Came here for breakfast with family on a saturday morning. It was relatively empty so we were seated right away. Our server, Tina, was really nice especially with my niece. She gave her a picture and crayons to color. There was quite a bit of a wait for our food. But the food was good and were nice portions. They have a parking lot specifically for the diner. The staff was kind and helpful. I wouldn't mind getting breakfast here again. I would suggest you just order ahead & do take out if you're in a rush.

Local diner serving very affordable food with large portions. The chicken and waffles and omelettes are my usual breakfast favorites here. The staff are very nice and refill your coffee often.

Got grape jelly for our burger and chicken wrap. Perfect!

This is an awful diner. We have ordered takeout from here whenever we aren't in the mood for much and just want something basic. The food is consistently lackluster, but edible. Today, however, was the final straw. I ordered the chicken Philly cheesesteak wrap, hold the peppers and NO SIDE OF FRIES; they are always undercooked and terrible and just go straight in the trash. Of course, the (extremely greasy) wrap was full of green peppers (an unholy act for a PHILLY cheesesteak plus I despise green bell peppers) and there's a big pile of gross halfway-cooked fries I didn't want. But it gets worse. My partner's Taylor Ham and egg burger.... wanna guess? ... was just a grilled burger patty with cheese on a bun. No Taylor ham, no fried egg. The lettuce and tomato was wrapped separately in tin foil, so at least they gave him something to put on the burger. There was also a separately-wrapped pickle, but he didn't get his side of cole slaw at all. Looking at that sad display, I said never again. I'd rather eat taquitos and dried-up pizza slices from under the heat lap at a 7-11 before eating from the Maplewood Diner again.

Came here late night and as expected it was empty. The waitresses on duty were really friendly and expectedly were pretty attentive since it was pretty dead, except for a few straggler other patrons coming in for small orders. I got two shakes, a vanilla and then a strawberry and neither of them were stellar. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt since it is a diner and have heard that of the three diners in Maplewood (the other two being Parkwood and Maple Leaf) this is the lesser of the 3. The Vanilla shake was alright and the strawberry one was just eh. The cherries were a nice touch but they were those kind out of a jar were also eh, but did make for nice presentation. My biggest gripe is I found that for how the milkshakes were, and at a diner they were a bit expensive. About $5 bucks each I find that a bit high especially since I've had much better and cheaper at other restaurants and diners. Perhaps I'll find myself here again, but I think I'll skip the milkshakes and try the other usual diner fare.

Homefries with onions and peppers $5.57 ..........

Called in to get homefries with onions and peppers this morning ... menu says $3.95 got there and was charged $5.57 ... for just homefries ... apparently onions and peppers are extra. Extra is ok but $6 for just homefries? Not even a sausage added in? No ma'am. I've been here several times they are really over priced.. the food is just ok. Pros: Waitresses are very nice. Place is clean. Never crowded. That's it... Update: I keep trying to give this place a chance but hell no.. overpriced as hell!!!! This half containehour of homefries was $6. Are you serious?!! Will NEVER return.

We paid approximately $80 for food we had to throw away! It was horrible. The steak was leather and the shrimp were old. This is our third try with them. Only 1 meal was decent. We ordered clam linguine and they had none. When we called they said Door Dash gave them permission to change the order...and it was more money!

Ordered a grilled cheese from Maplewood Diner via Uber Eats and it came with a side of hair. They were no help with a refund or remaking it

It wasn't too sweet either. I also got hot chocolate which I think was some of the best I've had. It tasted so smooth, light and rich at the same time and kinda of like chocolate marshmallows! The place can get crowded and it's small, so you end up waiting cramped inside for your drinks. As you wait though you can watch the bakers decorate the cookies which is pretty cool. Service is friendly, got our order wrong initially and had to refund and do it again. It's crowded and loud so understandable. Plenty of parking in the lots across or on the street.

I highly recommend their coffee, I get a different drink each time and I'm never disappointed. The bakery can get a bit crazy and crammed, it's fairly small, and there's a lot going on, especially on the weekends. The staff move quickly to get orders ready and out, everyone works efficiently. As for the treats, my fiancé has enjoyed a variety of goodies from there, especially the cupcakes. I usually opt for a box of the gluten-free (also vegan) raspberry bars. The box is definitely pricey, so it's absolutely a treat for me to splurge on myself. Overall, the spot is worth a visit to while near Maplewood if you have a sweet tooth or need a caffeine fix.

I had been wanting to try Liv Breads for so long, especially after all of the amazing reviews I had…read moreread and the positive feedback I had heard from family. I finally made it there the other day and was shocked at how substantial the place was. It was no small bakery, but was a full cafe and gourmet shop as well. Though I did not try their savory sandwiches, breads, salads, or spreads at that time, I did purchase some of their sweets. First, the Chocolate Rugelach were some of the best I have had. The delicate, flaky cookies were like little croissants and were ribboned with a rich chocolate spread. Their version also had hints of vanilla, which I really enjoyed. I also got one of their large Chocolate Chip Cookies, which was thin, but packed with gooey bittersweet and semi-sweet chocolate. It also had a light sprinkling of Maldon sea salt on the top. It was super decadent! Liv Breads exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to revisiting to try many more of their items.

My family and I have been regular customers at Liv Breads in Millburn for the past five or six years. I come here almost every day, often morning and evening, for coffee and breakfast, and my husband gets his coffee here literally every single day. We have always enjoyed the food and coffee and have spent a considerable amount of money supporting this bakery over the years. Even a regular black coffee here costs around $5 plus and when you are buying coffee and breakfast this frequently for years, you are clearly a loyal, paying customer. But what happened today genuinely hurt me. After finishing my coffee, I asked for the usual refill. The person serving me insisted that I bring back my used coffee cup before she would give me the refill. She then specifically told me that "a lot of people like you" have been asking for refills, and therefore she needed to see my cup before giving me one. If there is a new policy requiring customers to show their original cup, I have absolutely no problem with the policy. What upset me was the way it was communicated, particularly the phrase "people like you." As a brown-skinned Indian woman, I could not help but wonder what exactly "people like you" meant and whether I would have been spoken to the same way if I looked different. I am not claiming to know what was in anyone's mind, but I can say how the interaction made me feel: singled out, embarrassed and unwelcome. I have lived in the U.S. for years and cannot remember another interaction that made me feel this way. What makes it especially disappointing is that this wasn't an interaction between a business and someone who walked in for the first time. They know us. We have been coming here almost daily for years. Customer loyalty should mean something--not free coffee and not an exemption from reasonable policies, but simply being treated with familiarity, dignity and respect. The food and coffee have always been good, and that is exactly why we kept coming back for so many years. Unfortunately, after today's interaction, I walked away feeling deeply uncomfortable and no longer welcome. After five or six years of supporting this bakery, it genuinely makes me sad to say that I don't plan to return.
