The woman who takes the cash for gas is a TOTAL SWEETHEART and they use to have a air pump on the side of the building that was free not any more. That's all i can say that is good. This place is filled with dishonest practices. They failed us during an inspection and tried to make us feel that the car was unsafe to drive. On top of that, they gave us an outrageous quote for a simple repair. For a hub bearing replacement, they quoted us $800! We decided to take the car to a Chevrolet dealership, where they told us the hub bearing replacement was only $230 for the part and about 1.5 hours of labor. The total came to $410 (before taxes and shop fees), far less than what the other place was asking for. When I called to confront them about the inflated price, they didn't even care to explain -- they just said, "Take the job elsewhere if you don't like the price." It's clear this place is trying to rip people off, especially women, with inflated repair costs. I would never recommend them to anyone. I have lived in Annapolis for 16 years and this is my go to shop. I love Judy Moody (the lady that takes your money in the front) and I love that she waves at me every single time I come. I know it sounds silly to feel like I love my gas station, but I really do! They do Maryland inspections, and their shop is really fairly priced. You do have to get there really early in the morning if you want their service to be timely because they're so great. They also have an air compressor in the back where you can fill your tires. Great price on gas AND DIESEL. Best price in Annapolis. Only downside is it's cash only and closed Sundays but we should be paying with cash anyways and don't need fuel on Sundays! They always decorate nicely for the holidays too. Very nice "Christmas Lights" along Forest Drive by the middle school - they light up an otherwise dreary dark stretch of the commute home. Brilliant little gas station. Cash only and it is closed some days. But they are always priced better than anyone else. The woman that works there is super sweet. Its easy peasy. I have had an inspection here in the past and it was great service, well priced, and quick. They are just honest people making honest money. read more

Warning stay away from this service station, they are dishonest, and they failed to do anything to the vehicle, talking to the owner I found he is burnt out and unable to deal with costumers they have no idea what costumer service is, he only cares about how he can cheat you. read more

I used Marc Bowen originally to get my state inspection done. I shopped around the repairs but they were the most cost effective and I appreciated their thoroughness and honesty. I have taken other car there as well for what could have been more because I didn't know the exact issue, but they were very communicative, honest and quick. Horrible & frightening experience. Owner Marc Bowen charged my 76 year old mother for a repair that lasted only a couple of days. When she brought the car back to ask him to fix it, he became enraged, told her to take it to the dealer, to never set foot on his property again, and then threw cash at her saying "you obviously need it more than I do." When my mother began to cry & explain that she did need the refund & was a widow, this bastard said, "I'm not surprised you're a widow." She drove away shaking & in tears. Need to get some bedside manners or hang it up Marc. Don't be throwing refunds for poor workmanship that brings customers to tears at your counter. If your repair lasts for a few days, suck it up and handle the customer properly. Had it been a man on the other side of that counter, surely you would have handled things differently.
