Acting like she couldn't hear. I went here 9 times exactly before they finally discovered I had pancreatitis... and then another 5 times. Before discovering my gallbladder had a tear in it. Went into surgery, my arms became swollen and th r y told me my arms were like that when I came in.. the hospital bands were cutting into my skin, yeah I don't think so! After surgery, I got pancreatitis again, They tried to put me into the cat scan, and told me the metal clips would probably heat up, I refused to go in the machine, the tech then referred me as a little bitch to his co worker. Recently I went to the hospital for the Same pains, did the cat scan, I had an allergic reaction, as my bod u filled with horrible itchy lumps, I sat for 15 minutes begging for something, finally a nurse heard me crying to my husband on the phone, she gave me a steroid and an allergic medicine. The itchy lumps went away and a nurse came in and ave me a morphine drip that wasn't for me, but the woman in the next room, I was livid!!

I was impressed by his professionalism and his actual interest in my complaint. An absolute GREAT experience. He has had me in The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods on three separate occasions. I was in for two sets of biopsies and once for insertion of "SpaceOar" for protection during radiation. This hospital, as far as I'm concerned, has always gone above and beyond what should be required for ALL hospitals. The doctors, nurses, orderlies and every other person always goes out of their way to be certain your experience will the best that they can give you. I would recommend this to anyone for whatever ails you. Too bad I can only give 5 stars because it is wsorth so mjuch more.

My Mom had a major surgery and they wanted to…read moresend her home with low oxygen levels (dipping into the low to mid 80s) then they got her put on oxygen and her final day in the hospital, she was completely ignored, no one would come to her aide when she used the call button and completely ignored her all day long. They eventually turned her call button completely off no one could call for help. When she was out of surgery, she sat in recovery for over 7 hours and they wouldn't let us see her! She was the first patient in for surgery and the very last to leave at night to go upstairs. They wouldn't even let us back to tell her we were still there and just check in on her! I've never heard of a hospital doing this. They claimed she was sleeping the entire time which we found out later to not be true. When she was sent home, they timed the oxygen delivery so it was dropped off BEFORE she got home and no one would come to show her how to use it. (She's never been on oxygen at home before) We had to scramble and call around to people we knew that have used oxygen for help. Thank God we had a family friend that knew how to use it! They also don't know what a CLEAR diet means. Who gives a patient tomato soup when they're on a CLEAR diet??? The nurses are all pretty much incompetent and useless! She wasn't even given her prescription meds when she was in the hospital! I am glad I no longer live in Youngstown as I would refuse such horrible treatment from the rude, ignorant, incompetent staff at this sad excuse of a hospital! Stay away from this hospital at all costs! They're absolutely horrible and have zero bed side manners!

Went for mental health and now I'm afraid of going back again. I cried every night, they stand over…read moreyou with a red light for 5 seconds every 5 minutes and don't even give you emotional support. They give you 15 minutes of phone call time, asked for longer phone call time and they said "wrap it up" super passive aggressive also. They almost gave me antipsychotics (for schizophrenic people) because i couldn't sleep at night but couldn't give me simple melatonin from the store. They give you hand soap for shampoo and body wash, a toothbrush that is rough, 24/7 SpongeBob. They wake you up at 7AM for 0 reason. Please do not bring your child here. They treat the older kids like inmates and the little kids like angels; the water is not even hot. They give you 3 towels every time you shower IF YOUR LUCKY, because the towels are small. The only "good" thing about this place is that there's a gym and a basketball area. There was a literal 7-year-old girl evaluated here. Mental health patients shouldn't be treated like they are in prison. the only thing i ate there was meatloaf, cake, and a cereal plastic bowl. They make even the younger kids take off all there clothes behind a curtain put a gown on and then they proceed to say "no need to tie it on the back we cant see" then you have to do 3 jumping jacks fully naked. I understand people sneak things in but why not do it behind the curtain?.. If i could give this place a negative score I would. I told them group therapy doesn't work for me, and they just completely ignored me. The staff worker watching us literally fell asleep on his phone, they expect us to sleep at 9:00 PM. They keep the mental health patients with the patients on the spectrum. the saddest part about that was that there was this boy in there crying at night asking for his mom and the staff just didn't care. They don't even know how to play the game Uno I had to teach a 17-year-old how to play. They have doors in your room, but you have to keep them opened 24/7 even during showers. At that point just take them off. I felt alone, isolated, scared, and heartbroken that they lied to my mother saying this was the best option. Please don't bring your child here. This was such a traumatic experience.

We thought his nose was broken so my wife took him here. Again, same fast and professional service and they are great with the little ones when treating them. And no, my little guy's nose isn't broken but it sure looks like it is. This is an urgent care/ambulatory kind of place. If it something too serious for them, they would send you to a local full service hospital by ambulance if you so choose. Great alternative should you need emergency care that does not require a full service hospital. I will not go to any other urgent care place except for this one based on my two experiences. It's nice knowing you can go here minus the hours upon hours of waiting.

About 15 minutes later she got back on the phone and she said her supervisor was going to call me back. I asked her if she had my number and she said yes. When I asked her for my number she just read off a number that didn't belong to me. Very rude and TOTALLY unprofessional.
