Construction! We did not hear anything from the inside.

For years this has been my fav location. Peaceful. Friendly employees. Clean restrooms & theaters. Popcorn tastes like they use coconut oil...which tastes better than other popular locations. Line never takes long@ticket counter/food. The hubster has started to let himself enjoy movies more often. We've been wanting to see this particular flick for awhile, & I was a bit shocked it's still in theaters!! Employee said it has done well here since it released!

I don't know what all these one star reviews have been through, I see a lot of "because of this one thing" bad reviews (Like the soda machines are turned off near the end of close of the cinema and you couldn't get a refill of your half gallon sized fountain cup?) Please read through the negative reviews before taking them to heart. We have come here quite often in the past few years, we were just there today, August 1,2025 for a 2:30 movie. Nothing but five stars across the board. There was a new process to getting into the theater than I'd done before and I much preferred this way. Go up to the front desk, scan your pre-purchased ticket (I buy through the app so I can pick good seats from the comfort of my own home and I can pick and choose everything about my visit from best seat selections, showtimes, screen type, seat types. After scanning in at the desk you get two paper slips with your theater number and seat designation. I found this insanely easier to having to keep looking at my phone for the seat numbers, not remembering the ticket guy's instructions about which theater I was going to. The theater is very clearly marked, aisles are very clearly marked, the seats are very clearly marked. So very easy to go find your spot. I've never had a bad experience with the seats at this particular cinema. The lounge seats, which all of them are, have always worked and reclined the way they were supposed to. I've never seen a tear, I've never seen a crack, I've never seen a split. IF you happen to somehow come across a seat that has a tear then go look at the screen at the entrance to your theater and you can find another open seat and then tell the first attendant you see about your broken seat. The staff have always been very positively responsive with us. If you are lucky you will get to choose the theater with the trays for your food. Bonus! It's not a brand new theater so not everything will be spotless, shiny, new, with soft, supple carpeting. But they keep it clean and it's nowhere near trashy in the slightest. I saw on reviewer leave a bad review because the food was so expensive. ............have you not been to the theater to see a movie for a while?... The popcorn is always generally fresh, the nacho cheese doesn't come out in clumps of saucy snot, the jalapeños with the nachos have always seemed of good quality. If you know how to do it right at Marcus Theaters then this whole process to go enjoy your movie is effortless. If you get confused don't blame the theater, you just don't know how the procedures work. Don't give a negative star review because of your ignorance of the process. Plenty of parking, easy to purchase apps through the app with a rewards program, and super simple access right to the seat. A+!

Great place to come and catch a movie. Theater was clean and quite spacious. They have the reclining heated seats. There is a bar located near the front entrance and grabbing concessions was quick and easy.

This theater is a bit past its prime, but it's still a good option if you're not too picky. The seats are aging, there's a stale smell, and even the soda/pretzel bites tasted a bit old. Good location, reasonable ticket prices, just needs a refresh, IMO.

My friend and I had tickets for an Amazon movie premier of upgraded. I haven't been to this theater location in years. First off, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The inside could use some upgrades. We found it odd that the bathroom sinks were more updated compared to the soda machines. The other Marcus theater had the electronic ones and they have more than just 2 stations. This one only had the one side with two stations. The other drawback was the bathrooms. Only one set! They decided right before we got out of our movie to close down for cleaning. The ladies one did have a smaller one but we tried to walk over to the other side, but no bathrooms. This could help them out majorly if they had bathrooms down each hall. We did enjoy the movie. Sucked having to sit in the front row so close. People are nuts and get there at 5:30 for a 6:15 check in. It's first come first serve. Place was pretty packed for a Wednesday night. We usually go to Ronnie's but they were sold out.

I took my family here to watch Migration, as my oldest son had been wanting to watch it for a while. The gentleman that was printing tickets was very personable and nice! I was excited for this experience! Then- we went to the food area to order...mind you, I've got two boys who are eager and ready to go see a movie and get their ICEEs! The customer service at the counter for the food area was horrible. I had a young lady who wasn't personable and seemed as though she was nervous....I had to tell her my phone number 3 times to get my rewards entered for the order, I asked her a question if there was a kids combo that came with an ICEE...she had no idea (there was one!), and I had asked to order a soft drink and she didn't put that on the order. I had to go back to her about 2 times....by the time I sat down I was so overwhelmed with frustration with my experience with her and another man at the food counter, I cried.... I don't think we will be back anytime soon..... I did like the size of the movie theatre (not so big) and the cleanliness of the theatre.

