As I was coming home from Ft Wayne I was detoured through Pendleton…read more I remembered I had an Italian place marked on my bucket list on Yelp- WOW- honestly this was the best Italian meal I have had in Indy! It is worth the drive!!! All pastas are made fresh. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They have a piano player as well...what a treat! I sat in the back corner and took it all in! The food was outstanding, I ordered Linguine Frutti di Mare- homemade linguine ( delicious) served with clams, mussels, scallops? Shrimp, cherry tomatoes, evoo, garluc, parsley cooked in a white wine sauce!!! As you can see I absolutely hated it... lol! I has an expression and lava cake for dessert. The lava cake was a little overcooked- that is the only complaint.... Other than the lady sitting across the table from me that talked loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear her conversation. I wish people would be more observant and realize they don't have to talk so loud when they're sitting at their table it made it difficult to hear the piano player and it went from a relaxing stress free feeling to an annoyance. I was so happy when her food arrived. This place is very special. It's very small. I got in because it was very early in the evening. I believe their doors open at 5 o'clock. I would highly recommend reservations, but if you have a special occasion that you're celebrating, and it appeared that several people did this is worth the drive!

We went back for a Valentine's Day date. Phil was our server again (awesome!)…read more We had the lasagna and shrimp pesto pasta special with a side of brussel sprouts and we both had their house salad + appetizer of cheesy garlic bread and marinara. While I don't think we should get an appetizer again because it was so much food, the marinara that can with the cheesy garlic bread was phenomenal. Both of our entrees were delicious! A ton of food. I wish we could have taken some home, but we're going to a show after. Brussel sprouts were to die for.... So good. Love the glaze they put on them. Again, I think we could have been fine with just our entrees and salads, but all the food we tried was so delicious - I am really glad we did. We may not make it back as often as I would like, but we love the ambiance, service, and food. This is a special place for us and we hope to share it with others.

The entrees (the monkfish special and the carbonara) were good but not great. I did appreciate the crispy, smoky pancetta in the carbonara but the monkfish had a somewhat mushy texture rather than the he firmness we would normally expect. The biggest issue, though, was the check. The calamari never came off, the meatballs for the children's pasta were more expensive than what was on the menu, and we were charged for an extra calamari dipping sauce that we did not ask for. Most of these problems were fixed but the whole thing illustrated a lack of attention to detail and an appearance of up-charging the customer in any way possible. Overall: Food: fair 4/5 Service: decent 3.5/5 Pricing: suspicious 2/5

La Trattoria is the only place in like a 25 mile radius (that I know of) that you can get mushroom ravioli. That's what I was going for. I brought my DH and DM along for the ride. Hubby got the filet with veggies and MIL got the baked lasagna. The salads come out first and while the lettuce was fresh tasting, it was just lettuce, what tasted like bagged cheese, croutons, and dressing. For the price of the meal I expected more. Hubby liked his steak and said it was cooked just about perfectly. MIL barely had any meat in her lasagna. The cheese was overflowing but almost no meet. My mushroom ravioli was adequate but the ground up mushroom stuffed inside a thick ravioli was not enough to fully satisfy my craving. I finished with a cannoli but it came out covered in Hershey syrup. It was okay after I wiped what I could of the chocolate off. The bill for 3 people came out to $128 and for me, it was no where near worth that. The food is just mediocre.

My husband and I had the spaghetti dinners and he added a side of meatballs. I ordered a stuffed mushroom as an appetizer and it was one big Portobello cap and it seemed to be stuffed mostly with ricotta. I wasn't a big fan of it it was okay. She also brought us a basket of bread with some dipping oil and herbs. A salad came with our spaghetti dinner, it was just regular iceberg lettuce and a few croutons and cheese. Our spaghetti came out it was nice and hot and we enjoyed it but it was nothing special. I also had a cocktail which was a triple chocolate truffle and yes it was very chocolatey. Everything was fine here but probably not some place we would go back to.

Very romantic space with low lighting and cozy atmosphere. Service was good and we were seated immediately and checked in on at a good pace throughout the night. We ordered the... Burrata Caprese 5/5 - Just get it. Get it. This was so good. We shared this as an appetizer and it was a great start. Short Rib Ravioli 5/5 - This was so good. Would definitely order again, flavor was just there and showing up. Shrimp Scampi 4/5 The shrimp was good, however didn't leave much of an impression for us. It could also be just because the range of different flavors we got this just seemed pretty ok. Dessert!!! We shared a cappuccino cheesecake and it was actually really really good. Was super tempted to get the tiramisu but we were feeling for something new and this didn't disappoint. Since we did it family style we thought the price was really reasonable and if you were visit for a late lunch or early dinner the area looks like a great place to walk and peruse at the little shops.

It's one of my favorite places to just relax and enjoy a meal. Another thing I really appreciate is how customizable their menu is. We ordered prosecco drinks with added liquor. It was so strong that we asked for more prosecco and they graciously accommodated us My husband had salad, calamari and pasta. He said it was all good Our friends had pasta dishes and salad and they were pleased The house inside is beautiful. Hardwood floors stained glass windows, all original. WilI I go back, no. They have a few parking spots in the front, all of which are handicap spots. They have a decent amount of parking spots in the back. There is a decent sized dining area that is decorated like it is the 1960 with old school memorabilia and Coca-Cola stuff. If you are dining in you must place your order at the counter first. I decided to dine in. There are two counters, one on each side of the restaurant, only one was open during my visit. I guess that is where they get the "twin" in its name. The restaurant serves salads, pizza, burgers, spaghetti and other Italian entrees. I got the lasagna, which came with bread and a salad or you could substitute the salad for extra bread. They did not have fries. But they did have potato wedges, which is what I got to complete my meal. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and they brought it to my table. It was fresh and hot. The lasagna was small and tasted ok. I have had better, and I have had worse. The potato wedges were pretty good. They do not come with catsup though. You have to request it. All in all, this is a neat little mom and pop diner. It really takes you back. I think that it does miss the mark on table service though. I am glad to see that they got with the times and do now accept credit cards, as a few years ago they did not. I always love supporting local.

We arrived a few minutes before they opened but they were quick to welcome us and get us started on the options. Once you enter there is a counter where you order with a menu on the wall as well as a board with lunch specials. I got the spaghetti with marinara which also came with a substantial salad and garlic bread sticks. There are several rooms for seating with both booths as well as tables. The decor is very fun and festive and definitely Coke oriented! We weren't seated too long before our meals were brought to the table, and things were hot and fresh and smelled wonderful. My spaghetti was an ample portion with a lot of sauce which I mopped up with the tasty bread. The rest of the party are their food with gusto so I'm assuming they liked it. It is a fun spot for a quick lunch or dinner and they had lots of options for hot sandwiches or cooked food.
