parking. The vibes are pretty much immaculate here. Bright, cheerful, airy, but also private if you need -- there are several reclusive booths covered by archways, a perfect hidden away spot to work on a laptop or something. They have cute merchandise and even dedicated items and areas to keep little ones entertained. There's seating indoors and a couple of patio tables and chairs outside too. Service was pleasant enough. We didn't chat much but I was greeted and smiled at and my beverage was ready in a timely manner, so that's all you really need. The menu has coffee classics and then a few seasonal specials. There's matcha too, at least currently. There are supposed to be some baked goods for snackage, but when I visited at about 10:30 on Monday, they only had a few cookies and a brownie. I was hoping for something more in the realm of banana bread or a muffin, but they were wiped out. Maybe Monday is a restock day. They're only open til 2 PM, so definitely a morning/early afternoon hangout only. I got an iced salted caramel latte to go, and I enjoyed it well enough. To me, I really didn't taste any salted caramel, but it was a good iced latte: rich, smooth, almost buttery, and not too bitter. Not as sweet as I'd like but that's often the case with what I consider more "serious" coffee places like this one. If you enjoy coffee, I think you'll like this coffee. It was certainly strong coffee, cause my husband said it was basically emanating off me when I got home. lol. Give them a try and don't forget to take a cute picture with their gorgeous mural!
