Stop by GeezBurger because we were visiting family in the area. Typical local owned restaurant. Burger and fries were the commonality on the menu. It was fairly busy with locals. We were seated promptly in a large booth with our three grandkids. Drinks were brought quickly and the owner brought crayons and paper for the kids. Ordered burger and onion rings, my wife had a burger with tater tots. Grand kids had corn dogs and fries. Food took a few minutes to make it to the table but they were fairly busy. Burgers were a little dry. Tater tots and onion rings were typical frozen product but cooked fresh to order. Girls love their corn dogs. Staff was friend and helpful. But at $8-9 for burger, fries and a drink, hard to complain. We were able to feed 3 adults and three kids for less than $45. Daughter said they had been there for breakfast in the past and it was really good. Pretty good for the price. If I'm in the area again during breakfast time, will have to try again! read more

If I could give this place less stars I would. We've given this place a 1st and 2nd chance I really wanted this to be a great mom and pop but it's just not. The food is subpar at best, staff is not welcoming, and the restaurant is dirty. I've had the burger, chicken fingers, fries, and onion rings. The fries and breaded and that's not my favorite thing but they were crispy. Onion rings and fries were typical and fine but just not good. The burger had a flavor to it that was just not good and almost tasted boiled in something. Christmas decorations must be up year round which makes things dusty. Multiple plants shedding leaves everywhere. It appears to have not been really cleaned in a very long time. We felt like we were a hassle for staff just by being there both visits. read more

Ate there for the first time with some people I work with. The menu has just about anything to fit your taste. I went with the special of the day. That was chicken and dressing with cranberry sauce, vegetable casserole, Mac and cheese, pintos, cornbread and banana pudding. The service was fast and friendly. W been now a total of three times twice during the week and once on the weekend. Different staff on the weekend. Our breakfast and our burgers during the week were excellent as I stated in another review about this place but the weekend breakfast we had was awful and so was the service my BF order messy omelet that I had during the week it was runny and did not have the bacon or the cheese it was to have come with. My over easy egg was under cooked tater tot's bacon cold and toast I order didn't come till just about the end of us eating this awful breakfast and was more what I would call raw toast LOL if this had been our first experience we would not have come back. There are not a lot of places in Athens to get great food, but this is one of them. The food tastes delicious - I haven't eaten here nearly enough in the 10 years I have lived here. The reason I am giving them a a four star and not a five star, customer service! They we not very friendly and snicker once they read my order like it was a joke. The French fries were amazingly seasoned I could eat them with out ketchup. I got the bacon cheese burger it was cooked just right and the bacon was too chewy but not burnt like most places. read more

I eat here regularly. It doesn't get any better than GeezBurgers. The place is nice, I've been here with family and we have never had a complaint about noise or cleanliness. Order at the counter and they'll bring it to ya. The grub is comfort food. I've tried everything. While it is all really good, The geezburger is the best. They also do turkey and dressing on some Wednesday's that is filling and a tasty taco salad occasionally on Mondays. But it goes quick so get there early. In my opinion, the best part is the people. True southern hospitality with a unique personal touch. This is not English afternoon high tea fancy. It's hometown family reunion style. They're closed on Sundays and early Wednesday night for church It could be your first visit or millionth but they will still make you feel welcome and comfortable. The owner is awesome. Not only has he battled cancer but he continues to show up to work daily. He for just sit at home and let others run it for him. Much respect for that man. I have been a devoted customer since they started in a very small building on the hwy. I love their Geegantic Geesburger. Geez Burger is a great place to eat! Love the crispy fries and the fried chicken sandwiches. They are always generous with sauces as well! If you want a greasy old-fashioned cheeseburger then this is your place. I would recommend the double bacon cheeseburger for my first vist , but they also have the Geezeburger which is huge, I would recommend this for the hearty eaters. Great Burgers and fries! Have not had anything I didn't like so far. Prices are very reasonable! Love this out of the way place!
