Who could ever have something negative to say about creating your own ice cream flavor? Marble Slab Creamery has become top of my list for several reasons besides creating my own ice cream scoop. I'm a fan of MSC because Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone charge you for every extra topping you place in mixins. MSC allows your creativity to go wild and gives you unlimited mixins (at least the one in Pearland does). I usually don't ask for more than three because too many give you a mix in MESS rather than ice cream with mix ins. Let's still respect the integrity of the ice cream people!!! A few things I must highlight besides unlimted mixins are the labels on the ice cream. They include a major allergen listing like soy or milk ingredients that the ice cream contains. Since I'm trying to eliminate soy as much as I can from my diet, I am thankful for the information on the label. Once more, the cones and bowls are always so fresh because who could enjoy ice cream with a stale cone?! Not me! Finally, I get app coupons pretty often to defray the cost of my purchases. Recently, I redeemed a birthday coupon that is worth $5, but I had a $3 off coupon as well. Most places don't allow you to double coupons in one transaction, so I expected to pay $2 and change for my order. However, I found out at my last visit that you can use more than one coupon during a visit. Game changer!!! My order ended up being free, but I left a tip because I was grateful the crew member was looking out for me. Service is always prompt and polite, so you'd be good to sir down and eat yoir ice cream in the shop (because the tables are usually clean from what I noticed). I've sat down once to eat my ice cream cone, and it was a pleasant experience. On their menu before you order it states unlimited amount of toppings however some person has changed it to where a customer is only allowed three free toppings (change it on your menu as well then). Not only that but the way they measure their ice-cream now (which is by putting it into the bowl and then taking it out for your toppings to get precise measurements) baffles me. They're located in a shopping center so parking won't be an issue. What's cool about Marble Slab is that you have unlimited mix-ins. I don't think this was always the case but it is now. Mix-ins are what you put in your ice cream e.g. fruit, chocolate, toppings, etc. What Marble Slab does is they take your flavor(s), mix in your mix-ins, and serve you your creation. Marble Slab reminds me of Coldstone. It's decent for a chain but I'd rather go to a local spot if given the opportunity. read more

Fast and friendly service! My hubby and I decided to visit after dinner for a sweet treat. Upon entering, there was a pleasant smell much like white linen air freshener. I ordered the Fudge Brownie Delight and my husband ordered 3 scoops of sorbet: red orange and raspberry. I asked for the brownie to be warmed up so it could mix well with the ice cream, but once I received the fudge brownie delight, the brownies were NOT warmed up as O requested; therefore, it was griddy and somewhat hard, not mixing with the ice cream as I had hoped. This location is a hot mess! The floors were so dirty, covered in melted ice cream and sticky. The tables weren't much better either. The paying/line was a joke. They were bringing people in line behind me to in front of me to pay for some reason, while I stood there with my ice cream melted. The person at the register was possibly new because she had no idea how to work it and kept trying to charge me for other people's ice cream. I've have less than a handful of good customer service experiences since coming here but lately I'd have to say it's been the worst. My Wife and I visit this location WEEKLY, as we usually treat ourselves with Ice Cream at least 1 Night out of the week. We love Marble Slab and this location is the closest to us. Normally, we are met with Average/Dry Service, but of course the Ice Cream and location proximity to our home is what continues to bring us back. This particular occasion we arrived at the store at 9:50, with the store sign showing that it does not close until 10. The sign was flipped to OPEN and we walked in greeting the 2 Girls working. Neither Girl responded and as soon as we walked in they immediately turned their back and started walking towards the back room. Now at this time, we can see that ALL the Ice Cream was covered and we proceeded to ask the girls if the Ice Cream was still available and are they still open. Once again, my Wife and I are FREQUENT customers, so every now and then some of the girls will recognize us as usual customers. Both Girls continued to walk into the back room and not once acknowledged us or spoke back. There was a clock hanging on the wall next to the entry to the back room and as she was walking the second girl proceeded to PHYSICALLY PULL THE CLOCK OFF OF THE WALL AND FLIP IT AROUND TO SHOW THE FIRST GIRL WHILE POINTING AT THE TIME. I was completely taken back by their actions, as not only the Disrespectful Gesture, but the fact that WE STILL HAD NOT BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED OR ANSWERED. Both girls stood in the back room with their backs turned and refused to communicate or look at us. At that moment, we decided to leave since they would not serve us. We got back in the car at 9:56 and IMMEDIATELY the second girl came and LOCKED the door which was still before the time the store was actually supposed to close. She skipped over my father and took someone else's order even though he was there first. When something was said about him being skipped, she proceeded to get an attitude and make faces saying " I didn't know he was next in line". STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!! We got there on a Friday night around 830pm. We were not greeted when we entered, which I feel that's always a good impression. Then the costumer service is TERRIBLE neither girl working there smiled. The one girl who was making our ice cream had a resting bitch face. It seemed if I was bothering her and like she didn't want to be there. Never asked if I wanted any toppings I had to tell her before she placed the Ice cream in the cone! We sat to at least enjoy our ice creams, tables were dirty and sticky and floor looked nasty too. Then I noticed one of the girls putting up the toppings and I looked at my watch and it was about to be 9pm. I checked and they don't close till 11pm, why the hell was she putting up the stuff up?!? Then MORE people started to coming in and the girl looked so annoyed because she was in the process of putting up the topping. HA!!! Like I said stay away from this location!! Just don't go to this location. There's a cold stone down the road. Went here earlier today and the two girls working charged my bf and I 5.99 each when I ordered a kiddie, and he ordered a small. It clearly says that for the small (4.99) a hand rolled cone is included. Yet when we brought this up the girls kept saying that's only the price for ice cream in a cup (even when we pointed to their menu that said otherwise). Got varying responses from both (that it's a $1 extra for a small to be in a waffle cone, or that only a regular size includes a waffle cone); didn't know how to argue past pointing to the big menu in the back twice, so we just gave up. Our bill said misc cone for both of us. I asked one of the girls there if I could then get a small ice cream, considering my 3.99 kiddie was now 5.99, so she gave me more (hence the extra star in this review). We've been here before, and know this isn't how it works. If things have changed y'all should update the menu. Otherwise do better in training your workers this was such a ridiculous experience.
