One of our all time favorite restaurants. Pasta is always perfect and delicious! Save room for desert, their chocolate cake is amazing!

We are Marconi Reward Members. We have enjoyed our food and service over many years. However, on July 2nd we had a terrible experience. We wanted to celebrate our son's birthday at Marconi's so called ahead to explore the precautions being taken and what options we had. Since we had a party of 14, we totally understood when the kind, young man with whom we spoke explained that because of Covid-19, we would have to separate as they couldn't seat a group larger than 10. I explained we had some members of our party who would prefer to eat outside. He explained that he couldn't take reservations for the patio. He, then, volunteered to make a reservation for 14 inside the restaurant. When we arrived, he explained, they would seat as many as were comfortable inside and those who wanted to sit on the patio could wait their turn for an available table. I thanked him for taking our reservation. I called back to confirm our reservation. When we got to Marconi's, we were told that our reservation for inside was not made and that a table was not available as promised. That group had to wait for almost 30 minutes. There were available tables on the patio for those who preferred to eat outside but each time we asked the older woman hostess about them, we were told a different reason for not being seated. After 40 minutes, the hostess gave a third reason for not seating us blaming us for the delay. We told her we were leaving and she followed us out of the restaurant loudly yelling at us. She appeared more anxious to argue with us in a condescending manner than to seat us. We will not return to Marconi's as long as she works there. Richard & Sheila H. read more

Our family has come nearly every summer for 40 years to Marconi's. We adore the pizza. There is something about their crust and cheese that is sublime. I also highly recommend the sausage and pepper pizza with onions and ricotta. Their salads are generous with toppings and they will split them for you. We adore this place. read more

While on vacation with my family and parents, my wife and I enlisted the babysitting services of my parents to enjoy a dinner out together. We enjoyed sitting outside and seeing gardens of basil, tomatoes, etc. around the restaurant and surrounding the outdoor dining area. This lead me to expect fresh produce as part of our meal; therefore, I was disappointed when the special, shrimp broccolini, did not have a single stalk of fresh broccoli, but rather at best the remnants of boiled broccoli from days past or, at worst, microwaved frozen cuts. For 20 bucks, I expect much more from a dish. Otherwise, my wife enjoyed her spinach artichoke flat bread pizza well enough (which was much more appropriately priced) along with the fried risotto (made with yesterday's leftovers I presume). Overall, we enjoyed our meal together, though not primarily due to the food. read more

Marconi's is the one place I can go once a month and never be disappointed. The staff is knowledgeable and the food is consistently fantastic. I've never had a bad meal in the 9 years I've been dining there. They have a huge and very reasonably priced wine list and they will help you pick the perfect bottle to match your meal. My first experience here was this past Saturday with a party of 3. I will state that I will not be back. Linguine with clams was full of grit and the sauce was the consistency of water. Chicken Parmesan arrived with soggy breading and was so cold it would not even melt the cheese. Lobster and Crab Ravioli was so fishy with undercooked pasta and a sauce that was inedible. Items were sent back to the kitchen only with the wait staff to return back to the table and stating that the kitchen said they could not find anything wrong. Of course no offer was made to replace the meals with another choice or an adjustment. We noticed 2 other tables had excited with almost full plates left on their table as well. I have been coming here my whole life, and I love it! They have great Italian dishes of all kinds, but my absolute favorite thing to get is the pizza. The Four Cheese pizza is excellent, as well as any other combination of toppings. My family comes here every time we're in town, and the staff has come to remember us. Dinner was very good and food top quality. We have visited this location many times in the past and the food continues to be worth visiting. One thing I can't get past and what will stop me from ever returning is the manager. She must be the most unhappy person for the treatment to her own staff but even more the customers. Between the rude attitude toward our group upon arrival to the lack of acknowledgment for our patronage to the harsh words she returned when asked a question. Our waitress was excellent but her effort and result can't overcome the impression left by the totally unprofessional manager who has been there a very long time, far too long in my mind. Uggh! Anyone who is a real Italian can never figure out why this place is popular. The sauce is sweet, watery, not enough garlic... and the entire menu is grossly overpriced. Very disappointed with the Veal! A FROZEN PATTY for $15. Wife's Chicken was tough. This place USED to be good.

