Stopped by Marble Slab Creamery and it ended up being one of those simple stops that really hits the spot. I went with the Oreo ice cream and it was exactly what I was hoping for rich, creamy, and packed with that classic cookies and cream flavor. You could tell it was fresh and made with quality ingredients, and the portion size was generous without feeling over the top. What really stood out though was the service. The staff was friendly right from the start, took their time making sure everything was done right, and kept things moving quickly even with other customers coming in. It had that welcoming, laid back vibe that makes you want to stick around and enjoy it instead of rushing out the door. The place itself was clean and well kept, which always makes a difference when you are grabbing dessert. Overall it was just an all around great experience from the ice cream to the atmosphere to the service. Definitely a go to spot when you are in the area and craving something sweet, and I will for sure be stopping back again next time I am in Pooler. read more

I really really enjoy Marble Slab Creamery for there wide variety and selection of ice cream. They even offer shakes and cakes for various occasions. The only downside I have noticed on various occasions is the lack of good customer service, it was fair when I started going years ago but now they barely speak to you. I am not sure if it's the owners who are now doing the daily operations, but to run a business for families and to barely be personable is really unfortunate and disheartening. read more

I haven't been here in YEARS! We had a Marble Slab in Boone, NC, and I missed it so much. I'm not generally in Pooler, so this was a huge treat! I ordered the Willy Wonka, dark chocolate, chocolate chip, and brownie pieces, which are so rich and good! The place was very nice inside with plenty of seating and I really enjoied all the cakes they had, I would love to try their ice cream cakes. read more

That being said this place is in a plaza so there is plenty parking and the dining room has the ice cream shoppe vibe. No customers inside on this night so I was able to get right in. The menu is full of great options and the display of ice cream for taste testing has a great variety. They even have prepacked and cakes that you can take with you. I ordered the waffle cone with 3 scoops and UNLIMITED mix ins. The scoops can be combined or added separately. From the advertisement, this ice cream is handmade, and it tastes as such, smooth and creamy. All flavors were delicious and all mix ins were on point. Came here with my husband. No one was wearing masks or gloves- normally I don't mind no masks but the guy who made my ice cream has it dripping over the side touching his hands. He handed it to me dripping all over the sides instead of cleaning it up. He kept talking to the other workers holding my ice cream in the scooper. Especially with COVID i felt uncomfortable between no mask, talking constantly while making my food, no gloves. When he turned from the slab where he was mixing my Ice cream and toppings to get the cup to put it in, he scooped the ice cream up Ans turned with it, dropping huge scoop on the floor. I will first start by saying the snickers ice cream cake tastes good. However the cake only had half of the topping it's should've which was obviously disappointing when they show snicker crumbs all over cake. To see it's only lined on the outside with a few snicker pieced and 3 small pieces throw in the middle for $50 for a cake I expected just a few of the crumbs.Obviously not like the pictures because most things don't look like the picture. They have a large variety of flavors including Birthday cake, Butter Pecan, Red Velvet, Cotton candy, etc. There are plenty of toppings for selection like Almonds, Oreo, Gummy bears, KitKat , Marshmallows and flavored sauces like Chocolate, Caramel etc. - it will take you several trips to try all of them! The menu has several preset combinations that you can choose from or you can make your own. I love the Cookies and Cream Oreo shake made with Sweet Cream icecream and my hubby swears by the Red Velvet Wonderful in a waffle bowl that's made with Red Velvet icecream, pecans, brownies and fudge (he also asks them to add cake ) - decadent! The portions are decent as well! This used to be my family and I's favorite local ice cream place it was a 5/5 stars up until they got new employees that can't do their job properly. They wear no gloves or masks. Which honestly wouldn't be a problem if they weren't licking the ice cream off their fingers to clean it up or scratching their heads like some were doing when I went today. It disgusted me and I honestly don't feel like ever going here again. Also to make it worse the "ice cream" they serve isn't even ice cream anymore it's basically sugary flavored milk. Pretty interesting spot, very similar to Coldstone. Ice cream was great & they have options made with soy milk which was a huge plus but they don't have as many flavor or topping options as their competitor. There also isn't any outdoor seating. Overall this place was a nice experience though, and it was nice to try something we don't have at home. read more

Not my first visit, but on this visit the stench from a sewer issue was very faint. That was a plus. Was staying away because the smell use to be awful. After inquiring several months ago the young lady stated it was out of their control. Just glad its better. The line was short so that was a plus, many times its long with only one person working. We looked at it online and thought it would be great! But when we walked in we automatically noticed the dirty tables and long line. But that wasn't even the worst part. The lady's weren't cleaning their spots on the slab, this causing other flavors of ice cream to mix in with yours. When I received my ice cream the lady handed it to me with the ice cream spilling over the sides. Over all my group and I did not have a great experience here. I ordered the birthday cake ice cream with chocolate fudge, cake pieces, and rainbow sprinkles. I loved it! As an ice cream connoisseur I take joy in trying different ice creams. So as I left out of a couple of stores in the area I decided to go get some ice cream. I was really tempted because I saw an add on social media stating that the store had free mix-ins. So I thought why not. As I walk in the store I immediately notice how clean the store was (even though there were customers in the store). As I walked up to the counter I scanned the different flavors to find something to try. The young lady behind the counter was working with one of the ice creams so she didn't notice me walk up to the counter. After a couple of moments she noticed and greeted me. The flavor I wanted to try was birthday cake but she stated that the flavor had melted (very confusing when everything else was intact). So I tried the Sweet Cream and another ice cream that wasn't truly memorable. After trying a couple of ice creams and realizing they were all basic and pretty bland. However, since i took the young lady through a world tour of tasting I decided to just choose a flavor and add some mix-ins. I decided on the Sweet Cream with fudge and snicker mix-ins. After the young lady mixed up my ice cream and placed a lid on the ice cream so that I could travel with it I headed to the checkout. When the young lady gave me my price I inquired about military discount and I was delighted to know they offered military discount. Once I got home and began eating the ice cream I noticed ice slivers in the ice cream. The first sign of old ice cream. It's safe to say I won't return. Overall this restaurant deserves a D+.
