As always, this place always knocks it out of the park. The pizza we ordered was fantastic. It had a perfect ratio of sauce, cheese and ingredients. I also tried their chicken ceasar wrap for the first time and somehow they made what sounds like a simple wrap, into one of the most delicious chicken ceasar experiences I've ever had. Was feeling like pizza, pushing 10pm I'm hesitant to order from places because they're closing. These guys were open till 0145. Never tried them before, and they serve that cake Chicago pile of mess, ok I'm being bias. I went with a pepperoni/sausage downtown original. Ny style, the only style that should be called pizza. Underrated Italian spot! Been wanting to try and finally got around to getting inside. While the restaurant lacks decor they make it up with their red sauce. The Chicago style pizza did lack the meat and had to add from the meatballs. The owner was very nice and our waiter was attentive and accommodated our special request. The have simple Italian wine and sangria offerings. I would recommend if your in the mood for quality not greasy pizza. Their prices are affordable and it's easy to be a repeat customer here. The place is nicely decorated and has about 10 tables up front to seat people. Based on reviews so many said it was too much cheese. I don't think so. Food was good but not as expected. I've had Chicago's deep dish and while the flavor was close, the pizza just didn't hold up well after the first slice, it pooled out into a sad puddle. First of all, the dough to any pizza needs to have quality, texture and flavor. If it doesn't align, the pizza isn't worth it. With that said, I must also state that I only had their version of "Italian" spinach and artichoke pizza and non of it aligned. The crust lacked flavor, the toppings were not per description on the menu and the abundance of plain, mozzarella cheese took over this pizza having the chance of showing off any other flavors. There was barely any artichoke. When I explained it this to the server, who was nice, he proceeded to point out a small corner of an artichoke sticking out from underneath the blanket of cheese. He never offered to take it back to the kitchen to add more. There was plenty of spinach though. So all in all, this pizza was a spinach with extra cheese pizza. They offer no fountain soda . It's all canned. I will never eat here again. I'd rather go home and eat a hard boiled egg- seriously. read more

Being a big fan of iconic Chicago style pizza spots in Chicago like Giordanos or Gino's East, decided to try this spot in Kendall. We got the 11inch pizza and it was HUGE. It must have weighed a good 2 pounds! Five of us ate, and some repeated and only got half way through, so unless there's 10 of you, I'd recommend getting the smaller size. It was very good. I deducted one point because they don't put any sauce inside their pizza and it comes on the side. I missed that, but overall a good pizza. Also got the fettuccine Alfredo. I'm almost never this far south, but before Yelp even existed I remembered that one of the only deep dish pizzas I'd ever had in Miami was down this way. After some initial confusion (there are 2 places way down here with the exact same name that used to be affiliated, but apparently had a bad breakup and don't want to talk about each other), I placed an order 45mins ahead. It was less expensive to take an pizza with a lot of toppings and subtract what I didn't want, then to create my own, so I got something that came with pretty much everything, then asked to omit the ground beef and ham. The other big choice was size, and as I was 'hunting and gathering' for a hungry foursome, I went with the 11". When I saw it in person 45mins later, I thought it wouldn't be enough. I was wrong. Viewed from the top it's about the size of a large fruit pie, but I should have focused on the side view - this thing is a 'cheese brick' and we ended up making 2 very filling meals out of it, which took some sting out of the $30 price (since it was 2 meals, not 1, it was pretty worth it). It's not exactly a Chicago style pizza (which has more of a crumbly crust, and no top crust), and it's not the kind of thing I'd eat more than once a year, but I think it's a unique find in Miami, and worth seeking out. But trust me: if you want to eat it in one sitting, go with the smaller size, and have it with a salad, because your body will thank you. read more

