What an awesome addition to the area. We came with a large group on a Thursday evening and enjoyed a short wait by the large fireplace with a cold cocktail. We had a variety of great BBQ dishes and several appetizers. Our favorites were the brisket, pulled pork nachos, and Route 20 burger. While the server was very nice the food was awful. The pasta pomadoro was sticky and gluey with a distinct floury taste. The mac and cheese with pulled pork super dry. The calamari was tiny and the breading fell of the calamari. We were double charged for one of the items. When I complained about the pasta all we got was a "sorry" in a good restaurant the chef would come to the table and own their work. In retrospect we should have sent it back as it was inedible. We took it home and fed it to the dogs and chickens. A 28.00 dollar entry! This places is good for the village but they need to get their act together it is the third time I have eaten there and every time has been a major disappointment. read more

We recently attended an Anniversary Party with about 60 people and enjoyed a nice buffet lunch. The food was tasteful but could have been hotter. The service was good for a buffet. The highlight is the restaurant itself, a remodeled older stone large house with a unique bar. read more

Ate on a very busy Saturday with no reservation. There was a bit of a wait, but ordered some beers and sat by a great fireplace; we were almost sorry to hear our table was ready. Had wings, pulled pork sandwich and brisket dinner. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere is great! Rustic and happy! John, the owner, must have checked on us 3-4 times and apologized for the wait time. Honestly, it was a bit of a wait, but well worth it, and not bad at all, for great food, great atmosphere on a Saturday night! If u are driving past on route 20, definitely stop here. The place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and accomodationg. The My grilled chicken sandwich had a fresh bun, fresh tomato,crisp lettuce and a nice size piece of chicken. It was on the dry side but with the tomato, ketchup and some seasoning, it was much improved. If you like lots of batter on your onion rings, you'll like them. A very nice evening! read more

We made reservations for Father's Day and were seated in a room off of the dining room that looked like a stock room. Our party of four all ordered the buffet at $30 a plate that consisted of a medley of reheated frozen foods, rolls and salad. The rolls were the best part of the meal by far. The restaurant is advertised as a bbq restaurant and all they offered was bbq chicken. To say this place is a disappointment is an understatement. read more

The brisket was blackened and stringy. The French fries were terrible tasting. McDonald's French fries taste much better. One sweet red pepper strip still had the grocery label on it after it was cooked and added to the brisket. Taste and quality must come first! read more

This was an experience I do not wish to experience again. I have been debating if I wanted to do a review on this restaurant after going last week to have a nice family dinner. I was immediately impressed by how beautiful the estate looked, but as soon as we went in and ordered food, we ended up waiting entirely too long to have service at our table. Starting with the architecture, it was a very nice building; unfortunately from there we were sat in a badly lit room that was what seemed to be a storage room. Our reservation was for 12:30, 30 minutes after they open, keep that in mind. Our party of 4 chose to have the buffet, this "buffet" was finally done at 12:54. The buffet consisted of rolls, salad, sausage and peppers, rice pilaf, green beans, fried fish, chicken francaise, bbq chicken quarters, Tortellini, meatballs, and pork tenderloin. In order the rolls were the best thing by far on the buffet, the salad was normal nothing special, flavorless sausage, rice pilaf was disappointing at most, green beans were fine, the fried fish wasn't eaten by anyone, dry chicken, tortellini and meatballs were obviously frozen bagged stuff, and the pork was about as tender as a rock. Our server was nice but the table sat next to us were there for about half an hour before anyone served them. The servers and waitstaff were running through the room and overall were extremely unprofessional. For such a nice looking place I was extremely disappointed, especially as the food looked and felt like it was cooked both hours before and just cooked unfortunately either way you're probably going to feel like eating it will give you a violent stomach illness. A comparable meal could have been sourced at the dollar general down the road. read more

This is an amazing experience. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding and the portions are ample enough to take some home. There is also a banquet hall and overnight accommodations. It's nestled in a unique town with a Sulphur Spring in the center of town. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more
