He had a couple of okay weeks then began throwing his toys at home and becoming more aggressive. When my daughter asked about this she was told they had placed him in the older preschool class because they didn't have a place in his age group class. We had no idea this was being done until my daughter asked if he was showing these behaviors at school. The teacher explained that they would be placing him in the appropriate age group class as soon as a spot was opened. We should have been told this before they accepted him. Around the 3rd week of being there he became sick with a serious upper respiratory infection. He appeared well, when he returned, however, when he was picked up that day, he was feeling much worse. We are disappointed, not only that they didn't call to say he was worse, but they allowed him to be there infecting the other children. After returning to school, within the next few days, he contracted a severe case of "hand, foot, mouth" infection. He had never been sick with even a sniffle prior to attending this preschool! It appears to me the administrators at Cadence Academy Preschool have no regard for the children's health nor concern regarding exposing the healthy children to any virus or infection. This indicates to me that the school is very unclean and they do not care. Lastly, my daughter left her job 3 weeks ago, and took him out of Cadence. She was told they would charge her another 2 weeks, which she agreed to. Her credit card was on file there and watched her card closely. This week is the 3rd week and they charged her again. She asked for a refund and was told in writing they would not reimburse her this third week. As she makes plans on her actions to get this resolved, I decided to write this review to at least warn any parents who check reviews to know of these issues. Cadence Academy in Olive Branch is the only preschool with openings at this time so please do not put your child there simply because they have an opening. It isn't worth it. It says a lot that they are the only preschool with openings to fill without a waiting list.

My 2 year old son has been attending Happy Times daycare for a little over a year now and they have made a world of difference in my life and in my child's. I don't worry about him near as much as I did at the previous daycare he attended. The director, Sandi was amazing. She recently retired but so far the new director, Anajean, seems to be doing a pretty good job. There is some turnover in teachers but not as much as I expected. My son has learned so much since he's started here and he really seems to like it. There are days when I come in to pick him up and I have a ton of questions. They never rush me even though I know they are tired from a long day of working with children. They listen to me and all of my concerns and let me know how he's doing throughout the day. I am very happy with Happy Times and I am so pleased that we found them. I recommend Happy Times to anyone looking for a great daycare for all ages.

We were new to the area and did not know anyone and this seems like a great place to start after going to tour. It's a smaller school and more family oriented which I loved.! She had two consistent teachers that she loved. They knew her by name after being there for a couple days and greeted us every time we came in the door , she prayed 2 times daily and there was an actual learning curriculum.! The price was perfect and your child was automatically enrolled for 5 days . The only con was that this school was on a school schedule meaning they had week long breaks for fall, winter , Christmas , etc. and that was something that our schedule did not allow us to have that type of flexibility.! Be careful, YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET!!!!!!!!! First of all, I never wanted him to go here and this was our LAST CHOICE, the moment I saw the "blue lives, red lives, yellow lives" matter propaganda I was turned off, my nephew is black and those colors are profession, not a race and why are you showcasing your political support for this "cause" at a child center? It makes no sense, but neither does the owner's daughter, Lucille. Also, I discovered they were closed by the health department on 6/15/18 due to their failure to maintain a minimum staff-to-child ratio. Before you say, "Well why did you choose this place?" THEY WERE OUR LAST CHOICE. I wouldn't send my dead dog here. My nephew has 7 injury reports in LESS than a year, On 6/28/2023 my nephew had his first injury at 8 months. He was not a walker, yet their inactive supervisors in the infant room allowed him to climb in a rocking chair and allow him to fall face forward. In the video I was shown on 6/29/2023 the inactive supervisors failed to show prompt care to a baby that was on the ground crying from a head-on collision with the floor. Shortly after this incident, I picked my nephew up and he had a rubberband in his mouth, his foster parent (my mother) called and texted her to let her know! RIDICULOUS!!! They will allow other parents to take YOUR child's belongings home with them (negligence). Skip to Sept. 1st, 2023, the same inactive supervisor who was a floater in his called me and stated that my nephew "busted his head wide open" due to their negligence in putting the class radio back in its proper place (Lucille stated clearly that the radio was not in the proper place). My nephew did not bust his head open, he had a cut in his head and a scratch on his face. On 9/5/2023, these negligent, inactive supervisors put diaper rash cream on a yeast infection he had and I had to rush him to the hospital because he was in great pain and discomfort. His genitals were red and he screamed in pain when I tried to clean it off of him. On 9/8/23, another injury occurred, they claimed he "got pushed up against a gate due to other toddlers running to the gate and left a bruise on his face" So he got trampled? Because he had scratches on his face and his arm. Also on 9/8/23, I sent Lucille a message stating that I would like for this to be a transactional relationship to prevent my nephew's ability to attend this zoo of daycare and she called me to say that "I can pick him up and take him somewhere else if I feel like I don't want to talk to them or if I am likely to have an attitude" She did not call my mother, the person responsible for paying for his care, she called the person that picks him up. She wanted to feel like she had power by passive-aggressively making that suggestion, a suggestion shouldn't have been bold to say to my face. Makes no sense.... Let's fast forward to this month (October 2023), 10/5/2023, I saw this terrible knot and scratch on my nephew and I was like "How did this happen???" My mom showed me the injury report and "He fell and hit his head on a SOFT mat" ... the knot looked like a unicorn horn growing from his head and how do you explain the deep scratch he had on his leg?? I texted Lucille from my mother's phone stating we would like to see the video and guess what Lucille said... "I can't show you the video due to privacy reasons to protect the children" She showed his aunt/authorized pick-up person a video on 6/29/2023.. She lied. Then Lucille proceeded to lie and say "It is a new policy they started" Lucille, It is illegal to create policies without letting consumers know. Like you are truly insulting our intelligence. This social worker documents and will be filing an investigation on this terrible place. And yes, I had time to type all of this today. Here are the pictures and dates to support my claims. Her pants smelled like poop, like she had a dirty diaper and some got on her pants. She had a change of clothes so she should have been changed. The facilities are well kept. The employees are nice and very helpful. You can take classes if you want. You can lift weights. You can do cardio. You can swim in one of three pools if you want. They have a basketball court, sauna, steam room, two daycares, and a spin class room just for spin. Lots of stuff for all ages! It's based on your income so the rates adjust to your economics status. I work mornings so now that only leaves me with one day which is Tuesday and even then the man that works in that department always ends the adult pick-up early for some reason. I'm not sure if it's a racial thing or what something needs to be changed.