For decades this was the best pizza I ever had. I have to say WAS though, because since I left town, they have cheapened up their ingredients. Their pizzas come in two sizes: small, and smaller. But they were perfect in a way I haven't had since. The pepperoni, the sauce, the yeasty, slightly thick but not too thick hand-tossed crust, the fresh real mozzarella. I loved Marconi's more than any other pizza and used to dream about it in college when I was flat broke and couldn't afford to eat anywhere other than Dascomb Dining Hall on my meal plan. It was the first treat I always got on trips home, and I still order one whenever I'm in Berlin Heights, just on the off chance it has regained its old ingredients and flavor. read more

Seems to be a local favorite around here. I think it's a pretty good place for a family meal. Servers are nice and food is served quickly. It's basic Italian fare. Bread for the table kept coming and their olive oil Parmesan dip was flavorful and a kid favorite. read more

Marconi's is an adequate restaurant when you are craving Italian food but don't want to drive to Cleveland. Their entrees are generally very good. I like the Chicken Marsala, Chicken Scallopini, and they have a phenomenal 3-cheese pasta with an amazingly garlicy red sauce. What brings them down to 3 stars is their lack of originality on their bread and oil. Their salads are less than stellar as well. Service is good and attentive. As a season ticket holder to Huron Playhouse, I have patronized Marconi's several times in the past and never had any issues. When our bowling team was playing in a tournament in the vicinity this past weekend, I suggested we go to Marconi's for dinner. Our group was a total of 20 people so we called for a reservation at 4:15 pm. We were told only walk-ins were being accepted. Our group was willing to split into whatever was convenient for the establishment. So, a few of us came to the restaurant at 6:25 pm to get on the list and wait. After waiting for 30 minutes, the manager came to me at 6:55 pm and rather rudely stated there was no way Marconi's could accommodate us, even in smaller groups. Mind you, we were all well dressed and not drunk. I'm not sure what his issue was, but even other patrons waiting for tables were shocked that he turned us away. One woman approached me and said she couldn't believe how rude the manager was. If we would have entered as 5 groups of 4, would we have received the same treatment? The next morning, when speaking with some other friends, we discovered their group of 14 went to the restaurant at 7:15 pm and were seated without issue. Given the economy today, I'm not sure how or why a dining establishment would turn away service for 20 paying customers, but I can guarantee they have lost these 20 paying customers for life. read more

This is another standard spot for my family. We've been going here for over 30 years (it used to be a smaller restaurant across the street from the present location). I also think that the food has deteriorated over the years (I used to love the pizza), but it's still pretty good, especially for a small town. Service has always been great. read more

I have been coming here for years, with my family and even had my wedding rehearsal dinner here. There is always great service. I really like their pizza and usually share it with someone, last night it was the margarita pizza. I also had the beet salad, which was tasty. You have to have an almond esse cookie for dessert! We had a group of us out for a family dinner, and it took over 30 minutes just to get our waters (We finally had to get up and ask for them.) That basically set the tone for the rest of the dinner. Service was slow (the restaurant wasn't even half full while we were there), our wine was oddly warm (we were guessing it may have been sitting out back), our food was mediocre at best, and the place just smelled dated. We had not been here for a couple of years and I am so glad we decided to come back. Everything our party ordered was fantastic. My pasta with sun dried tomatoes and asparagus was amazing. The sausage and peppers were a big hit as was the perch and roasted chicken. We sat outside and got blasted by the setting sun's angle a little bit, but the fountain entertained my kids. Seven unhappy diners. No one ate half their dinner. Pizza had clumps of cold ricotta cheese plopped on top. Lasagna was gummy slop. Raw grated garlic in pasta. Too bad bread is not the entree. It was only good food. read more

Happy that my husband and I picked Marconi's for dinner last night. The food was delicious, and the server was friendly and attentive. They have a large wine menu, and offer gluten free and vegan options on their food menu. Fancy enough for a night out with your husband, but down to earth enough for a family meal (there was a family not too far from our table, and the server was fantastic with the children). Stopped by Marconi's this past Saturday when my family was in town for a baby shower. We had a party of 7 (plus a high chair) and were seated within 15 mins of arrival. Not much room to sit while we waited, but I walked around outside with the baby while he watched the cars go by. The service was fantastic. Dan (or Daniel) was our server and he was quick, accurate, and polite. He even offered to get our little guy some applesauce to hold him over until we finished our dinner. We ordered a variety of food and had no complaints. The bread was hot and fresh. Only food complaint was probably the house salad. The Italian dressing wasnt anything special. The service made up for the salad. We didnt get dessert because the little one was fussy, but they looked awesome. read more

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The place reeked of fish. I ordered the veal piccata which was swimming in butter. When I sent it back the server was outwardly rude to me. To add insult to injury the manager didn't stop bye to apologize or do anything to to help the situation. Came here for a family birthday celebration. Hostess was very rude, but waitress was very sweet and helpful. Food was ok to good. But, Very upset when we got a charge of 12.99 for a slice of carrot cake! There was no prices listed on the menu! Just beware of the cost of the desserts! This really ruined the whole experience at this restaurant! I've lived in LA and multiple locations, but this has to be the most I've spent on a piece of cake at a family style restaurant! read more

Marconi's is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The price is a little more expensive than a chain restaurant, but the food options are different and change with the seasons. Definitely try one of the specials if you are there! The portions are large and hearty, but I feel like they have gotten smaller over the past 10 years. The environment is cute, but it can be crowded on a weekend night. I've never had a problem with bad service. My only issue is they got rid of my FAVORITE dish-the spinach ravioli!
