He offered numerous different fabric, color, and fit options that suited what I had envisioned, and the result came out stunning. The thing that was unique to Mr. Kim's offering was that instead of buying a tuxedo I might wear just for one occasion, he was able to temporarily sew a layer of satin on top of my suit jacket lapels and take it off after my wedding. This allowed me to just buy one, high quality wool suit that I can keep, cherish, and wear for a lifetime!

Finally, I took it in, tried it on and explained the issue. They explained that it would be $65 to alter and confirmed that's what I wanted since the cost of the shirt was so low. They even delivered my items to me when I wasn't able to pick them up, which I really appreciated. But why would I go back after I was repeatedly shouted at to "get the hell out", take my business elsewhere, and eventually threatening to be sued? I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested.
