Had such a great experience at Le Boeuf. Everything we ordered such as escargot; onion soup to the duck, ribeye, and wine flights were delicious. We honestly finished everything. The space is small; cute; and quaint. Felt really cozy. The staff were attentive and helpful in walking us thru the menu. Parking was easy w street / metered nearby. Would come back again!

This place is really cute. Feels like you are in a small cottage that is light and bright with smooth music in the background. The servers are very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. I got the lamb stew. it was tender and full of flavor sitting in a reduction that was slightly sweet to help balance the dish. The prices here are super reasonable considering the high quality you are getting. Would recommend

I was so excited for French cuisine This is not French cuisine, this is also not a wine bar. They had the most restrictions selections of wines to pair. They were out of two of the bottles we wanted to order. Their staff was not educated on wines even slightly. Their Bordeaux was the highest acidity and their cheapest selection. For saying they are a wine bar and their available glasses (after being out of bottles) was extremely limited. Wine selection, knowledge, presentation 1/10 Also... no coffee, no coffee machine, no espresso, they had a pot of black coffee... Appetizers ... I will just save my breath here 3/10 they have "escargot" so that's French enough I suppose. No Fromage. No cheese selection ... They do not serve bread and we ordered the baguettes 2/10 and the ravioli 7/10 The food overall this is where the Italian label comes into play. It is mainly an Italian menu. I did order the Duck, and it was delicious. It was a little tough but all together really enjoyable. Redemption! My friend however ordered the filet mignon and i guess because of the Sous Vide it was extremely well done and tough. Main courses, options, knowledge on them by staff, presentation, and flavor 5/10 Desserts... we ended with the cream, very decent portion but very bland. Again very limited. My suggestions for this place to survive long term, Coffee / espresso machine Wine training for the staff (highest priority) have a som or someone redo the wine selection and pairing suggestions. If not, drop the title of a wine bar. Really this was more disappointing than the non French cuisine. Secondly, ditch the Italian. Salt lake has a million Italian restaurants and a dozen that absolutely crush Italian and do it at the highest level. Serve bread with every table. Even two small selections. Get cheese, you cannot be French and a wine bar and not have cheese plates... Dishes, the sauces my friends... these need to go up, get creative, and some fish to the menu, Desserts you could easily get these from somewhere else premade to not have the pastry chef I understand that expense but custards, fruit dishes... Go French, go hard. Salt lake needs it. At this point I would not return or suggest it, it was not a great experience.

It's a very cozy place. The layout is a bit off, I can't tell what's wrong. The escargot was the only thing that draws me to this place, but it's kind of bland. The garlic, the seasoning doesn't really collaborate well. I was a bit disappointed. My lamb shank was kind of chewy. I couldn't help compare it to the ones I bought from Costco. Sorry to say that Costco was more tender. My friend had an interesting experience. Medium rare ribeye came barely cooked and chewy. We asked to cook it a little bit more. They were pretty kind about it. However, when the steak was brought out, there were no utensils. We had to wait for a good 5-8 mins before we can catch one of the 2 servers' attention. The potato purée was very good for both the steak and the lamb shank. Speaking of utensils, they kept forgetting our utensils. We had nothing to eat with when escargot was served. Then my friend had to wait minutes for the utensils after the steak was brought to our table. For a French-Italian restaurant, I can't really tell what's it is more. We like the concept, and want to support local, but this one is a myth

Service was amazing and food is delicious! Small portion but very flavorful! I highly recommend coming here!

An 8 oz. Filet mignon for less than $30.00? I don't know how they're making that happen and at this point, I'm too afraid to ask. Service was friendly and fast and the food came out quickly. A little too quickly, perhaps. We started with the lasagne and cheesy bread appetizer. Lasagna was pretty good except for the noodles were a bit over cooked. The cheesy bread was just okay in my opinion. Both were lukewarm in temperature. And as it turned out, just about everything we got was that way. Lukewarm. The steak included, which is a shame because it was otherwise perfectly cooked and delicious. The beef Bourguignon was the only dish that was served at the right temperature when it arrived and it was fantastic. It came with a side of crusty bread that was the perfect accompaniment and it was also nicely toasted and warm. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening and as I said before, while my filet mignon was a little on the cold side, it was an excellent piece of meat cooked to a perfect medium rare that was indeed one of the best I've had in a very long time. If they can just work out the temperature issues, this place would be 5 stars.

