Since one isn't often in the market for larger appliances, I have only bought from him twice in the last 15 years or so, but with that said, the used dryer I bought from him 12 years ago, still works. You also, can't find a more reputable and nice guy - he's not going to gyp you or sell you some crap. At Christmas I called to see if he could send out a repair guy, but he said due to the age of my frig, that I would probably end up getting ripped off. He asked me the specifics of what was wrong, told me what part would potentially fix it, then told me where to go to by the part (Marcone Appliance Parts) and how easy it was to fix = $50 later my frig was working, and all because he's a nice guy. Honestly, I'm not sure if they've given up or if someone in Hollywood is secretly filming Mad Max: Hardware Edition inside. That said, if you're willing to dig, you can usually find what you need--though it might take longer than expected. The staff are a mixed bag: some are arguing with each other, others glued to their phones... but when you catch one who's actually on the floor and engaged, they're genuinely willing to help and often go out of their way to assist you. The store itself could use some love--organization isn't its strong suit--but it does carry the essentials, and when they get it right, it works. Just... manage your expectations. Not sure why I would text it to some random number. 9-11 comes and goes. I emailed him and said to cancel my apointment. He emails me back to say he is finishing up a customer and will be on his way. I say "OK", Five minutes later he emails ad cancels my apointment and said he didn't have any of my information on any of his sites. I responded to hsi email with a snipet of the original email with the booking confirmation # on it. Not sure how this guy gets 5 star reviews. I undertand being a small business, but this was not a good expereince. I would NOT recommend him to anyone.