Nice nice Marcus in stl. Not like others. Good but different vibes. Theater chairs can't handle bigger people one broke mid movie. Still nice spot.

We came to a daytime show to see Kung Fu Panda. I bought tickets on the app so we quickly checked in when we got there. The concession stand looked empty but I finally found someone to help us get some kids combos. The size of the theater was nice and we were able to easily find our seats. My daughter also loved the Kung Fu Panda photo ops available after the show.

Insane how loud the previews are before kids movies. They need a reasonable adult to manage this place.

Ask the Community - Marcus Des Peres Cinema

Does the 5 star lounge include a meal, or do you have to pay for that on TOP of the steep ticket price?

The movie is all that's included except for Tuesday's.. free popcorn on Tuesdays.

Can I bring my child into the five star lounge?

Since you have to be 21 to get in, I imagine you wouldn't be able to.

The game area is on the smaller side but will meet your needs depending on what you're looking to play and as long as the area isn't crowded. There is a machine you have to load a game card with, it takes cash and cards. We opted out of bowling. We ordered a few cocktails. The alcohol selection at the bar and the bar are very nice, the downside was the bartender didn't know how to properly make cocktails, so I would suggest opting out of one of their signature cocktails and going for what you know. The inside is spacious and there is bar seating and bar tables. They also have table games that are free. They have a nice selection of food to choose from. We ended up staying to catch a late showing of Weapons. You can place your ticket order and food order at the same time. The inside of the theatre was spacious and nice, with reclining seats. The down side is trying to cozy up with your guy the seats aren't really comfortable enough to accommodate that. They do need to do a better job at cleaning between shows and keeping the popcorn area clean.

It was nice to watching jazz sad songs and looking over at the deco lamps faintly glowing - such a vibe! My husband and I don't have the same taste in films, so I found these much better than the larger theater rooms. I hope to watch Six the Musical here if that's an option! Now, I won't return. Situations like this will continue and you have lost ticket sales and concessions from someone who really likes to blow money when there's a special time with friends. We budget $50+ per person if it's a special movie date. I love icees and only eat popcorn at the theater. We sneak in a little, but it's maybe $10 worth of stuff not offered. Everything the theater offers we buy and a lot. Seems like it is standard for your business to be rude and nasty which is sad. I love going out, but I need outings to be worth the money as I have a mini movie theater at home to share with our friends that is complete with blankets and my own terrible service due to my not wanting to get up to wait on everyone always. Let us patronize your business, well not us since you seem to hate people who blow money for fun and expect to be charged for what they've purchased not random fees snuck in. Some of us don't want to argue the fees because we don't want to ruin the experience for our kids or make some fuss and upset others. Instead we just go with it and cough up more than you deserve. They offer a mixture of new movies as well as cult classics. I love that you can order food and drinks while in their reclining lounge chairs and they bring it to you. There are a few things that I noticed can be difficult for those with a disability especially if you don't have a wheelchair. There didn't seem to be any handicap parking near the entrance which made walking to the theater a problem, especially since my mom has a disability. Also, once inside the theater, the main row is kinda awkward to get into the seat when having to use a walker since you have to climb a step to get into the seat. I enjoyed my experience, but I can see how someone with a disability would have a difficult time with accessibility.

Unfortunately, our issue also dealt with the staff not just the state of the theater itself. This was so nice when it opened in 2010! It was one of the first theaters in Missouri to launch with 100% digital projection screens and known for its luxury reclining leather seats. Sadly now, pretty much every theater has ripped seats and the bathrooms are unkept every time we visit. I've just watched the theater deteriorate over the years with no new additions or upkeep. They still have a space for private parties and events but I've yet to see anyone book this room with a bar. In this specific experience, we got a combo with a refillable drink and popcorn. During the movie, I went to the front counter to find an employee for a refill and there was no one to be found. I was missing the movie, waiting for at least 10 minutes at the concession counter and could see into a back room so I said, "hello," several times. A man, a customer, viewing another movie walked up to the concession counter and I explained I'd been waiting and there were no employees to be found. I didn't want to keep missing the movie so I went back to the movie without any refill. I really hope the movie theater owners consider renovating a little bit especially because of their investment in the new apartment complex being built directly next door to the theater. The apartments will have brand new mixed use space available for businesses to come in which people will probably visit before or after a movie. I've met the movie theater owners several times and they never seem to be physically present at their actual existing business. Higher expectations for a business in Wildwood!
