I'm an Executive Chauffeur here in Southern Cali and as you can imagine, my attire needs to always be on point. The clientele I carry can often be particular and so it's important to always look good. I introduced myself to BIG LARRY one amazingly busy Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago, and he was able to set me up in a SHARP, raven black suit in NO TIME. Literally, it had to be within 15 minutes, and THAT was only because I had him also select a matching vest, shirt and tie for me. I was VERY impressed by his confidently quick, but thorough, professionalism (which can only come from a man of experience). Completed my transaction, AND THEN, he had his good man JAMAL further assist me by PHYSICALLY HAND-CARRYING my entire suit around the corner to the tailor shop ahead of me! So classy, man. JAMAL talked to the tailors for me, shook hands and sincerely thanked me, and ONLY THEN made his way back to MARCEL TIES. Then got my alterations completed within 1 hour, just like he said. WOW... I happily made my way home to Fullerton, in Orange County, CA and was just about to hang up my new clothes when I realized my VEST was NOT IN THE SUIT BAG! Apparently, it was accidentally misplaced AT THE TAILOR SHOP. Not a problem, the very next day, Sunday, I returned to the tailor's, but unfortunately, they were CLOSED. I walked back up to MARCEL TIES, who were OPEN ON A SUNDAY, and explained all of this to Big Larry. Without hesitation, Mr.Larry had me give him my name and address so that he could SEND my vest to me in the mail! He even said that if he'd had my size that day, he would have just switched out the two vests and given me one then. None the less, I did (just now) in fact receive my brand new vest in the mail at no additional cost to me! THANK YOU BIG LARRY, and family. If I could give this place a zero I would. First off all these ties are outdated. If you were looking for a tie 20 years ago this was the place. Second the guy behind the counter is a grumpy old man. He was not helpful at all and seemed bothered by the fact that I didn't like any of his ugly ties. After looking through all of his junk I found a descent tie for my dad. The tie was missing the pocket square so I asked if he could give me a discount (keep in mind that the tie was unwrapped) he responded with "get out of my store I don't want to sell you anything"... I was shocked at the horrible customer service. He proceeded to say "this is not a swap meet, go to a swap meet if you want a discount. We have rent to pay here!" I completely understand that he has the right to refuse service to anyone. But that was completely uncalled for. I will never step foot in this place again. It's sad because I had a good recommendation from a suit outlet a couple blocks down Nino Ferretti. read more

The guy that owns this place stands outside all day, every day screaming: "shirts on sale, ties on sale" etc-etc-etc "brand new store! low prices! take a look, take a look!" And it's always his "grand opening" - every day for two months now! He repeats this hundreds of times a day despite abutting a residential area. He has been told to shut up. He never, ever stops. They help you in all facids of help. From Suit to tie to shoes to pocket piece. And if you need alterations, they know where to send you and it's all done in a manner that makes you feel like you spent a million dollars and gained a new friend.
