Really love the pizza selections, for me Chicken Florentine is always a go to. My husband loves their Pepperoni Magnifico, definitely no lack of pepperoni! Sauces are balanced and not overwhelming, toppings could increase in volume, but I understand given the cost of certain products these days. I was a little disappointed that my order had some errors, Boneless Buffalo Chicken wings didn't get sauced... came dry and if I hadn't ordered an extra sauce, they would have just been glorified chicken nuggets. Our Chicken Caesar salads, they forgot the dressing. My 4 stars are really for the pizzas, as they are pretty good! Attention to detail is always tough on a Friday night, but that's when it counts the most! read more

We ordered 2 pizzas, a veggie regular crust and pepperoni thin crust to pick up, delicious! The sauce was just right, not too much, which you know I hate, and not too little either. When this place opened up it was the best take out pizza available. It was always fresh and a great value. Over the past several years it has become horrible. Marco's Spanish Fort was a regular thing for us on Sunday evenings. Especially after a long day on the water or out enjoying ourselves. No longer is that the case. Last evening I ordered via Marco's app at 6:30pm. Simple order, medium pizza and a greek salad. Within two minutes I received a call from a blocked number stating that they were all out of salads and "what did I want to do?" No apology no "sorry for the incomvenience" No sorry we are out of salads three hous before closing somply "what did I want to do?". I asked that they simply remove the salad the tip from my credit card charge and to please make sure that the driver had a receipt when they delivered so I could confirm the charge had been removed. Another two minutes later I received another call from a "blocked" number and it was Marco's stating I'm sorry we are cancelling your order because "you removed the tip from the credit card charge". I had every intention of tipping in cash but wanted the receipt as confirmation, since the last several times they didnt even ring the dorbell when delivering. As of this morning the charge is still on my card and they were true to their word they DID NOT deliver because I chose to tip in person rather than by credit card. Note to the owner: Your staff in the evenings is not looking out for your business. When I drove to the restaurant to retrieve a copy of my receipt there were several staff members not in uniform, i.e. no nametags and no Marco's identifiers behind your counter eating in the food prep area. Zero customer service skills and zero care for sanitation. Such a shame that this particular unit has dropped in quality so drastically. read more

I recently read and article in MSN about Marcos being America's favorite chain pizza. It intrigued me. I have seen Marco's around. My wife and I have talked about trying it for a couple of years now. We just never did. Until today. This location is in a nicely taken care of strip mall. The parking lot is clean and well taken care of. Walking into the store, we were greeted by the manager. This was a real greeting, though. Not the kind that other places try to do while hiding their disdain for their jobs. The manager and the other employee were dressed nicely, clean and happy to make our experience a good one. That's top notch in my book. There were only a couple of tables, but this is really a take out and delivery place with a couple of places to sit. It was clean, comfy, and just relaxed. Marco's slogan is "The Italian Way". I'm not sure really what that means, but this is not an Italian restaurant. It is most certainly a pizza joint that also sells some delicious looking subs and salads along with its customizable pizzas at a great price. Three options of dining in, carrying out, or delivery we chose to dine in. I ordered the Pepperoni Magnifico, thin crust. My wife, a chef's salad. Granted, this is not an artisanal pizza joint. It's a franchise chain restaurant. But that doesn't mean the food wasn't great. Although I like my pizzas cut in pie shapes, and this round of goodness was cut into squares, I'll have to say the base tomato sauce is just phenomenal. Not too acidic, not too sweet, with the right amount of oregano, garlic and black pepper. You also could never complain about the lack of pepperoni as it covered the entire pizza. My wife, who never likes croutons, was raving about them on the salad. I tried one. Buttery and just the right crispness. Really? In a chain pizza joint? Yes, indeed. A little over $20 for food that could feed three. We left full, happy and as we were leaving we were thanked for coming to Marcos and invited to return again. We will. And we now know why it's America's favorite pizza joint, even if you haven't heard of it. read more

I placed an order online at 6:30 its supposed to arrive at the location at 7:20. pizza never made it. So called the store at 8:00 too see how long it would be before it arrive. only to find out the pizza havent been prepared. So I asked to speak with a manager no manager on duty to speak with. I also asked for corporate number he said they dont have a corporate number. which every business have a corporate number. then he suggested I need to just cancel the order. No apologies or how can we satisfied you as a loyal customer. he had no care in the world. I dont see how this company stay in business. I would not be doing business there again read more

