PLEASE READ! My two sons Lil Ty & Zach goes this morning to get an application from Marco's Pizza. They are driving my wife's red convertible Porsche! The shifter linkage breaks, so my son calls me to let me know. I get there to see what's up with it. I dont have the tools on me to fix it so, I tell my oldest son lil Ty to go in and tell the managers that their car broke down and their father will be back to get it after he gets off. So I drive my truck there with the tools to repair it. I'm in the car with the windows down repairing it and an undercover bro. walks up to me and ask if I have keys to the car. I said of course. Its mine and I'm repairing it. The officer says reason I ask is they said early this morning some black kids were driving the car and parked the car here and jumped out and ran. I then say they are a damn lie! I then explained to him what happened telling him I even sent my oldest son back in to let them know. So to the managers and owners at Marcos Pizza at 5730 Stage rd and the police officer, thanks for lying on my kids. Between the two of you one of you lied! Not quite as dense, not a massive slab of lasagna baked into a pie crust. Detroit style is lighter (if that's a possibility in the realm of deep dish pizzas), with the cheese baking off the edge of the pizza onto the rectangular sheet pan that it's baked in. The result is a caramelized crisp on the edges of the rectangularly cut (not sliced) pieces. Jet's does a fine job for a chain. A fine enough job that I'll occasionally brave the Challenger/Charger/Inifinti/stolen Altima open-access dragstrip that is Germantown Parkway to get take out. And that's saying quite a bit.

So that means the dough isn't made in house, which isn't necessarily a horrible thing but it was unexpected. The business just opened so there are things that (I guess) haven't been worked out on the inside since there were empty pizza boxes just laying on the front counter. There were a couple of tables set up for dining in but you could tell they are still working out the kinks (hopefully). Overall, there aren't many restaurants in Oakland so we're grateful they are taking a chance on a steadily growing city.
