She is the lady with glasses working at the fresh seafood counter at the Giant Eagle at Fairlawn. She is very unfriendly, always looks mad, and is never helpful. She obviously hates her job. The older I get the larger your store becomes. The reason why it became my favorite store to shop is the cleanliness and the freshness of the prepared meals, the deli is one of my favorites. Everything looks so fresh & that makes it so much better. The deli worker are so accommodating & pleasant. The moment you walk in the store, the produce is so colorful, you are drawn to buy veggies, that you don't really need that day. My only negative thought is I spend too much time & too much money. Stopped in for a few essentials & found a cute little festive plant. Bought one! Browsed the rest of the store while getting the couple of items I needed. All merchandise was organized well. Wide aisles so it was easy for two carts to be in an aisle at the same time. Plenty of staff around the store of which each one said hello to me and asked if I needed any help or assistance. I got blueberries that were moldy after a day. The prices were not the same at the register for some items. I would not recommend buying any fresh food items here because everything we got went bad much faster than nicer grocery stores. The beer selection is the only good thing about this place. read more

I shop at this location 4-5 times a week, Today my experience was not great at all. I had a bag of White Cheddar Cheetos that rung up at $4.99 instead of $3.99. I explained to Jackie the cashier, that the price was wrong. She then tries to tell me that I read the tag wrong and that I probably had to buy two to get that price. I informed her that was not the case and the tag said $3.99. Jackie, proceeds to pull out the ad and point her finger at a 2 for $6 price for Cheetos...they were not even the bag that she had in front of her. I again explained that the tag in the back where I grabbed them from had $3.99. She said she would have to grab a manager and did. Cindy the manager came and Jackie in a very condescending tone explained what was going on. Cindy went and checked the price, as she is walking away Jackie says "good because I don't want to be the one to tell her". I have a problem with a few things here, before I continue to tell you how the "manager" came back. As a black woman, I feel as if Jackie, was trying to insult my intelligence and implying that I couldn't read, or see what the tag had on it. This is not great service. I would recommend that Jackie reviews your handbook or video on how to create a great experience for those that help keep Giant Eagle in business. Now back to Cindy the manager. She returns with the $3.99 tag and proceeded to say that it expired on 9/7 as if I were at fault. I do not read the expiration dates on price tags as that is not my job. When I walk into this store I expect that the prices are correct, especially if they are displayed under the item. Neither of them apologized for the inconvenience or implyingI that I read the tag incorrectly. When speaking with Cindy I did remind her that as a manager of the store it is her responsibility to check that the correct prices are listed. If 9/7 was the expiration date on the tag that should not be brought to my attention, it should be reviewed with the other managers of the store and the staff. 9/7 to 9/30 is a long time to have an expired tag up on an item and treat a customer bad for a store's mistake. read more

This place is disgusting. It smells like rotten food every time you enter the store. The produce is terrible and many times I get it home to see that at least one of the produce items I have purchased is rotten. The lines are always a mile long. Just an all around terrible grocery store. Every time I go I ask myself why did I come here? read more

I shop here quite often, usually a fairly positive experience. I've always been reluctant to try curbside pickup for anything "fresh" like meat or produce for fear of getting an old/lesser quality product. Figured I'd give it a test run by ordering a package of strawberries along with my order of non-perishable items. My fears were apparently well founded, as the strawberries they picked out for me are all going moldy less than 24 hours later. It's a decent store with nice people and I will continue to shop in-person but will never order anything perishable from curbside pickup again. read more

