We eat at Marcus Grill about once a week and always enjoy our meals (but not the loud acoustics). I particularly like their cabbage soup, chicken stir fry, and Tuscan shrimp, along with an occasional Polish combo plate. The dill pickle soup is quite tasty also. Why only four stars? Because Marcus Grill serves the worst Arnold Palmer drinks I've ever had! More often than not, they look and taste like diluted ice tea. After hearing all of the rave reviews about this place we finally got a chance to eat here and it did not disappoint. We both wanted polish food since my husbands heritage is polish and we love polish food. Honestly this was some of the best polish food I've ever eaten anywhere. My husband ordered the Marcus Combo that had almost every polish item except for potato pancakes - I got the mini combo with the potato pancakes pierogi and crepe so we shared bites and got to taste everything. We both started with soup, chicken and dumpling and tomato bisque. Both were hot homemade and delicious. Then on to the main event. I especially loved the city chicken even though that's not my favorite polish food this one was super moist and flavorful. The homemade mashed potatoes (with lumps) in the middle of the plate was a perfect compliment to the stuffed cabbage and city chicken and there was a huge amount. The potato pancakes were huge and cooked to perfection. And the pierogi were delicious, perfectly sautéd and stuffed full. All of the food was piping hot and the service was top notch. Definitely will be back. Not sure if I'll be able to review anything else on the menu because I'll always want to order the polish food. read more

The food is perfect, charbroiled lamb chop excellent cooked, the short rib delightful. I had a strawberry Mojita very refreshing and perfect. Ours dessert was berry mascarpone and apple pie , this pie has the most delicious pie crust ever. Believe me this place worth the time to enjoy it. The food is not "house made". I ordered the house made corned beef hash (which is $12) and I was presented with burnt hash out of a can (which is $1.29 at Kroger). The service is also pretty bad. They were rude and inattentive. I have tried this place 3 times and have had the same experience each time. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Time to add another review! It was beautiful to finally get back into meeting up with people and enjoying our time out! My sister was in town from Escanaba, and she missed having Marcus food! We we headed here! All 10 of us! They said since it's still social distancing, they usually have no more than 6, but they were very accommodating! They sat us in the banquet room with plenty of room to spare! We had our own bathroom! The waitresses were wonderful! We had mostly kids with us, but they were all very happy with their chicken tenders, spaghetti, sandwiches, and fries! I had the chicken quesadilla and let me tell you, it was so fresh and hot I couldn't even pick it up yet I had to wait about 10 minutes for it to cool down! Now that's the way food should be served! BRAVO! My sister and I also got their amazing chicken dumpling soup! THAT IS A MUST HAVE! They even made my kids bdays extra special with candles and ice cream! Delish! Outstanding food, great and friendly service and a great menu selection. My parents live in the area and when they stated this was a favorite place I figured some basic bland selections but I was happily incorrect. I had an excellent chicken stir fry, my sister had stuffed peppers and the rest of the family had fish and chips. All the food was served hot and promptly and was quite tasty. The portions were huge and prices were very reasonable. Service was amazing. It seemed that anyone who came by the table would clear dishes and ask if we needed anything or how the food was. Our primary waitress Jocelyn was excellent in her own right. The menu selection was amazing. They had a list of daily specials and it appears their specialty is Polish food. I saw an amazing plate of pierogies go to another table. As we are in town one more day I may have to go back just for that. read more

Went with my in-laws a few weeks ago for dinner. I've only been here for an engagement party years ago, I don't recall the food. They were very busy but our party of 5 adults and 1 child were seated right away. Our service was great, given she had many other tables to attend. We each had a variety of meals; one ordered breakfast, chicken wrap, kids meal, soups/salads, burger. The waitress said they have great polish food but none of us ordered any Polish dishes, maybe next time. Everything was great, no complaints. Some took leftovers home. We came here after we learned that ocean breeze was closed permanently. I ordered the chicken chipotle wrap with French fries. It was delicious. My mom had a Greek salad, a cup of cabbage soup, and coleslaw. The Greek salad was really good. She said the coleslaw was good. She said the cabbage soup was mediocre. So I have been here twice. The first time I ordered the Polish Plate. It was better than your average Polish fare and I would order it again. I would have given this place higher marks had it not been for the famous Marcus Burger. I read so many positive reviews about the burger so I had to try it. Honestly, it was very underwhelming. As a burger it's very mediocre. It reminded me of a typical cafeteria hamburger that sits in those metal pans of steamed water. The meat was fresh and all and tasted like meat should but there was absolutely nothing special about it. I would say it was almost bland. The raw onion, relish, and ketchup and mustard helped. I can understand that people may be drawn to this burger for nostalgia reasons but if you are looking for a great burger this isn't it. There are far better options in the city. Having said that, I will be back to try some of the other menu options but will never order the Marcus burger again, because to me, it's more of a novelty with a great story than it is a great burger. Low marks for service too. I was told 5-10 minutes by the server when I ordered the carryout. It was more like a half-hour. In all fairness, every restaurant these days is plagued is poor help due to the pandemic and epic worker shortage so I can't be too harsh there. read more

Very disappointed! Planned a surprise party for my mom and shared the typed up menu (hand delivered) to one of the managers at the restaurant 2 weeks ahead of time. It should be noted that I picked this restaurant because my mom loves a certain sandwich. Two hours before the party the manager calls and explains they can't serve two of the options on my menu. One of the two options they can't serve is my mom's favorite sandwich. I almost (okay I did) cried. The manager made it sound like it was my fault I picked those selections. But, forget that the food is sub-par; it's the way that manager and other staff treated us. They should NOT be working with the public! We try and support one-off restaurants rather than food chains as a rule. Our (senior) friends suggested we give this place a try. Second time here within a one month period (Saturday mornings both times). First time visit was decent, place is clean, the waitress (bummer: forgot her name) made up plenty for the average food (we ordered Omelettes and skillets). Second time the food still mediocre plus cold potatoes, pancakes, and we had to bother (awesome!) busboy to help us with items the waitress (Amy G - name on receipt) kept missing and due to her lack of paying attention. We have enjoyed eating here a number of times and decided to host a family baby shower for our daughter this past Saturday, November 24, 2018. From start to finish, we were treated like royalty. They made the planning easy. The menu choices were varied and the cost was very reasonable. The day of the shower, we had 2 servers, Presley and Jodie. They were absolutely outstanding and graciously accommodating of our 50 guests through the duration. We chose lemon chicken and roast beef for the main course. Every dish was ample and warm. The food was delicious and melt-in-your mouth quality. We heard nothing but positive raves from our guests. We would not have done one thing differently. This is the third time eating here. First 2 times I had Their perogies and stuffed cabbage and they knocked it on it of the Park. This time I had their big breakfast and wasn't bad. The hasbrowns were a little undercooked but the eggs and breakfast meat was good. It could be that the place was very very busy so I am willing to give their breakfast another try.
