Horrible experience. Looking for 5-6 slabs for our renovation. Huge reception area with 2 ladies. They couldn't be bothered by saying hello. After walking the front showroom, had to ask if I could see the back warehouse. She made it clear they cannot give pricing for any slab...can only give it to a contractor. First of all, Jose is hands down the most excellent sales representative I have ever worked with - Seriously, I mean ever. From the moment Jose met my Fiance and I he was attentive to every detail and made fantastic suggestions. We chose three gorgeous quartzite slabs (they have SO many choices) and ended up needing a fourth and Jose was extremely responsive. Both times he had my slabs shipped out to the fabricator so quick that it even surprised them! I recommend checking this place out because it is huge and the selection is enormous. Do you know how you found a GREAT place, and you rave about it - until you stumble upon an ever greater place? You could say that about Marble of the World. Taking nothing away from the other places we've visited, Marble of the World has them beat because: They give you prices before you leave the showroom, so you really have a sense of how many square feet you need (bring your measurements and they'll help convert to square feet - for things like backsplashes,etc.) and the cost of using a particular stone/tile. They have a clearance area both in their building and online. They offer granite, quartzite, onyx, marble, and more - so it's a way to get a usually pricy table top at a great price, if all you need is a piece of a slab. (Clearance slabs typically have cracks or damage on a section of the piece.) They are hospitable. They ply you with bagels, pretzels, freshly made chocolate chip cookies, coffees, and waters while you wait for a rep to escort you around the showroom and slab area. So, of course we found slabs we love more than the ones we found at another place. And of course they are quartzite, more expensive than granite. And I saw tile for the shower stall I'm crazy for but it's on backorder until Europe is finished with it's annual August siesta. So either my fabricator finds another source for the 35" x 71" tile that looks like polished travertine or our bathroom renovations will be delayed. But they say good things come to those who wait - likely by people who have to wait. So if you want to see exotic and beautiful wonders of nature in the form of stone and tile you should visit Marble of the World. Not your average home improvement store! On entry you are greeted by a receptionist. In what could feel like an office setting, the desk is front and center with very friendly person to greet. She offered to get assistance and told us about the "cafe". To her left was a cozy looking living room style seating area. We wanted to look so proceeded onto the showroom area. This was beautifully laid out in isles with vertical displays featuring many choices. This was not just your average tile but many unique options. I saw materials I never imaged in this format. Of course there were no prices and I know I should have been afraid to ask in some cases. There was no pressure and we were not approach until the very end. As we were heading toward the door, we passed through the "cafe" area. The carnival style popcorn cart caught my eye first and if it had been later in the day, I know I would have indulged. The many other choices were appealing if only we hadn't just had breakfast. If you are looking for an "upscale" shopping experience, this is the place to go! read more

The sales person personally walked us around the showroom and warehouse and showed us all our options. The sales person gave us a estimate with three options within the price range we wanted to spend. There was no pressure to buy at that time. There is a pleasant, friendly, well mannered front receptionist, a computer sign in, donuts, coffee and jelly rolls to have while you wait; if you have to wait for a consultant/representative. We're about to start renovating a house, which we recently purchased in Deerfield Beach. Our friend, who'll be re-doing the kitchen, sent us to MOTW because he said they have a great selection of materials and good prices. Unfortunately our sales experience there was one of the worst that we've ever experienced. It was epically bad. From the moment we walked in the door the rudeness began. The receptionist demanded that we register and state who had sent us and who our fabricator was. Then the sales rep, Lori Bader, was very impatient when showing counter options, rushing us through the showroom. She floored us when she remarked derisively, "Yeah, you and everybody else," when we described the granite we were looking for. She showed no enthusiasm or interest when answering our questions, and made us feel as if we were bothering her or wasting her time. I guess she may have been having a bad day for some reason, but still it makes you wonder why and how someone keeps a job she seems to hate so much. The icing on the cake--we said good-bye to the receptionist as we left, and she totally ignored us, but I guess it was the appropriate way to end a nightmare experience! Bottom line: we won't be making a purchase from this business. read more

