I found some other stuff too! I remembered seeing large bins of bulk candy and spices at Acme. So I figured, why not visit again to see if they have whole nutmeg. I didn't realize whole nutmeg was so expensive! It's like $74/lb. But I only bought two seeds, which ended up being $1.49. I'm following this chef that swears by fresh nutmeg. As I was walking around the store, happy because I found whole nutmeg, I saw a couple candy aisles. They have all the good stuff from when you were a kid. See the pictures of those candies that I posted. They have an amazing alcohol selection also. They have a ton of wine, a ton of spirits, and it's not the cheap stuff either, and all the beer you could possibly drink. Need a bottle of Stoli? They got it! They have top shelf liquor and you don't have to sneek into any silly state liquor store to buy it. I asked a worker discretely, "Is there a special cash register for this hard liquor" and he's was all like, "Na, man. You just take it to the checkout." I'm going to have to visit again. Their selection is excellent.

He is a problem solver who is kind hearted and extremely helpful. I often look panicked when trying to use my app and he explains everything in a way that never diminishes me. He has often taken time to help me and my adult son. I return here because of the excellent customer service and because of Dre's help even though its a bit out of the way. I've been to other Whole Foods and many markets that don't have a Dre. Someone of his good nature and ability is downright awesome in these trying times.

I've even visited some high end grocery stores to no avail. I ended up buying some fresh herbs for my recipes, however. When I walked in, there was an armed security guard standing by the door. My first impression was that it was no longer the clean standard, of my memory. The parking lot has debris blowing around. The store floors seemed dingy and had many repairs with metal plates and awkwardly uneven for cart rolling. My first employee experience was a nice lady in the Deli department. She was alone and seemed genuinely interested in waiting on folks but it was clear to see she was overwhelmed with busy. The store had bagged cold cuts in racks which i eventually took some because the wait was too long. As i left a woman was screaming at her, begging for broccoli salad. (I actually thought that was kind of funny) Wandering around the store i found many items abandoned in random places. (I also saw so much of that, it also made me laugh) Eventually I arrived in the booze section and i can attest this section was clean with fully stocked shelves. I feel as though this is clearly the priority section. I don't understand why that is though, seeing as there are over 200 stores and restaurants immediately surrounding this store. I'm guessing the city is concerned for the welfare of the other grocery stores in the area, which is a valid concern. However, this store carries everything else already, so building a Super Center would seemingly increase competition only among grocery stores. I can't find whole nutmeg anywhere, including at Wal-Mart. This store has a nice, large parking lot. The store is pretty well kept and I've been able to find everything I've needed so far.

It's pepperoni day, so I baked one with tomato paste--organic that I also bought at Aldi, organic mozzarella cheese.....yes, got it here too, uncured pepperoni and mushrooms (already had those at home). The crust held up well and ended up being a good crust-to-toppings ratio. Tasted great too! Baked at 25 degrees lower than box recommended because my oven can get hot quick. Rated this a 4 instead of 5 because it would have been better to have a larger crust size.

The bar area is an excellent place to socialize, and their dining area is great for lunch or dinner. They also hold local events here often, such as smaller concerts and wine tastings. Kennedy, the manager, is always helpful, kind and on top of her game. The menu has a nice range of meals to choose from, and I have enjoyed what I have ordered every time I have been here. Today I got the Italian sub, and Beau's loaded baked potato soup and it was delightful!
