Last week, I went in for a routine oil and filter change. I usually wait there because they have a comfortable waiting area with coffee and TV. I had been extremely busy with work and running on very little sleep. After I left, I must have accidentally dropped my credit card outside their building. Not long after I left, they called me to let me know they had found my credit card outside and safely held onto it until I could come back and pick it up. When I asked about it, the owner claimed that wasn't the reason I brought the car in -- which makes little sense, since the light was what prompted me to bring it in. Later, when I returned with my father to ask about the repair and see the old part, the conversation quickly turned hostile. Instead of explaining why the light remained on, the owner became defensive, accused me of name-calling (which I did not do), and even threatened to call the police while acting like a bully. It was an uncomfortable and intimidating experience. In his written response to my review, the owner repeated that he only replaced the oil pan because that's what we authorized. A professional shop would have acknowledged that the oil light would remain on unless additional issues were addressed before charging you $1,300. That type of honesty and communication is what customers expect. Instead, I left $1,300 poorer, still with the oil light on, and treated rudely when I asked questions. Fortunately, I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop.
