We used Door Dash to get dinner delivered from here a few nights ago. When we got our order we were missing an entire entrée. I tried to call the restaurant several times to ask about it and the phone would ring until the voicemail picked up. This has to be the worst food we have ever gotten from Malanos. Cheif salad was mostly lettuce with some lunch meat ham sliced up. So other meat at all. I ordered online and said 4:30. I got a reply saying they were busy and it would be ready at 4:08. It took me 20 minuets to get this straightened out. Ok, when I walked in there was a woman and her son. Not busy. The cannoli was not a flakey pastry as it should instead a hard she'll with cream inside.. so I guess I can say,, "I don't plan on going to the hwy 64 location in Memphis again. Thomas read more

My Stromboli sure looked good, but it wasn't. Just a few bites of it was all I could eat. The dough tasted burned even though it wasn't. The whole thing got watery like spaghetti if it isn't drained well. I'm not sure if the water came from the two sauces I put in it, but either way, it got soggy. Then that sausage just was awful. The pepperonis and cheese were fine. It wasn't super hot inside, but it was about 80*. Not sure if there's a temporary problem, but not a good place to escape the heat. Milano's has been my family's favorite pizza place since I was a kid. (At least 20 years) We love them. The brothers that opened the original location are still there and this location is no different. They are experts at their craft of perfecting New York style pizza. If you enjoy big slices, cold beer and good people, you cannot go wrong here. They are local and the furthest location from Memphis they have is in Somerville, TN (Fayette County). There are several locations around town. My favorites are this one and the Bartlett location near the $2 movie theater. Suggested order: Meat stuffed pizza or stromboli. Milano's has been a popular pizza place in Memphis for many years. I remember one of their first locations in the Raleigh Springs Mall when I was a teen. It was just a small little walk in with a few seats and all these really good looking Italian guys working the counter. My girlfriends and I would hang out here all the time. And not just for Italian guys - but for the pizza too! It's New York style pizza with a really thin crust and great sauce. For abouyt $2.50, you can get a huge slice of cheese pizza, or the whole pie for around $14. The Calzones are amazing as well. I love the Spinach and cheese!!!! read more

Went here yesterday with my wife and kids and it's an ok place. The only thing I can review really is the vegetarian stuffed pizza which both my wife and I had. The dough was flavorless and the veggies stuffed inside didn't have much flavor as well. My kids had pepperoni pizza and they seemed happy and my wife and I tossed most of ours. That trip we had the pepperoni breadsticks white pizza and something cheese stuffed (my wife ate it) but it was all fantastic It's not the cheapest pizza place compared to the major stores but it's more than worth every penny Everything tasted and looked hand made Only complaint is sometimes there is a bit of a wait but that's just do to lunch rush and completely understandable. It was pretty quiet, but there seemed to be many people coming in for to-go orders. They sell much more than pizza but we opted to try the "deluxe." You can buy whole pizzas or pizza by the slice, both cooked fresh to order. My dinner date is the pizza lover and he gave Milano's 2 thumbs up. My toddler thoroughly enjoyed all of the fresh and crispy vegetables topping the pie. Milano's doesn't skimp on the toppings at all! Our pizza was loaded! Go visit this little spot! First off, I live in San Antonio, TX. Memphis is the half way stop for my family & I as we travel to & from DC to get daughter from college. This is a 3rd or 4th time coming here. We found this place back in the summer of 2015 when we stayed overnight in a near by hotel. This place has great pizza & pasta. Everything is good here. We hit this place on May 9th and like the other times, had great pizza. My wife had a vegiroll. Looked like a Stromboli to me. She really enjoyed it. My daughter and I had a slice of pepperoni. It's fine, I guess. I really wanted cheap spaghetti and meatballs near my house, as I was having a craving but only kind of wanted to put on pants. I ordered, as you may have guessed, the spaghetti and meatballs, which comes with a salad. I got the Italian dressing for my salad, and it was literally the worst Italian dressing I've ever had. It tasted just like water and spices. I couldn't finish the salad, unfortunately. The spaghetti and meatballs was fine, just perfectly average. My husband got a slice of sausage-and-pepperoni pizza, and said it was okay. We did enjoy the garlic knots they apparently bring you complimentary, those were well-baked and enjoyable. The service was also good. I just could not get past the horrible salad dressing and the mediocrity of the entrees. Overall, I think I could do much better, and so can they. read more

My wife and I lived in Codova for several years ... about 10 years. Now in NW Ohio. This morning jones-ing for good pie. We both thought of Milanos. It was great! Staff was fun. Casual. Took our daughter there as a toddler and didn't fear bad language from other patrons, etc. Wish they had beer there (maybe they do now) lol. Great mushroom and I liked the larger, old world sausage. Unfortunate to have to write this review, but my experience with Milano's was extremely disappointing. The pizza was cold. The spinach was canned. And the crust was stale. We drove 20 minutes to pick up the pizza and when we called to report, the manager was extremely rude. He asked us to send a picture of the pizza and told us to drive all the way back (40 min round trip) if we wanted any compensation. Been wanting to try the one in Millington. We shared the spaghetti & meatballs. Salad was ok, wouldn't have bought one separately for just chunks of lettuce,tomato & cheese..meatballs was good but spaghetti sauce was do bland. I should have done a review for this place earlier. I came here a couple of months ago with a coworker for lunch and liked it so much that i brought hubby here for lunch. First of all this place is sitting back off hey us 64 close to Appling road so you might miss it. Inside its a great little cozy place with a modern Italian pizzeria feel. The service is fast and the workers were very nice. What caught my eye is the nice clearly marked sign on the counter that displays the lunch specials. You can get a variety of items for less than 7.00 including the drink. The display of pizzas, calzones, bread sticks, Stromboli, and deserts just to name a few is more than appetizing to the taste buds. The smell of fresh baked dough is heavenly. The prices are great and you get a lot. My side salad was as big as a regular plate. Hubby loved his calzone except he wasn't crazy about ricotta cheese next time he will get it without it. All in all everything was great and he is planning his next meal. They have free wifi and support the Memphis police and fire departments. Oh and the garlic knots are good too. They did not have the Parmesan on them which worked good for us you could taste the flavor of the bread. The owner is amazing and super nice. He is from the lower part of Italy (south eastern part) and we enjoyed chatting with him before we left. We will definitely be back. read more

I visited Milanos last Sat . My two Daughters and I ordered the 18" white spinach pizza it was good . We ate all we wanted and still took two boxes of pizza home. Great value at $18.99 . I do however wish I had tried on of the traditional red sauce pizzas . The staff was wonderful vary good service. I will go back some time . Well done !! read more
