They confirmed with me that yes, indeed I needed a root canal. They could have scheduled me in fairly quickly but I was going out of town the very next day for quite an extended period. I was dreading the actual procedure based on nightmarish stories that I'd heard before. Boy was I in for a surprise. The only real pain that I experienced was the actual numbing shot to the inside pallet. However, once fully numbed I felt nothing. Bonus points for not having the whole side of my face numb. I expected pain and or soreness afterwards but only experienced muscle soreness from having my mouth open for a little over an hour. Kudos to those who worked on me. Would highly recommend.

I've had to have this procedure before so I was not really looking forward to doing it again. I would say that Dr Herring did a superior job to any of my prior root canals (3). I had very little post-procedure pain or issues. The office staff were very friendly and courteous and the office was very neat and clean. I called the office explaining that I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and need dental clearance so I can start radiation and chemotherapy. Absolutely zero empathy, and the response was "We don't have any new patient appointments until the end of August and we don't submit claims to medical insurance, and if you don't have out of network dental insurance we can't help you". I again explained I have cancer, and this is for medical clearance, and she just refused to listen to me. Rude and completely unprofessional. I hung up the phone in tears because this has been such a frustrating and long journey/process, and it's people like that, who make it so much harder. Whoever that was needs some customer service training.

I saw her the entire time that I lived in Cape May, and it was a superb experience. Prior to going to her practice, I had some not-so-good experiences with dentists and hadn't gone in a loooong time. She put me at ease, fixed up my teeth, and it was a wonderful experience (which I didn't know was possible at the dentist until then!). I also got my composite veneers changed over to porcelain veneers, and she did a fantastic job. One recently popped off (my fault, not theirs) and the dentist that put it back on for me had nothing but great things to say about how good of a job she did on the veneers. So here I am, years later, getting compliments on her work. I highly recommend this practice- they are fantastic all around!
