This location is fantastic. The staff is so nice and accommodating. The location although a little small is able to allow guests to eat quickly and enjoy. They have a pick up window for those picking up food to not pack the inside of the location. Now, the garlic rolls. Although small, they are so delicious. The garlic is lot overpowering. It's a might delicious roll. The pizza....exactly the way I like it. You actually get toppings on the pizza and the flavor is excellent. I have been back twice now and will keep going. I highly recommend!!

Excellent Cuban food and service!!! Everything tasted stupendous and the portions still as big as I remembered from several years back. The place is clean, good looking and cool temperature. The 3 young ladies and the 2 young gentlemen that served and interacted with our table were very helpful, attentive and extra nice. The crew also sang happy B-Day to our table and they did it Cuban style with the maracas (like their name) and all. The rest of the tables got involved clapping as the crew was passionate about it and attitude is contagious.

Lively atmosphere. Friendly staff. The pizza was delicious with a refreshing twist on a classic favorite, pepperoni and cheese. The pepperoni was flavorful, with a crispy crust, and very cheesy. I will return to explore more of their menu. And the Lava cake was delicious.

I know it has been a fat min since I wrote a review. However, I am back better than ever to write more reviews my fellow yelpers. That being said, I thought I start with Marakas Pizza ! I went here today for a late lunch with my best friend. We used to go here a lot when I lived in Miami, but since I moved, I did not have the time. More so, I did not want to drive all the way to Miami a lot. Anyways, I am really happy I went back to this place. I definitely enjoy the atmosphere of the place. It is kept very clean inside. They have a. private parking lot. The pretty waitresses were very sweet. Even though they had masks on, I had a strong feeling they were smiling at my friend and I. One of the waitress greeted us with a bottle of water and couple of glasses. She gave us a good amount to check out the menu. The place provided QR code menu sticker that was placed on the corner of the table. It did not take my friend and I long to know what we wanted to order :) We ended up ordering: Medium 14' Cheese Pizza - $12.88 Spaghetti Napolitano (Cheese) - $7.30 Thought about the food: Cheese Pizza, was indeed CHEESETASTIC haha CHEESELICIOUS haha. I loved how when I tried to take a slice of pizza, the cheese did not fall out of its place! The spaghetti Napolitano was a good choice to share with my friend. It was just cooked right :) My friend had said, "the prices of the dishes are very reasonable" I do have to agree with that. Plus, you will definitely have leftovers. Especially with the pizzas! My friend and I only had two pieces while enjoying the pastaaa :) [Oh!] I noticed how each table provided hand sanitizer. I thought that was generous of the place since we are still in a pandemic. I would definitely recommend my fellow yelpers as well as my future yelpers to check out this place. Not only do they have just 'Pizzaaa & Pastaaa', but they do have other delicious dishes ! I keep seeing people mention it as being Cuban Pizza, but it's just a better version of Pizza Hut in my opinion. I think the individual pizza prices are a bit much, but the combos rock and are totally worth it. 2 liter Materva?? Yes please! read more

Sorry I have to give this place a three stars review. Although the food was good, the delivery took more than one hour and the food came cold. Maybe, check the zone where you are at, before ordering from this place. read more

The pizzas are deep dish style. The 10" pizzas are personal sized and very filling. We ordered the Hawaiian, shrimp and guava pizza. They were all delicious. The order did take an hour to arrive but it did give an estimated time of 45-60 minutes when I placed the order. read more

Ordered by phone- first time- was ready in 15 minutes- pizza was good but to much bread not enough sauce plenty of cheese - the medium pizza was big - also ordered garlic rolls they were small but tasty- location easy to get to but parking a problem- was helped right away very pleasant personnel read more

Second time here with The Wife, and we honestly have not had a bad experience.. (Yet). The food is great, the prices are fair considering the portions. I recommend this place to anyone who's looking to have pizza or pasta at a fair price. They also have non-stop music videos playing on their tv's. We'll be back for sure. read more

They offer pick-up or delivery during Covid. They do not offer outdoor seating & there's no need to step a foot in the restaurant, they turned their front door into a pick-up window. We ordered ahead, picked up & enjoyed a hot personal pizza, which is meant for a big appetite! I've had Cuban pizza at other establishments, but none compare to this one! Being a Chicago girl, I do miss having some sauce dripping from my pizza, but Cuban pizza isn't saucy. The Neapolitan noodles are thick & very cheesy w/ a kind of Cuban sweet sauce. We saved those for dinner! read more