The staff at this pharmacy is not customer friendly. I have asked for assistance with vitamins and supplements and was told 'i don't work out there, you'll need to find someone from grocery' also been trying to schedule my husband COVID vaccine. I have called and stopped in after trying to work with their website. Was told very rudely to 'just go on line' or just call 211 they will schedule you (211 is United Way and NO they do not schedule appointments) . Finally after trying for over four weeks, was told they have a list for COVID vaccine but disco me because it as over one hundred names on it. I had to beg to put my husband on the list. We were welcomed upon our arrival to this Giant Eaglr, or as my husband calls it Big Bird, by a lovely gentleman playing violin. It was beautiful! We ran in here for spices only so I can't review the majority if the store. However, I found the store layout very confusing and had to ask where the spices were. Kevin, a nice young man, showed me directly to what I was looking for. I was pleased they had a large variety of organic spices at great prices. I opted for self check out as I only had a few things. Closed by 10p.m.? Are children in charge of making the hours here? Poor Giant Eagle can't seem to get it right. I work right across the way from this place and have shopped many times for quality product but am always flabberghasted by how every Giant Eagle manages to hit mediocrity on the nose. Have a great deli? Awesome! but your bakery sucks. You carry the widest variety of oils and vinegars in all of Summit County? Amazing! Why is your store in constant disarray? Yes, this Giant Eagle has a superb deli and yes it has one of the most impressive (and frankly baffling) assortments of olive oil, vinegars, and other cooking liquids I have ever seen. But why do other parts of the store have to suffer? Is it intentional? If you shop during normal hours and need rosewood vinegar from Tanzania (not joking), go here and get your snark on. If you want to find bathroom tissue in under 15 minutes, don't. read more

The new cafe is so weird... Unclear hours, workers don't know what's going on and a nice patio you can't take the beer they sell on draft outside. It's just awkward and I don't get why they won't make this addition a place people want to enjoy. We got a chicken finger meal and a grilled chicken wrap. Both items were gross.... Having gown up with Kroger it's hard going to Giant Eagle now. Their produce could use some help. I sometimes go to the other Giant Eagle onWest Market and the two are very different. The other one carries some extra produce (artichokes) that this one never has it also has a better mexican food section. This Giant a Eagle has a better more up to date layout. Standing fridge/freezer cases versus the ice chest style at the other one. This one also bags your groceries for you. Pretty good Kosher section. Their meat is good though I don't love their bakery. It lacks kitchen gadgets which can be readily found at Kroger and Acme. Acme is great for higher end items, nicer cheese, hot items, organic, local and variety. But Giant Eagle is easier to shop. Fuel perks are a great perk. read more

Last two visits to this store have been disappointing. My recent check out experience was unsatisfactory. The clerk could not ring my wine purchases; she called supervisor, and something happened when they entered the wine purchase which resulted in my writing two checks--one for everything except the wine and a second for the wine. That wasn't acceptable; the s/visor was not at all helpful. "mistakes happen" I understand that;had she communicated the details rather than walking away, it would have been acceptable. When I spoke to the manager, he apologized. I wasn't looking for that; rather let me complete my purchase with one check. I would suggest additional customer service training. read more

We stopped here to get some to-go food from the deli-type area to take to my aunt and uncle's home for a family dinner while visiting in Akron. Someone we encountered in Akron recommended it as we had heard that the West Point Market had moved and had really gone downhill. (Too bad. We loved to visit WPM when we were in town.) We picked up some Rotisserie Chickens, Brussel Sprouts, salad, an apple walnut pie, some cheese and bread and wine. We had our family meal and everyone thought it was delicious. We ate way more than we should have just because it was so good. read more

U.S. Bank ATM almost always out of order! I know the U.S. Bank leases space from Giant so they're two separate entities but there's no Yelp page for the bank so I'll post this here. I stop here on the way to work maybe 1-2 times per week in the morning to take out $20 or so for lunch (our money goes into a lunch pool at work for our orders and we can't use credit card). Probably 1 out of 3 times I stop here, the ATM is out of order so I have to take out a $20 from the ATM in my building and pay a $6 surcharge. How hard is it to keep an ATM operating? read more

They re-vamped their store, looks great and added more cashiers. Although they're not open 24 hours anymore, they have definitely improved their customer service by adding more cashiers. read more

Close to my work so its easy to stop BUT I hate it when employees lie me, the Produce department here sucks, I purchase all organic products and this Giant Eagle claims their supplier never delivers what I want. I go to the other Giant Eagle right down the street and they always have it. Amazing how one employee can make a company look bad, I normally love Giant Eagle, thanks for letting me vent.