Not bad at all.... the place is small but it has enough seating. Service was very good and friendly. What I liked the most is that you can order pizza by the slice.... and they are giant slices! Pretty much any topping you want but they charge for each topping. The Chicago style pizza is huge ... definitely deep dish with an incredible amount of cheese. I had this pizza from a different location so we decided to order from here and try the new Kendall location. We ordered the Manhattan style cheese pizza and an Italian style pizza (Romana). From the Manhattan style cheese pizza I thought the dough was nice but way undercooked. The cheese was good and the tomato sauce was light. The Romana, was also undercooked (dough), but with this one I felt like it needed more flavor. The romana has green and red peppers, "prosciutto "(NOT), olives and fresh tomato slices. Very under seasoned. Overall kids thought that the cheese pizza Manhattan style was good .... maybe next time I will ask them to keep it longer in the oven. read more

Been eying this spot for months and finally got around to paying them a visit. Thank God I did!!! It's one of the spots that are super lit up on the plaza, and although it's towards the back, you can't miss it. Did I mention it's a hole in the wall? Those are usually the best spots and no doubt that this is one of them. When we walked in we were greeted by what seemed to be the manager or owner possibly, cute short little lady with blonde hair. They are enforcing social distancing my blocking off every other table, and they have a mix of tables for 4 or 6 ppl. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and wow! The bread was perfectly toasted with a savory pico de Gallo type of tomato blend, with some grated Parmesan cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette drizzle. Delicious! If you do not like soggy bread you have to eat it quick though. The wings were perfectly crisp and came with a creamy ranch which was awesome and a side of Buffalo. I'm not a pasta lover but I have to get the lobster ravioli any place that offers it and it sure did not disappoint. Not only was the pasta perfectly cooked but the stuffing was like butter! Sure creamy. The sauce was delicious. Now let's talk pizza. Holy crap! Cheesy, saucy, meaty, crunchy crust, it had every IT Factor! And definitely had one hell of a cheese pull! We got the original Chicago deep dish that had ground beef and Italian sausage but so much cheese and the perfect amount of sauce. I ordered delivery since I wanted a deep dish Chicago style pizza. I had read reviews and they seemed decent. Being from Chicago my expectations were not that high, and it was an okay rendition or their take of Chicago style pizza. People weren't kidding about the cheesiness of this pizza! I had one slice because the amount of cheese is really filling. The tomato sauce was on the side, but I think they do this so it wouldn't be soggy. I appreciate that because I really hate soggy pizza. I found the crust to be different to Chicago pizza's I have had. I don't think I would necessarily get this again. I also ordered bruschetta which comes with slices of toasty bread. The tomatoes were fresh, and a nice garlicky taste to them. I would have liked a pinch of salt and maybe red pepper flakes for a kick. I think I preferred the bruschetta to the pizza. I shared a chocolate mousse type dessert. This had a lovely taste to it. Had a family dinner today to celebrate my son's 21st birthday today. I had called ahead just to make sure they can accommodate a party of 8 so they reserved a table for us. The place was not busy as I had seen it on a Friday night a few weeks back when I was picking up for Uber. Service was good, the young lady was polite and jovial. For starters I ordered the machi sampler, unfortunately, by the time I realized I needed to take photos, the sampler was not looking pretty any longer. But the samplers was a combination of wings, fried pickles, bruschetta and mozzarella sticks. Both my son's ordered the Chicago pan pizza, all I can say is that with one slice they were full. I ordered the shrimp scampi which I wasn't used to flavor so I have to say that I wasn't a fan of my choice of food. The garlic rolls were very good, small bites but very tasty. So I heard about this spot through a Groupon deal that gave me a $20 value that was worth $10. So that was pretty sweet. My friend kinda showed up late near closing hour but they had no trouble serving us which I greatly appreciate. When you arrive to plaza keep in mind that the restaurant is actually on the side of the plaza if you're having trouble finding it. So my friend ordered a large pizza half pepperoni half spinach. It was cooked well a little greasy but it was flavorful. The cheese would draw as you pick up each slice. This is something I really enjoy seeing while eating pizza. We also ordered a sampler for the appetizers I forgot the name but it was basically a little bit of each appetizer they had. Honestly nothing really stood out the wings were okay and the mozzarella sticks were fine. Overall the meal was pretty decent, dope deal found on Groupon, the service was good they allow us to eat after hours and didn't rush us at all.