This used to be my favorite pizza place. I used to order pizza every Sunday and Friday night. They used to make the best cuban pizza but lately their pizza sucks. I just ordered a pizza and apparently they changed the box to a cheaper material and the pizza absorbed the ink from the box and it tasted like ink and on top of that it was EXTREMELY salty. $20 for a large pizza that was inedible. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. This pizzeria went from the best cuban pizza in kendall to the worst pizza. read more

Great local spot! The food is great and the prices are reasonable. I had the lunch special for $5, included the cheeseburger, fries and drink. Make sure to try the calamari, the sauce that comes with it is amazing. Staff is very nice as well! read more

Thank you Marakas for leveling up the Cuban Pizza experience in Miami. Cubans believe in going big or going home and pizza is NOT an exception. Marakas will not disappoint! We ordered a half Hawaiian, half chorizo pizza and it was perfect! The toppings were perfectly cooked underneath the cheese and the pizza crust thick and perfectly cooked. We also ordered a ham spaghetti and OMG, it was so good! The service was very good, it was a bit crowded and the music inside was a bit loud, but the food was so worth. Will be back! read more

Great service and friendly staff. Very nicely decorated and very clean. It was my first time trying Cuban pizza. I usually like my pizza NY style (thin and foldable), but I was pleasantly surprised with the Cuban style pizza. It is a deep dish type pizza with crispy crust on the bottom and fluffy inside. We ordered a small chorizo pizza, a small Hawaiian pizza, a crema de queso and a ham spaghetti. Everything was very tasty and worth the price. Almost forgot... The prices were very good too, one of the most affordable places we have been to. read more

I will not eat at this place again! Not because of the food, but because of the way you are treated by the employees! Don't know if this is all the employees or just the one who delivered my order to me. I got an order from this place and did not leave tip due to the amount of time I had to wait.. the place is less than 10 MINUTES from where I order it from.. and it took an hour and to the point where we were not even hungry anymore! This is not even the worst part. The delivery man was EXTREMELY RUDE & super unprofessional, called me back to my PERSONAL cell & his exact words were "thank you for the tip, not even $1 " in Spanish.. I am so glad I did not tip this man he was super disrespectful & unprofessional!!! Do not think an employee is supposed to do this whatsoever. Really did not want to rate this place badly because the food is good but I'm not the first to say a delivery man is rude so what does that tell you? read more

Was SUPER excited to try this place out after seeing all their great reviews. However, I was a little disappointed when I got my food. I will say that I did not go into the restaurant and instead had my food delivered. Delivery time: 45 mins. To start with, I had the frituras de malanga. They were tasty but already cold and soggy by the time they arrived. Cheese pizza was okay. Very thick (typical Cuban pizza) and a little overpowering on the bread; could have used more tomato sauce and cheese to make sure it wasn't just toasted bread that you're eating. Chorizo spaghetti was bland and pale. Looked like they just threw some sauce over the cooked spaghetti without stirring or making sure sauce blended well. Would MAYBE give it another shot if I go to restaurant and eat there. Would not recommend delivery. read more

I would've left 5 stars but the delivery service took so long when I placed the last order. It took over an hour and a half for a pizza and a pasta dish. BUT, I spoke to the manager, they actually refunded my $ for the order instantly or not long after. Yelp notified me that the restaurant called to place the refund. Didn't expect that. I was very pleased with that surprise. All in all, we LOVE the food. ESP the pizza. Just a bad couple experiences I guess which I believe they redeemed. Thank you, Marakas! read more

Last night was my first time trying their pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza and a Hawaiian pizza, both a small. The small is the perfect size for one person. The prices for the small pizzas range from about 6-9 bucks so it's extremely affordable. This is some damned good Cuban style pizza! There isn't a crust, per say, but it does have some crispy cheesy edges that are awesome! The pizza is very doughy and soft. They are FAR better than Rey's pizza, and comparable to Polo Norte. We ordered it for delivery and the pizzas arrived within the quoted time and was still warm. I look forward to ordering from them again. read more