NPS = 8 Premium place to come tile shopping! Expensive, but customer service is on point! When you arrive, you are greeted by a fabulously professional and hospitable host. You sign into the computer and wait to be called as you make your way towards some refreshments. They have all sorts of coffee (a machine that makes espressos of all sorts and drip coffee as well), bagels, and cookies. Really cool. When you are called, a sales rep explains what they have in the store and really help you find what you are looking for. The customer service at this place is really white glove and some of the best I have seen. The tile, though, was a bit expensive but again you get what you pay for. We were not really looking to spend upwards of $7 a square foot on tile. That's pretty wild. Anyway, if we wanted the top notch "Cavalli" tile, this would be the place to get it. I went to this place a few months back when I was waiting for an interview, and I must say that it made an impression on me. I went to their warehouse location, and I got to see them fabricating granite and marble, and then when I went to their showroom, some of the pieces they had were just jaw dropping! The Good: Beautiful stones: Whether you are into Marble, Granite, or Exotic stones, Marble of the world will have you covered! Their samples are pretty amazing, and some of this stuff is imported from halfway around the world.... although that could be why the name Marble of the World is so fitting..... In House: All of their products are fabricated and assembled in their warehouse, which is quite expansive. The Bad: N/A Even though I don't live anywhere near Ft. Just help yourself to a myriad of treats. We were so fortunate to have Michelle assigned to work with us. Within 5 minutes we felt like she was an old friend. A CANDY STORE FOR SURFACES When we renovated our house last year, we faced a problem comma massive with the flooring for the first level, including the living room, dining room and kitchen. The marble we ordered from a Hialeah vendor never materialized. This threw our whole project off schedule. Luckily, we found MARBLE OF THE WORLD in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Their marble selection is dizzying, like a Baskin-Robins for surfaces geeks (like us) with plenty of alternatives to foreign quarries that were easily accessible here in the U.S. to avoid foreign-quarry delivery time and hassles. We chose a sparkling white glass that comes in a giant 48"x48" white tile we hadn't seen anywhere else. It's almost mirror-like surface reflects the sky on a sunny day. Our salesperson, Katina Papintanokis, performed like a champion. She jumped through multiple hoops to get us our order at warp speed and finally got us back on track. Beware!!! Be informed!!! We purchased what was reported to be 3 Quartzite slabs for over $8,000. Two of the slabs absorbed water and stained while waiting for fabrication. The Marble of the World sales and management then blamed us for leaving the stone slabs outside and unsealed, but according to other sellers, GENUINE Quartzite will not absorb water in the elements and does not need to be sealed. This company grossly misrepresents what they are selling, they are not credible people and their business practices are not customer focused. They are outright untrustworthy. They lied to us about the product, they retracted their verbal agreement to return the material plus they would only issue us a $2,000 credit for future purchases after we pressed them for written documentation. Recommendation: Do your homework in advance and stay clear of this company. Unfortunately we listened to others and did not personally do our due diligence beforehand. We had wonderful experience at Marble of the World n Palm City, FL ....from the moment we stepped into the showroom. The people were extremely pleasant, courteous, and helpful. We went back several times looking at the different choices of granite. We worked with 2 people in particular: Frank and Deanna. They were patient with us as we worked on making a selection. They gave us samples to take home to help us narrow our choices and were always willing to answer any questions. This is a terrible company. They do not honor the product. We purchased 500 square feet or 125 2 x 2 marble tiles from the Stuart branch. Once delivered the corners were broken from at least 1/2 of the shipment. It doesn't even look like the same product we picked out at the warehouse. Is it? Marble of the World has refused to do anything to make good on this major purchase. We were told "it is our problem." We asked for the tiles to be re-cut or a partial refund to cover the cost. They act all jolly, talk nonsense, give you free raincoats, highlighter pens and popcorn, but when you need a good product, they can not deliver. Please take this review seriously. I just had three slabs of Fantastic Brown quartzite that I bough from Marble of the World installed in my kitchen, and I could not be happier. The service was absolutely over the top. My salesperson, Carolina Abadia, could not have been more helpful. She guided me through the process, teaching me about different kinds of stones as well as manmade products. Buyer Beware!! Don't let the free food and smiling faces fool you. I bought $4000 worth of Quartzite slabs that were loaded with filler that turned yellow within a couple of months. They looked great in the showroom and turned shortly after. This happened before the fabricator ever touched them and they were never installed. The attitude and response I got was a slap in the face. Once the product leaves the store you are on your own. They offered no help or compensation and tried to blame the problem on me and the fabricator. Easier to just point the finger at someone else than to take any responsibility. There are many places in South Florida to buy stone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I learned the hard way. read more

I first visited in June last year with Coralie. She was very helpful and unhurried showing us around a wide variety of tile and stone slabs. I fell in love with the Shell Reef tile an absolutely amazing tile that is full of life and character, like no other, until you get into Quartz. I wanted to use this to make a grand entrance way into a house in the Caribbean and I wanted to further enhance its appearance with a medallion inset with Galaxy Black Granite and Jerusalem Gold. This required CNC water jet cutting so realizing the stone was soft I purchased samples to cut the medallion before I committed to purchasing the whole. This took time but worked beautifully so I was able to order and pay for the balance. I was needing to travel internationally so Marble Of the World stored my tile for me for two months.The tile was collected and shipped to the Caribbean in October. It was held up being laid due to problems with the massive 10'6" entrance doors being fitted. When we finally went to lay the tile in February we discovered we had the wrong tile. Somewhere along the line there was a mix up and we are now talking six months since the product was collected and it was not viable to return it. Well Coralie stepped up to the mark and went straight to the top brass. She received the permission from Kevin Nasello the Chief Operating office and Chase Urso the owner to replace the tile free of charge! Wow now that is what I call customer commitment especially when the other tile cannot be returned. I am quite used to being ripped off when purchasing for the Caribbean as the vendors know that once its there its too late.
