I have been going to this gorgeous beauty lounge since they opened and I have to say I have found my spot as this place offers all the beauty services you need. Thus far, I have done eyebrow waxing and tinting, manicures, wash and set. I look forward to taking advantage of their many services, ie: facials, as they have been highly recommended to me by friends. I also have to mention that the staff here is very welcoming, when you walk in Lourdes always welcomes you with a smile (under her mask) and her energy is so amazing! Beatriz, the owner, is super amazing, friendly, and you can tell she takes pride in her business, as she should! And the rest of the staff is super nice and always makes sure you're ok and if you need anything. Side note, I didn't know anyone of these individuals before I began coming here, the environment is just that friendly and welcoming. I take my teenage daughters for services as well and let me tell you they love going to Marbella's and they're weren't particularly keen of doing anything beauty but since I have began taking them they stay on top of their beauty needs. I made a nail appointment a month in advance for today at 3:30 because I am in a wedding on Friday. I work about 30 minutes away from the salon and I work until 3:00. Yesterday I contacted the salon to confirm that my appointment was at 3:30 and find out how long my mani and pedi would take because I was thinking about getting my hair done tonight too. I called at 3:30 today to tell them I was running a few minutes late and they said I had missed my appointment and that it was at 3:00. I would not have made - or ever moved - my appointment to 3:00. When I called today I heard three different stories from 2 manicurists and 1 manager. They said they tried calling me yesterday to move my appointment up but didn't reach me. Clearly they changed my appointment time without telling me. I have no missed call from them AND no voicemail. (I - unlike the business - have voicemail) Why didn't they leave me a voicemail yesterday either asking me or telling me they changed my time? I could not have made it there by 3:00 and never would have made it for that time. And if they reached me yesterday I'd have told them so. I am pretty upset and disappointment at the business and the horrible customer service. The girl I spoke to was rude. They all need to get on the same page too so that I don't hear 3 different versions of the story. The girl also disregarded my request and cut my layers to short so I couldn't put them in a ponytail when this was my request. There was a language barrier. They take your temp at the door and have a hand washing station. Yet you feel right at home. The staff are all very friendly and work for you and are great at what they do. I had Groupon credit to purchase something and so I decided to buy a voucher for a hair cut and blow out. I made an appointment and stated that I had a Groupon. When I arrived, they couldn't find where my appointment was written down (several appointment notebooks). Finally, they were able to accommodate me. After getting my hair washed (which was a great massage), I was instructed to sit at the younger guys chair (don't recall his name as some time has passed). He was great! I loved my haircut and blow out-- he's definitely talented. However, the reason for a lower rating was due to some back and forth with who I think is the manager-- she states that my Groupon is not valid with that specific stylist. Fine, I get it. But I told them when I called I had a Groupon, and also told them when I checked in. It's not my fault you assigned me to someone who doesn't accept Groupon vouchers. Then, she proceeds to tell me that this voucher is for a men's haircut (no, not true-- I double checked and triple checked it after). Finally, we decide that I paid $50 out of pocket, in addition to the $50 spent on the Groupon-- this frustrated me, but after being there for so long I just paid it. Nonetheless, the salon shouldn't advertise on Groupon if they are so against it (I overheard another customer arguing about it too). Found this place on Yelp and bought a voucher through Yelp and set an appt for a gel uv fill in for my nails. Everyone was really nice and my nails come out good. Jessy was the nail tech and she def did do a good job. However , only reason for 3 stars is when I went to pay I mentioned the Yelp voucher and they said they had no idea about vouchers from Yelp. This is second time a merchant denies the Yelp offer. I think it might be more on Yelp, but not sure because I would assume merchant has to be aware if they are on Yelp. it's really frustrating especially since Yelp wipes their hands clean and they or merchant keeps my money I paid for the voucher. I also read reviews about people buying Groupons and that not being accepted either at this particular place. So lesson learned don't buy voucher!! with all that said, the salon is beautiful and well kept and they offer tons of services, but heads up they are a bit pricey. read more