Let me start by saying I love to eat Cuban style pizza.. this place was highly recommended. A 40 Minutes drive from my my house... but worth the drive Marakas has very slick and modern ambience. There were a little waiting time for a table. Meaning food is good when people wait. I ordered my classic Pizza & spaghetti Napolitano, great texture, soft in the middle, the cheese was very creamy, crispy all around (perfect) iI have to ask the sweet waitress what kind of cheese they used. She told me was a mix (house secret recipe) For appetizer, we ordered the empanadas de pollo. Home made delicious also ordered sweet potatoes fries and a strawberry milk shake. Love it .. The staff super nice, fast service very friendly, knowledge of every item on the menu.. (they also has different food like churrasco tabla ibérica, etc). Big portions, affordable prices (they have combo special) Love this place will be visiting again soon !!!!!!! read more

I really didn't want to give them 3 stars cause the food here is amazing, one of the best pizzas in Miami. But the delivery service and takeout really sucks, they take forever! I've ordered delivery two times in a row and today take out and the wait has been extremely long! Today for the pick Up they said 25 minutes, when we get there it's not ready so we went to the car to wait, they said they bring it over, apparently they forgot we were there waiting in the car. We waited a whole hour in the car! We had to go twice to remind them. The Other times I've ordered for delivery even worse, i've had to call around three times to remind them about my order when the pizza gets there almost cold. I really wish they'd fix this! read more

Wow, Marakas Pizza was truly extremely good. Great menu, great people, great atmosphere and great times. Def a lunch spot to hit up if you're on a budget. My son and I ate plenty and our bill was under $12 bucks (soda can drink included). I had the Especial Vitanuova which was basically ham Spanish style sausage and spaghetti with a red marinara sauce along with some kind of béchamel sauce. It was super rich for my taste (tons of cheese) but def had good flavor. My sons pizza was very tasty as well but again loaded with cheese. All in all a good experience though and I would give it another try. The service was wonderful. read more

Visited Marakas for the second time over the weekend. This time it was for dining in (vs take out). Both experiences with the staff were very pleasant. The service is friendly and very family like. The atmosphere is modern like and feels very family friendly. Their prices are really great!! The highlights of the dishes I've tried: Carbonara spaghetti is amazing! If you want a good Cuban pizza, get a personal pizza. They also make a good steak sandwich ("Pan Con Bistec"), in addition to other dishes. The service is uncommonly friendly for most places, but especially in Miami. read more

We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. When we arrived there was only one spot available so it does fill up.

When you hear Marakas pizza your focused will be on pizza ;however, the restaurant has a variety of different dishes to choose from " pizza , burgers, pasta, lasagna,sandwiches, chicken , ect.. This place is such a gem, it's tiny and hidden, located in a small plaza, but the quality of the food makes up for the size of the restaurant. First time I was doing my nails at a salon close by and a friend recommended trying it out. I started off with some garlic bread and was happily surprised when it wasn't drenched in grease. Wow this place was great. I got a personal chorizo pizza and beef lasagna. Both were delicious! I'm REALLY surprised of how good their pizza is (despite several tries at other "popular" Cuban pizza spots that were disastrous), their dough tastes fresh and the cheese was perfectly melted to a crisp brown around the edges with great flavor and lots of cheese. Decent Pizza, But Nothing Special Maraka's Pizza was okay, but not amazing. The pizza was fresh, but the flavor was just average compared to other spots in the area. The service was fine, but it took a bit longer than expected. It's not a bad place, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. read more

These guys are next door to me and boy am I a lucky duck! QUACK! Superrrrr delicious food... I ordered the lasagna and a pizza mixta- and it didn't disappoint. I'll be exploring other food options just as soon as I can and I'd suggest that you do the same! So glad to have a new neighbor! read more

Great little gem in West Kendall! Without a doubt BEST Cuban style pizza in Miami and the churrasco is to die for. Sometimes the wait is a little long because the restaurant is small but it's definitely worth it. The restaurant is super clean and the service is outstanding. read more

Came to eat with my husband and had the lobster pizza with spaghetti. It was amazing, we had never experienced such a great taste. Awesome service and inexpensive. Definitely need to come and try this pizza place. We will be coming very frequently now that we found it. read more
