So I went into marble slab, chose a design in the book and paid $50 for a cookie cake. Came back two hours later and when we received it, it was the complete wrong design. We took the cookie cake back to the store and told them this and they did not care and refused to remake the cake saying that the design number in the book is different than the one online, which means update your books in the store, idk why that's our fault? DO NOT ORDER HERE! I received the WORST customer service from the Manager of the store. Our company placed an order for some ice creams as an afternoon treat at 11am, for delivery at 1:30pm to our office. 1:45pm comes around and I call to check on the order, the girl working said they didn't receive our order at all through the website but that her manager would be back at in 10 mins and would give me a call. The young girl calls back and says our order was ready in the fridge but that there were no delivery drivers to pick it up and I would have to go pick it up. I let her know that I paid for delivery and tip through their website and she is saying there is nothing they can do about refunding that because it is a 3rd party they use. She is then talking back and forth with the manager to relay information to me. I finally ask to get the manager on the phone and she says that a driver just got there and that our order is being delivered. It doesn't stop here as a happy ending..... When the delivery driver comes to deliver our order we had one ice cream missing. I call the store to speak to the manager and she was NOT apologetic either time with our order being delayed or missing one of our ice creams. She was very RUDE the whole time and not Manager material and setting an example for her workers who are hearing her talk on the phone. Instead of being professional and asking me to please hold to check her receipt she right away tells me "NO, I was the one who made your order there isn't one missing". I have to tell her "Yes, I only have 4". She then checks some paper and finally realized she did miss one of orders. She then tells me that I would have to get a refund through Uber because they delivered it eventhough I ordered through the Great American Cookie website. I ask her how and get a little frustrated that I would have to go through this whole process of getting a refund when it was her fault from the beginning. I then begin to tell her that the customer service I received from her was not great and she never was apologetic about any of this situation. She then tells me that she did apologize and to have a great day and hangs up on me. I tried getting a refund through the Uber app as she said but am unable to since I didn't place the order on the app and went through their website. I have not had Marble Slab ice cream in a very long time and was so excited for this afternoon treat but it turned into the WORST experience and will NEVER come back again. Ordered a small cup of butter pecan with chocolate chips & caramel. Watching the server prepare it literally turned to mush with less firmness of a milkshake. She tried to scoop it up put in the cup & the mush wouldn't even stay on the spatula, she used her gloved finger to push it on & pour it the cup. She didn't offer to try again but instead nervously handed it to me trying not to spill the full cup. Very unwelcoming atmosphere. Long line and the workers were preparing the ice cream at an incredibly slow pace. They were completely incapable of scooping and mixing in the ingredients, resulting in completely melted ice cream. Trouble deciding if they weren't trained or they just didn't give a crap. I will say that before closing to remodel I don't recall ever having a bad experience here. I've visited very frequently and it was my go to ice cream spot in town. But since the remodel coming back, I have had nothing but terrible experiences. The first time was when I showed up at 8 o'clock and all of the lights were off and the open sign was off. I told my husband that was weird because the door said they closed at 10. He open the door to find out they were in fact open, but we're just hoping that no one else would come for the rest of the night? If you want your business to be closed at eight, close the business at eight. fast forward to last night we went in at seven, and had the worst experience with the employee. First, when taking my order the employee seemed completely uninterested in listening to me. As he's making my order he grabs a waffle cone bowl after I had ordered a cone that you hold in your hand and asks me how many scoops did I say that I wanted. I politely responded that I only wanted one scoop and I actually wanted it in one of those cones, and pointed to the cone. He turned around and looked at the mini cones that were sitting there mumbled something and then continued to put the ice cream in the bowl. He had his headphones in his ear the entire time while serving me, so it's no wonder he couldn't hear me or maybe he just really could care less. They handed me and my husband our ice cream at the same time and they were both already a soup like consistency, my husband was melted so much already that it was coming out of the bowl dripping everywhere. Since when is the slab of marble not frozen enough to keep the ice cream cold? Why are you handing me a $10 ice cream that is melted soup in my cup? Completely unacceptable and just really disappointing. We won hundred percent will not ever go back to the store. So awful. It's so disappointing when a business goes from being your complete favorite in the town to the absolute worst. As I read the rest of these reviews, I see that I am not alone in my experience. The ice cream I have to say was yummy, because who can mess up ice cream? Before I ordered I asked to sample the birthday cake and the worker seemed less than amused. She gave me the sample without a word and just looked at me blankly. My friend ordered her ice cream which was the same as I ordered except she got snickers. I got a small adult (2 scoops) of sweet cream, Reese's chunks, and hot fudge. When the worker handed my friend her ice cream, ice cream fell out of her cup onto the counter and my friend had to clean up the mess. She did the same with mine as well. The worker said nothing about it and didn't offer to clean it up. When checking out my friend and I had to grab 5+ napkins to clean our hands and cups from ice cream falling everywhere. She didn't say "sorry" or anything. She gave us the receipt and went. This is a place to make people happy. Having a sour attitude does not make people happy. read more