We've been ordering from Marcos on 9 mile for years & have usually been pretty satisfied, but lately (the last few weeks) we were pleased to notice that the pizza's were consistently REALLY GOOD.....moist, flavorful & really GOOD pizza......and in fact, we told them what a great job they were doing on more than one occasion.....UNTIL last night. We ordered our usual, only to find that they were both VERY DRY and resembled cardboard more than the usual moist pizza that we were used to getting! We were so disappointed that we called them today.... Bree, the District Manager explained that SHE made those pizza's HERSELF and that they were FINE! She became VERY defensive & said that she knows EXACTLY how to make these Pizza's the right way! and that if we found them to be DRY, then we should have ordered Extra Sauce! She never once apologized or offered us a credit, etc. I would say this is Really crappy Customer Relations, especially for a MANAGER! We explained that they have been EXCELLENT and better than EVER for the last few weeks and now these tasted HORRIBLE, to which she said that the NEW team was obviously over topping then, and she was straightening them out! I was so shocked to hear that she thought HER PIZZA was perfect and that in essence, "she will [literally] be training her staff to stop making them so good!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Did not have the order done in time, in fact they forgot to make one of them and gave no resolution for the mistake and I have watched other orders go out after mine. They claimed they are swamped, yet watching them they are taking their time with orders and not being efficient, which as a business owner, I would not be thrilled with the performance. My wife and I are kind of particular in that one of our favorite pizzas is a white sauce chicken pizza. We have tried some of the other home delivery pizza shops and been left feeling so-so about their white pizzas. (One actually used ranch dressing as the sauce.) Not so this one. Marcos Pizza actually uses a delicious alfredo sauce as the base for a spectacular white pizza. We topped that with grilled chicken, mushrooms and tomatoes. We couldn't have been happier. The delivery was prompt, actually ahead of the promised time and the pizza arrived hot. They will get our repeat business. read more

Wow! Best pizza and salad I have had in a long time. We were traveling and our hotel gave a list of delivery places. I seen the reviews and they were right! We had a medium deluxe pizza and a garden salad that salad was awesome everything was so fresh & loaded with wonderful veggies & crisp! Nasty, not what I ordered, soggy crust, and cold when it got here. Also the Buffalo wings tasted like chemicals.

Do Not Order from this place! We have ordered pizza via Waitr twice and both times we had to call Marcos, they don't process your order from waitr. When we called they didn't even see or accept our order on Waitr. We have waited over and hour and half both times for our delivery. I will never order this place again. read more

Marco's Pizza gets 5 Stars from me. I am a Pizza Pie aficionado and their pizza is outstanding. We had a large "Meat Supremo" delivered (it arrived on time as they predicted, still hot!) cheese, classic pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, bacon and a sprinkling of extra cheese. The crust? Disappointed in the lack of concern when getting a incorrect order. Visiting from out of town and decided to order the pizza for the 3rd time, with flat wings this time. I was warned they get delivery wrong a lot. I went over the order 3 times with Trinity, and of course we get wings and drumettes when we wanted flat only. Called back, spoke to the manager Mike who really didn't care. Apparently everyone is one is not on the same page. All he had to offer were cheesy bread on the next order. He had more of a concern for the mistake it would have been nice. He told me he will not refund me 30 wings! They should have at least called back and explained why they were sending us something different. read more

They so graciously donated numerous gift certificates for our recent fire department Open House raffle and donated dozens of pizzas to our event!! Friendly staff, unlike many other places I have called into around here. I'd give 'em 5 stars if they didn't steadily mess up my pizza orders (it has happened at least 5 times in the last year), still pretty good stuff though. They are not stingy with their cheese or toppings like a lot of other pizza places. Really good crust with crust flavour options. Only gave a star because I had to. Tried to call in a delivery order 20 minutes until they closed and the person I spoke to on the phone "Sienna" hung up I me. Called back and was hung up on again. Called back and told they were unable to make our pizza , granted this was before they closed. I also said I would be willing pick it up, yet she refused to make a pizza , salad l, and extras we were ordering. She wouldn't even make the pizza during their "open" hours. By far, the best pizza restaurant I've ever been to. The pizza and wings are the best in Alabama and the employees are nothing but top notch. Can't see myself going to another pizza place.