First impression, the place is very small. I wonder how they are able to make ends meet. The prices are very good. The food above average. We ordered all the appetizers. My favorite appetizers were the clam chowder (on my top 5 list) and the Caesar although it was pretty basic. Our friends enjoyed the Spinach Ravioli but I thought they were bland. Main entree's all came out at different times which was very bizarre and unprofessional. The Lamb shank was freezer cold and served with a tablespoon of potato's but tastes very good. I really enjoyed the beef bourguignon but wish we would have ordered with the potato puree. We were confused on who our server was as we were not introduced to anyone. Austin helped us towards the end. He was a sweet boy but more of a franchise server, not a fine dining server. Also sketchy receipt. The sales tax appears to be over 11.5%

Was really excited to try Le Boeuf and wanted it to be great. It was just okay. Good prices. My wife ordered beef stew and added the mashed potatoes. It's more of a pot roast dish and I thought it was very good. My wife commented that the mashed potatoes may have been the best she's ever had! They were so creamy and good. I had the filet, which is different from the tenderloin for just a couple dollars more. I asked the server what the difference was and she said it was a different cut of meat. The way I understand it is that they're both tenderloins but the filet is a center cut and more prime cut with the tenderloin being from the edges and can be shaped a little longer rather than round. The cook it in a sous vide which made it true to temperature and offer a choice of three sauces, peppercorn, red wine reduction or herb and butter for $3. I went with the herb and butter as I wanted to taste the steak. It came out with the peppercorn, which I'm not afraid of but I don't know if it was the steak or the sauce but there was a weird chemical taste to it. I asked them to bring out a side of the herb and butter and thought it was better but the steak flavor just wasn't there for me. 3/5 Came with mashed potatoes that were amazing. 5/5 Servers were very friendly but lacked polish, one pointed to a table to direct their patrons instead of walking them to the table and they didn't clear the plates from our table. I know nitpicking I'm really not that snobby but it is a power peeve of mine when they leave dirty plates on the table. It's a very small, cute, dining room so reservations are suggested.

Le Boeuf was a fantastic find for a professional Thursday lunch with a group of six, and it absolutely lived up to the recommendation. The small dining room felt elegant and charming, setting the perfect tone for a business lunch that still felt special. Every item on the menu looked tempting, but the clam chowder appetizer truly stole the show -- hands down the best I've had outside of the Oregon coast, rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. For the entrée, the lasagna was outstanding: served in a bowl swimming in savory meat sauce, so good that everyone at the table ordered it and cleaned their plates. Service was excellent, with our waitress keeping drinks refilled and the food arriving quickly and piping hot. Le Boeuf is a top spot in SLC for anyone who loves great food and an elegant dining experience -- I'll definitely be back. Atmosphere- 5 Food - 5 Service - 5 Flavor - amazing

Don't skip on: Beef Bourguignon First time at Le Boeuf and it was a fantastic experience. Clementine took care of our table and she was amazing. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in and the whole dining experience was so pleasant. The food was fantastic and all came out fresh and tasted so good. I loved the Beef bourguignon, Caesar salad, and the escargot. So delicious! The restaurant was well kept and there was a great atmosphere all around. Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for French Cuisine!

Had been wanting to try this place and so glad I stopped by for lunch. The restaurant itself Is very small and seats maybe 20 or less. The waitress informed me that if you want to have dinner there, you should definitely make a reservation as it gets busy quickly. The beef bourguignon was very tender and the sauce was delicious! Paired with the potatoes I was in heaven! I had lunch and more leftover for dinner. Paired with the dry rose it was wonderful. I will be back

Let's just say, Le Boeuf didn't take me to Paris. However, where else are you going to get a solid dish of escargot around town? The French onion soup was solid. The lobster ravioli was very good. The wines select by the glass was solid. The facility and service were both excellent. I realize when you are named The Beef, steak is going to be front and center. That didn't happen to interest that on this trip. Another time we will have to try it.

This small quaint French restaurant located in the bustling neighborhood on 900 South. The decor is warm and welcoming and it's a quaint place to dine for a small group or date night. There's only about 10 tables inside. We noticed other tables with these towers of wine glasses and we found out they offer a wine flight with different combinations of three wine samples for only $20. It was a great way to try a few labels. The for dinner we started with the French Caesar Salad served on whole pieces of romaine lettuce. I tried the Beef Bourguignon which was a hearty and rich beef stew that was perfect comfort food for the evening. Also tried the New York Strip Steak that was cooked to perfection and served with a small side of asparagus and potatoes puree. The service was attentive however my Beef Bourguignon came out way before the steak so it was a tad awkward having to wait for the second plate to come out. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.

The wine list is long, though there is not much by the glass. The reds we tried were good. The Crianza was my favorite, young and light but still flavorful, with a subtle dry finish. We ordered tortilla española, torta de cecina, patatas bravas, mejillones, and pinchos morunos. Everything had great flavor. There was some inconsistency with temperature. The patatas came out just warm, while other dishes were very hot. The pinchos morunos turned out to be more like a meatball on a stick. That may have been my misunderstanding, but when I see lamb pincho I expect grilled pieces of lamb. They were tasty, just more basic than I expected. For dessert we had churros. This may be personal preference, but I like to pick up a churro and dip it in chocolate without it breaking apart. These were more like a fried cake in the shape of a churro and required a spoon. They also have what looks like a very nice patio for good weather. I would be a bit concerned about speed of service if the patio is full, since the kitchen seems quite small. Overall, it was a good experience with well executed and flavorful tapas.
