When I called him and told him the issue, he gave me several possibilities. When I asked when I could see him, he actually offered to come to where I was and fix it. I happened to be at church during that time and he fixed it right before the service was over. Not only this, but the next day when the issue seemed to come again, he repaired the issue with no additional labor charges. He was reasonably priced and made certain I was not overcharged for parts or labor. The fact that he came to where I was to fix my car was even better than I could have expected. I highly recommend this business and will be dealing with them from now on in the future.

We were only about 7 miles out from our hotel, but we were worried we might be looking at a transmission replacement as it seemed like the transmission went "limp" and wouldn't change gears while driving! The team at Budget Radiator and Automotive got us in quickly, took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem, and didn't jump to conclusions or try to sell us unnecessary repairs. They found that the alternator had failed, but they didn't stop there. During the repair they discovered the serpentine belt and tensioner were also failing because the belt kept slipping off. They explained everything clearly, showed us what was happening, and made sure the repair was done correctly. After replacing the alternator, serpentine belt, and tensioner, they checked the transmission fluid at my request, (which looked great), then test drove the van for about 20 miles to make sure everything was working properly before calling us. That's the kind of attention to detail and professionalism every customer hopes for. The van now runs beautifully, all of the warning lights are gone, and we have complete confidence driving it home. When you're traveling and your vehicle breaks down hundreds of miles from home, you're putting a lot of trust in a repair shop you've never met. Budget Radiator and Automotive earned that trust from the moment we walked in. Why were we not told this in the first place!?? My husband brought his car to the store the night before (last night) a 4:40p to have his tire looked at and get repaired. Who ever was in charge had already sent everyone home for the evening and was locking up the place. We've tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but this is the last straw. We've been charged for work in the past that we didn't give the go ahead on, we've made appointments online, only for them to tell us they didn't receive the appointment even though we had a confirmation email. Warning to my Neighbors:…read more This is about Steve's Automotive. I've been taking my vehicles to this shop for years. I am a loyal customer. I have referred a few dozens of folks to this shop. I am very proactive and always keep my vehicles maintained and serviced on time. My father was a automotive mechanic for 40 years and I grew up in his shop. I know how the job is done properly. I've done the same job a few dozen times. I don't have time due to work so I pay you guys to do it. I'm not sure what has happen in the last year, but this shop is awful now. Very unprofessional, dishonest, negligent, and unwilling to repair their mistakes. The car was un drivable due to their mistakes after taking it back multiple times. Wow I guess they can't figure out how to drain and fill the rear diff on a nissan Xterra with out it leaking. How could a customer not lose confidence after bringing it back 3 times and then they refuse to fix their mistakes and say your no longer a customer. I will have the nissan dealer inspect the vehicle and send them the bill due to their blatant negligence. I will also be reporting them to the BBB. I sincerely do not recommend this shop for these reasons.