I had such a poor Customer service experience with THE Rudest woman -- Beatrice -- who said she was the owner. I purchased a Groupon as a gift for Christmas for a family grab bag -- my cousin -- who Recommended the place in the first place -- got that particular gift. She tried to make an appointment and let them know she had used a Groupon before (I didn't know that...and I also didn't know she would pick that particular gift)..they would not allow her too. She tried to give the certificate to her daughter -- who doesn't want a pedicure -- they wouldn't allow her to split the pedicure and manicure either...and told her to call Groupon to get her Money back...she didn't BUY the Groupon...I did. So the owner of the store thinks it's acceptable to call the person who have a GIFT to her salon to take the gift back and get their money back. (even though on the website it says the amount you paid never expires at the location you purchased it at)...Bella's salon won't even accept that amount paid. It put me (and my cousin) In such a bad position that I PERSONALLy called and basically this woman said "get your money back from Groupon." Why bother having promotions if you chose not to accept them? Or if you are looking to MAKE new customers perhaps don't be rude and make them feel stupid for buying a gift YOU promote and sell for your location. I would not go here -- I could care less how 'nice' it is, if you won't work with a customer and don't care about a customer's experience you won't get my business. That's not at all nice. They have recently been under new management, and since this gentleman has took over as the new owner the customer service has went down the drain. My appointment was made for 9am but their yelp page and website said it wasn't open till 9:30 so I got a notification from Groupon at 9:15 saying I was late but I was on my way so I called and asked if it was okay if I still went. The lady on my phone said they would try to fit me in because they were SO BUSY. I got there and the door was locked. Once I was let in one of the girls, named Jesse, just said someone's gonna come just stand there it seemed very unorganized. Once the lady, Martha, started doing my toes it was okay she helped me choose a nail color which I appreciated but the girl next to her, Jesse, said in Spanish "why are you helping her hurry it up" not realizing I spoke Spanish as well. If you're gonna talk about a customer at least wait until they leave. Later during my manicure they went IN on my cuticles they took so much skin off too much. Also the lady doing my nails told the other girl, Jesse, hey can you do her nails I don't want to. Something else is that Two other men who dropped off xmas gifts came in during my nail appointment so idk if they got cancelled on it if they were lying over the phone but no other nail appointments. I had a groupon that I had received as a gift that was for gel nails and a pedicure. I tried to reschedule my appointment and was told that the next time that I'd make an appointment there would be a fee. Reluctantly, I decided to go to my appointment even though it was inconvenient. Upon my arrival, they noticed that I had gels on my nails. I've been getting gel nails for 5+ years and I was appalled that they tried to add an extra fee to take off my gels. Totally LOVED the mani-pedi. The attention to detail was terrific. Also, the nail area is open, filled with light and totally comfortable. My only issue has little to do with the mani-pedi service but with the management. There is no outside signage for the nail salon. This is a nail salon within a hair salon and spa. To make it worse, there is a nail salon adjacent to it and it can be difficult to identify where Bella's is. Go into the hair salon and then you'll find it. Well worth it, though. I went there twice to use my Groupon for mani/pedi services with Jesse. The first time I was 13 minutes late (my fault entirely) but service was severely rushed and entire portions were just not done. (I had to ask for scrub during pedi because she skipped it and only one coat of color for the pedi was done.) However, I let it go knowing that I was late, tipped her and left. The second time I visited I arrived 20 minutes early, now with ample time, I wanted to have proper service and be able to relax. Things were still rushed, while a different lady was doing my pedicure, Jesse brought the gel LED lamp to the chair and began to hurriedly do my nails. She spilled acetone all over my hand, ignored it and PROCEEDED working on my manicure! It started to burn my skin and I had to stop her to ask her to wipe it off. After she went away to another area to do something else, she finally came back with a wet paper towel and basically tossed it over for me to wipe off. My hand was red/stinging and splotchy once I returned home. I felt uncomfortable due to Jesse's unnecessary attitude for both services, she gave me a coupon before I left, but why bother? With her rudeness, even if the services were free, I would never be returning. read more

I have NEVER come out of this place with a satisfying haircut, and for some reason I keep deciding to give them a try because they're decently located and it's near my house. It's like giving a toddler $65 to cut your hair. I'm so glad I paid that much money for a cut that I will have to wear in a ponytail for a month until it grows out. I got 2 mani pedi Groupon bundle for this place because it's near my house. I got there 15 minuets late after work due to rush hour traffic. The first thing the girl in the front said was they called me all day and I didn't confirm. Not only that I didn't get any calls that day, I had actually called myself to confirm the appointment. She said she'll talk to her boss because I'm late. Then she came back and said since I'm 15 minuets late, I have to pay a $12 fee for the pedicure. They had 4 staff and ONE customer in the whole salon! I said if they charge a fee, they should have made that clear when I made the appointment. I told them I wasn't going to get just the mani when I paid for both services and that I'd contact Groupon for a refund. She said that won't work because we already redeemed the Groupon. Are they serious?!!! No one should support places with horrible customer service. They are looking to trick people to give extra $ and were so blatantly open about it. Disgusting. read more

Their attention to detail is supreme- they don't rush you like other nail salons. I had no problem feeling relaxed during my gel mani and regular pedi. If I could give a 0 star I would - ESPECIALLY because of when I called the owner today to give them the opportunity to fix (although she cannot give me back the extra 1-1/2" he took off than I requested) - SHE WAS RUDE and would not fix the problem. Ordered Haircut, Shampoo, Partial Highlight, Blow-Dry, and Style through Groupon.. Walk in they tell me $20.00 more because my hair is long. I stated I just wanted the top then where the grays are coming in and to match my natural color. They said they would get as close as they can. Now the guy did not speak English so it took me 3hrs. to get out of there because he had to find someone to translate everything I was trying to tell him. I had my sister and nephew coming for dinner - and had already told her to come a 1/2 hr. later because of what was going on - so after the cut (which again, he cut off more than 1-1/2" off MORE THAN I ASKED) - I told them to forget about the blow-dry & style as I had to get out of there. They STILL charged me an extra $20 even though I didn't get all the services. Didn't have time to argue and like an idiot - gave the guy a $20 tip. BECAUSE I LEFT WITH HAIR WET - I couldn't see till hair dried that NOT ONLY DID HE NOT DO THE TOP WHERE THE GREY WAS - HE MADE THE HIGHLIGHTED PARTS EVEN LIGHTER. You cannot see where they put your highlights as they take you downstairs first to do it and have NO MIRRORS, then wash your hair which obviously has no mirrors. I have 2 streaks on both side of my bangs that are SOOOO light it looks utterly ridiculous. The owner stated "my fault for leaving early and not getting the blow dry and style so the extra $20 WAS VALID (even after reminding her he had to constantly find a translator otherwise I would have had time to stay - and they did such a little portion of my hair - even for people with short hair). And because I left - she doesn't know what I did after??? I said , "oh yeah - I went to get my hair highlighted after to blame on you the next day (after leaving early because I had people coming over). I said "well, nice customer service...I will go elsewhere to get fixed and pay more $ for your mistake, however, I will post on Groupon, Yelp & every other social network to help people not go through what I did since you are not willing to fix." My hair is naturally wavy, I got my hair blown out straight in the end of May. The service was friendly and personable, the location is nice, right on the small shopping strip in Maywood. Usually I get a lot of fly aways when I get my hair straightenened but they took their time to blow dry my hair section by section and smoothed it out with a flat iron. read more
