Day-of Coordination: Elena stood out not only on the wedding day but also in the months leading up to it. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process--offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. And she always made sure we were taken care of (never without a drink in hand!). Her leadership and attention to detail made it all so effortless for us. Florals: Melissa tackled all of our floral arrangements, and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! Working within my limited budget, she brought my vision to life with stunning florals that perfectly matched our style and the seaside setting. Melissa truly understood the look I was going for, and her creativity and expertise made every arrangement stand out beautifully. She even gave me a calming pep talk before I walked down the aisle, which was such a thoughtful touch during a nerve-wracking moment. I booked her early and we initially just did a couple meetings to discuss our vision and needs regarding coordination, vendor contracts and florals since we did not need a full-planning service, only partial. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. Honestly could not have done it without her and she was without a doubt my #1 worth it vendor! Would absolutely hire her for all your wedding planning and floral needs.

She made everything so easy from the moment we hired her through our wedding day. She is kind, easy to talk to, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her. They say something goes wrong at every wedding however at our wedding everything went perfectly and that was all due to Gina making sure everything was in its place. We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day because Gina was there to do all of the background work and she executed it all beautifully. With the planning process, she is super communicative and keeps you on schedule to make sure everything is booked ahead of time. She has great relationships with vendors and she recommended the best vendors to us (DJ, videographer, florist, etc). Every vendor we worked with repeated the same genuine sentiment "Oh, Gina's the best!!!" or some variation thereof...and it wasn't hyperbole. We aren't from the San Diego area so we knew we needed a planner that was local to help us and Gina was the perfect planner. For those wondering the process, you have an intro call with Gina to go over your vision for your wedding. We discussed vaguely what we were envisioning for our wedding. I can't express this strongly enough...TOUR YOUR VENUES. We met her on the tour of the 5 or so recommendations and ultimately decided on the La Valencia hotel that day. (The best venue ever!!!) Following venue selection we had a handful of emails and calls discussing vendors and people she has worked with. She will give you a number of recommendations but it is up to you to ultimately decide. She is available and quick to respond if you have any questions and will make sure you have everything you need to make sure your wedding day goes perfect. On the wedding day she helped our vision come to life and made it look even better than we could have imagined. Everything was beautiful and everything went according to schedule. We had no stress on our wedding day because we knew Gina was taking care of every single detail to ensure our day was everything we wanted and more. Initially, I never even considered hiring a wedding planner because I thought it would be totally out of our budget. But when we decided to get married out of state, I was so overwhelmed by how much went into planning a wedding. In my search for venues, I came across Timeless Event Planning on Yelp. Every review for Sandy and her team was so amazing, I decided to reach out to her with an anxiety filled email seeking guidance. Immediately upon hearing back from Sandy, I felt at peace and knew that hiring a wedding planner would be worth it. In the end I couldn't be more right. Let me break this review down by all of the positives Sandy provided for us. Budget: Hiring Sandy for full coordination was key to keeping us on track with our budget. She only set up venue viewings at locations she knew wouldn't put us above our budget. There are so many hidden fees that you don't account for when booking a venue. If I didn't have Sandy I know we would have spent thousands more and gone way over our budget. In addition, the amount of money Sandy saved us with her connections, discounts, and insider knowledge was a huge plus! Anxiety: My husband says that he would have happily paid Sandy 4x what she charged because of the amount of anxiety she saved me. I often perseverate on the details and need to do extensive research before I can make a decision. There are so many things that need to be considered when planning a wedding. Having Sandy to just tell me yes let's do this, or no that is not necessary saved me hours of research and unnecessary worry. The people closest to me describe me as Type A and high stress, but Sandy said I was her chillest client. That is because Sandy is such a professional and excels in her field. It was easy for me to let go and to trust her. I knew that she always had our best interest in mind because we had built a relationship with her. She fully understood who we were as a couple and she could see our wedding vision clearly. Leading up to the Wedding: The months leading up to the wedding I was in awe of Sandy's attention to detail and strong communication skills. She was so thorough in coordinating with all 9 vendor teams and finalizing the finishing touches. Two weeks prior to the wedding she led the walk through with all of the vendors so that my husband and I didn't even have to fly down. Sandy even went above and beyond and helped me plan my rehearsal dinner. Wedding Day: Sandy's organizational skills are incredible. She created a detailed timeline so that everyone knew exactly where they needed to be and when. All calls and questions were directed to Sandy that day so I didn't have to worry about anything! The best part of it all is that Sandy and her team set up all of the decor and details the morning of the wedding so that my family didn't have to do anything. My mom and sister were especially thankful for Sandy because it allowed them to be fully present and to just enjoy the wedding. When I arrived at the venue on the day of the wedding I could have spent hours admiring the perfect details Sandy put together. Everything from our table settings to our 1,001 origami cranes was placed with thoughtfulness and intention. The details of our wedding were perfect. Finally, if anything went wrong during our wedding day Sandy must have handled it because I was completely unaware! Honestly, this review could go on and on because there are countless stories I can share about how amazing Sandy is. If you are considering hiring a wedding planner I highly recommend Sandy and her team at Timeless Event Planning. My husband and I agree that working with Sandy was truly the best decision we've ever made because she took the stress out of the wedding planning process and made our dream wedding come true!

I overheard him speaking to another vendor at the wedding saying that "the black violinist wouldn't have been a good fit. She probably isn't even professional and her hair is far from professional. No one wants to see that and all she can probably play is hip hop and rap." I was in the email chain with the first musician, and he never contacted the violinist when she tried to reach out to him regarding a timeline and COI and did not provide the information she needed so that the musician could do the job she was hired for. He lied and said he sent emails to her when he never did and Jaime used his inability to contact the first violinist as a means to lie to the bride and groom and convince them that the first violinist the family personally chose for their wedding day was unprofessional. Instead of taking accountability for his lack of communication and lack of professionalism to work with different races and cultures, just because he had a racial bias against her, he made up stories about her and degraded her based off the color of her skin. I will never work with Jaime Soto again.

He made our site visit seamless, and once we booked, the level of support exceeded all expectations. The pricing is incredibly reasonable--especially compared to other venues--and Yard & Sea includes so much like tables, linens, chairs, etc. It is flexible, customizable, and works for a range of budgets and needs. The vendors they work with are top-notch. We received tons of compliments on the tacos and the photo booth was a huge hit. (This wasn't your average setup--it was a high-end experience where you can customize the photo strip design, pick your backdrop, and choose from options like GIFs, photo series, and more!) The space itself is open concept, essentially a blank canvas with tons of potential for decor, and perfectly located in the heart of Pacific Beach. The reserved parking lot was a huge bonus, and Jay let us in as early as noon to set up--and even allowed us to store things overnight for next-day pickup. The setup and breakdown team worked fast and efficiently, and they were incredibly friendly and helpful before/after the event. Between the location, pricing, flexibility, and overall vibe, Yard & Sea was the perfect venue for our reunion. It felt like an elevated house party in the best possible way, and we're so glad we found it!
