What a crazy night! I ordered online and was told that my order would be ready for pickup in 27 minutes. I was surprised when it was ready for pick up in time. I arrived here right on time and could barely step inside the door. People were standing wall to wall. everyone waiting to pick up their pizza. The young man was behind the counter answering two phones at a time trying to get peoples orders, pizzas etc piling up behind him and 2 people making pizzas as fast as they can. There was one person standing in the kitchen behind the stacked orders. Why wasn't this person up front helping the young man behind the counter. Most of the orders were prepaid. The person could have come out and assisted with passing out the pizzas that were getting cold just sitting there. Waited a very long time. Finally someone hollered, "Hey, is anyone going to work the front?". The kid behind the counter put the phones on hold and began calling out names. One lady was very upset because she just wanted to place an order and she watched all the phones lighting up and getting orders in before she could place hers. I felt sorry for the young man who obviously was overwhelmed. He called my name and I picked up my order. They just needed one person to come up and help him out. They should have 2 people up front, one to answer phones at one to help the customers coming in. After a long wait my XL pizza was amazingly still warm and tasted okay. I prefer a thin crust but they didn't have thin crust available for XL size. This place needs to be able to train people to help the front if necessary. The pizza was over an hour late base on their email confirmation. Paid for extra cheese, but the pizza only had the regular amount. Ordered the cheesy bread an specifically asked for two garlic sauces instead of the ranch and pizza sauce but did not receive them. The sauces as well as the extra cheese on the pizza are clearly printed on the email receipt, but no one bothered to look at what I ordered before delivery. When I called the store about the issues, the owner argued with me rather than trying to correct their errors. Told me that since the pizza was on special, they do not put more than a small amount of extra cheese. Total crock of sh*t. When I pushed them on the phone, all they offered me was a 20% discount on my next order. This is despite the fact that I had already paid extra for items they never included, and the fact the pizza was over an hour past the delivery time on the email receipt. Unfortunately, I've had prior issues with this store "227 Sandy Springs Pl Atlanta, GA 30328". Last year they delivered a pizza with just three slices in the box. Marco's Pizza 61 bell Blvd all because I found a hair in my pizza, and I try to be quiet and polite about it instead of flipping out, and then he got mad, because I even mentioned it to him quietly in a store, and somebody else heard me apparently.. I honestly have had mixed reviews with this place. Customer service has been a hit or miss, had to wait on hold for over 15 minutes to speak with a manager for the call time drop. Called back and asked for the manager and was rudely told it was. Great product, will quote you one time for a pick up order and you will get there and it won't be done. Finally asked for refund and told no and that they had no one going in our direction. Manager not available. Finally went to store and was told a refund would be processed but made sure to tell them to not give us the pizza. I will never order anything from this or any Marcos pizza in Lehigh. First visit to Marco's on Tuesday December 28, 2021. I would give no stars if this was an option! When I placed my order, the staff member never took my name. Weird. She just said it would be 15 minutes. When I arrived... The staff members were eating the toppings as they were making the food. Totally disgusting! My hubby and I always get this pizza! It's the best in Lehigh for sure! Marco's is a bit more money, but sooooo worth it. The employees, right down to delivery drivers are always nice, the food is always prompt and warm and always tastes fresh. All I can say is I'm so glad we have one good restaurant in Lehigh! I love that this location is so close to me too, giving me an option other than Dominos or Papa Johns. We have ordered pizza from here several times Usually the pizzas were good. So we were suprised when we got our pizza and the pizza was made wrong.We got it delivered to us. A welcome change from the crap they call pizza in the area! This is Philly style Pizza. This isn't NY or Chicago deep dish casserole style.... pizza. I found the X-Large Pepperoni pie to have been well put together. Good ingredients are important for a good pie. True, you pay a bit more, but it's worth it. We have ordered many times. The pizza is good, but the staff not so much. We have had the order delivered wrong in which they did correct it,but did not offer and discount. This latest problem is we ordered the pizza told the person who took the order that we only had a large bill so make sure to send change with the driver. Decided on a whim to order pizza and try out the new location near home. We had a few things to pick up and walk in to order then grab what we needed next door, pick up our pizzas and head home for a movie night. My first impression was " wow, there are so many people working here at once". Did our shopping and picked up the pizzas. The smell was great! Got home and had a taste. I was very impressed! Fresh dough and plenty of toppings. I think I can stop making my own pizzas and this will be our go to spot. As a former training manager of a major restaurant, I like how well they worked together to get each order correct. They were very busy so a bit of flour on the floor in the prep area is understandable. While all else was neat and tidy, I was a little surprised to see no one wearing gloves, however since each employee was doing one thing and one thing only, my concern for cross contamination was dismissed. Marco's is a thick crust, well-topped, medium priced pizza. Their specialty pizzas are very filling. Our family of 4 ate a large for 2 meals. My only negative is that they open at 11 which puts them in a crunch for the lunch rush. I highly recommend ordering ahead of when you actually want to eat. This place has taken over my section of Lehigh. Every day, I see a Marco's Pizza delivery car driving around. Sometimes, I see more than one car leaving all at the same time. My neighbors order it almost every other night. My brother orders it every week. When I finally got around to trying it, I was greeted with the orgasmic taste of what reminded me of the best pizza I've ever had. It always tastes like care and competence.
